- You ever find yourself so upset with a colleague that you just don’t how to react? Whether it’s small things like heating up leftover Tilapia that makes the whole office smell like a fish market or catching a person walking out of the bathroom without washing their hands. These types of small annoyances can get under your skin. For Aqib Talib, when it came to competing on the field, he hated looking at Michael Crabtree’s gold chain. Talib loathed Crabtree’s necklace so much that he vowed to snatch it right off his neck. Which he did not once but twice.
Michael Crabtree and Aqib Talib’s beef is highlighted by these chain snatching incidents but their feud runs much deeper than fighting over jewelry. It’s a beef rooted in trash talk that dates back to their days of high school ball in Texas, that carried over to their time spent in the Big 12 conference in college, and finally reached its boiling point in the NFL. While the chain was the breaking point between these two, this beef truly has some history.

The real beauty of this channel is that even if someone can’t get into the actual content of sports, you guys capture the stories, which even my friends who aren’t into sports can appreciate.
That's my favorite part. No matter how little or how much somebody knows about a sport, everybody loves the petty
It's also kinda like amo for those who hate sports and constantly complain about athletes getting paid more than doctors. They'll use stories like these to defend their hatred.

Was kinda hoping that they would challenge each other to a go-kart race with the chain on the line but it actually being about respect. Eventually they become friends, build a super fast go-kart, and fall in love with each other’s sisters, until Crabtree reveals he was a cop all along.

Fact the nfl did nothing after Talib first snatched the chain is how it got to anything real.

The feud between Rozelle and Art Davis is one of the most vicious in league history and were still seeing it down to this day in how the league did Jon Gruden. If that actually goes to trial I will be watching with the popcorn out. But the league will probably settle because they have too many exposed people.

I moved the defensive coordinator of Kansas to North Texas to be the head coach there. I brought up the Crabtree/Talib debacle. He went on to tell me how Michael had been recruited by Kansas and Talib was supposed to show him around the University. Anyway, they got into it and Michael went to Texas Tech.

@@Chopan8809yes. It was a popular story on the recruiting trail back in like 05. Crabtree was the biggest recruit tech ever got too, and I’m willing to bet Kansas would have been playing in the natty if Crabtree was on that ‘07 Kansas Jayhawk team.

I remember when this happened, and thinking then, as I still do now, "This is actual theft and/or destruction of property, how are there no repercussions from this?" Like, if it's gold and diamonds, that's *not* even petty theft. And the fact that he *planned* to do it makes it premeditated, so... Yeah, I never understood why more heat didn't come down on Talib, be it from the media or the League.
you should look into the more serious things the nfl has “allegedly” helped cover up and sometimes actually cover up. some things were more of a swipe it under the carpet since no one will care in a week.

I've always been confused on this one. I know a lot of people don't like Crabtree, but that's a real gold necklace, right? Sherman was correct, and I sent him a congratulations tweet which he replied to and I have pinned on my Twitter to this day, wherein I also predicted he would join the 49ers.
