Hi guys, thanks so much for the video, we are still here but stuck in limbo a bit and having to work more at my normal job. We will be back, it will just take some time.
I think I have an issue with our contact form I will need to look at but I found one email hidden in the spam folder from the 6th July and have just sent you a reply, so sorry it's been missed and thanks alot for doing the video!

The way to do this "risk free" (just like Tefat being an artist loving DG and some friends making the discs on Gotland in Sweden) its not the main income for the passionate people behind it but can be put on ice now and then if needed, the goal is to break a bit more than even and be happy? ;D

I talk up disc golf whenever I can. I’m new to the sport, but I’ve been in love with it from Day 1. I definitely want to see it grow in my area.

As an Australian, I think Fourth Circle is a couple of guys in Queensland. No idea what they are up to now, but they trickled out four or five discs that were well received here. A lot of players here loved the Taipan, which I think was their first.

Disc Golf is the greatest sport on Earth. When I realized that, I wanted everyone to know. Now I'm ok with however long it takes the entirety of humanity to figure it out. They'll get it. If they get it later, my home course just won't be as crowded until then.

I personally use Viking Discs to prove that its not the brand that make a player good, but the player make the disc good.
And I hope that Viking Discs will grow moore. They also have no update on Facebook, Instagram or TH-cam. So I hope you can help them grow. I think they have great discs. And as a Norwegian guy, the discs suits me well.

I am a middle aged woman of 55.. Started throwing plastic close to a year ago. Got so hooked and will never give it up. Introducing it to friends and family, and we all got some health benefits from it. Exercice, fun, company and being outdoors. I think it is important to acknowledge disc golf is not just a competitive game, it is a game for all, to get out there, having fun, play a game and get so much in return. I just love it! I am very curious about infinite disc and what they have too offer to the game.

    Those firehawks are great discs!
Straight and glidey with a wide margin of error
I got one on sale from infinite for kicks, threw it for a week, and then got 3 more
    always one in the bag

I spend some time cleaning up the local Disk Golf Course in my home town. There are alot of trees on the course so branches are always falling. Usually, that just means picking up some sticks as I am playing through. I have taken a wheelbarrel up there twice to clean up. Last time was after a wind storm. Halled four wheelbarrels into the woods and still did not get all of it. Though, I was pushing myself at that point. Wore out and my back hurt.

Prior to the DGN site reboot this year, you could watch a bunch of pro tour events going back to like 2017 or so. It was wild watching commercials for disc golf companies that just don’t exist anymore. It is the churn of business in general and even more so in a niche sport.

I throw a fly which is great. Have a huntsman that I have not thrown, but after watching this it might fill the overstate putter slot I do not have in my bag.

I am not surprised by the post Covid recession of disc golf. The sport will experience some further downturn before leveling out. (Would the DGPT look to associate with gambling sites if things were going well?) To grow the sport I often give away discs to players using Ultimate discs or frisbees on courses. A few months ago in Australia I met a couple of guys who were going to play with an Aerobie and a small (American) football. I gave them a River and told them to enjoy themselves. I try to play as many courses as possible (while traveling) and leave reviews about them on UDISC from the point of view of a newer player. I think I have recommended Daredevil Discs out of Ottawa, Canada in the past. Let’s see you review a handful of their discs.

Disc golf market is not sloving down, it will grow, but like in the era of first home computers, smaller ones dies out and very few new one will crow up while biggest gets even bigger!
It is the market of economy, brand recognition, marketing power…

I bag one of everything Fourth Circle has made with the exception of the Huntsman Zero One as a putt with the Zero Two.
01's are a bit like a KC Aviar
The dingo is an absolute workhorse of a disc that beats into laser straight.
The Firehawk is a great hyzerflip 8 fairway driver
The fly is good, but competes a lot with the other 5/5/0/0's on the market.
The Taipan is also another popular disc in Australia and is possibly their most popular disc.

The large manufacturers need to reach out to huge sponsors. A big prize purse will attract top players and attention. There's really not alot of money in Disc Golf for the players.

Disc golf is getting somewhat popular over here, but I don't think the market is big enough yet to sustain a local manufacturer when RPM already had a big foot in the local market, and overheads for small producers are unsustainable. I think the guys are still around, they might have a stake in OZDG who have released a fairly popular putter over here.

I started last year on the sport at a friend's suggestion. Since then I've gotten my wife and daughter hooked as well as two friends. I have a spare disc bag for people to borrow discs from me when they want to try it out. I post about my rounds ... and I'm considering a little free disc library....

I’m growing the sport by taking my girls disc golfing regularly. My oldest is absolutely hooked. The baby not so much, but she likes to help me look for my discs.
Also got family visiting and have a few members reached out to me asking if I would teach them and take them to a course. Best way to grow the sport is by putting discs in someone’s hands.

The only way to grow the sport sustainably is on the grass roots level, local clubs, which maintain courses and organize local competitions. Those local clubs should cooperate with nearby clubs and have a regional umbrella organizations which should try to acquire small amount of sponsorship money from manufacturers to keep courses going in exchange for luring new players into the game. How to lure them? Well... local (guerrilla) marketing. Participate into local fairs, go demonstrate the sport to schools and offer beginner lessons, make social video posts. And that's where established manufacturers can make a difference. You're not gonna get any deal from a random PO Box disc golf ompany on the opposite side of the planet.

Pretty sure business is business and the big dogs almost always swallow up the smaller ones on their way to become even bigger. Disc golf is still gaining exposure and popularity even if it’s not still riding the covid wave. That type of growth doesn’t sustain. When it levels out, a lot of little guys won’t make it. Just how it works
