Players complain but somebody still destroys the course. Isn’t that what the viewers want to see? Yes I want to see carnage and prevalence.
Am I the only one who greets heinhold’s 22 spotters with a shrug? Ooooh! 22 spotters! And…? Do you want a pat on the head for running a professional event at a professional standard? Enough with the “look how far we’ve come” and “back when I played…” bs. If you want to be taken seriously as a professional sport, provide professional conditions where people can do their jobs. If the rules have a time limit for looking for lost discs, if the concern is backed up cards because of the rough, if the concern is spotting a lie on a blind OB, then we shouldn’t be expected to applaud over some arbitrary number of spotters and feign being impressed. For the number of spotters needed, you need what you need. If that means 6 on one hole, then put 6 on one hole so the event runs smoothly.
Love this content! Thank you fellas! One thing I don’t like is player’s constantly complaining about courses. It’s a regular theme and I understand why but sometimes it just seems a bit much. It’s going to take a long time and regular adjustments and feedback to get the sport in to a category that makes it profitable for coverage and amenities. We have come a long way since the 90’s and it’s not easy. I feel like the public manner that critiques are voiced isn’t super helpful. Just my take.

The hilarious part is not a single person mentioned they cut some fairways wider and made it pretty friendly. I play solo rounds all the time and I've only lost one disc this year. The course is playing really nice this year
I don’t lose disc’s period. I played toboggan solo this year and lost two discs and quit on hole 9. It’s next level

Edit: It's worth noting, that hole design is the art of multi-disciplinary compromise, maximized.
And, good course design is obvious when you experience it.
Bad design is similarly obvious, and is why badly designed courses don't get a lot of play; No re-playability factor.
This is why everyone thinks they're a great course designer.
This is what I would say your channel does better than everyone else. The inside scoop from the players about how the sport can improve. Top Notch!

I don’t hate the OB but I do hate 4 rounds on the same course. At least in ball golf they can move the tees and also change the hole location every day so the course can be set up differently. But 4 days of frisbees playing the exact same shots every day just doesn’t sound interesting
who cares about the rough...you're professionals....keep it in the fairway....
Just like what Simon did to 16 last year, McBeth did to much of the course when he shot his -18.
The changes were made to make par meaningful on some holes and in some cases were overdone.

you have to be accurate AND throw far to score well...that leaves out most of the field. pros crying about rough is funny!! such a bummer guys that throw 700' can't win golf tournaments very often because they can't stay on the fairway
Maybe the course would be better and there'd be less complaining if Heinold spent more time talking to top 30 players and less time spiking his hair.

Natural OB is FAR superior to man made OB. The issue is that the OB is in the circle. That shouldn't happen imo. You should get a clear 10m all around at the very least

As a person who lives in an area with lots of natural ob and little real ob I love it and hate you lose a ton of disc but it's fun to try to scramble

I generally like your short videos, but I much prefer this type where you properly back up your claims with the source, over the ones where you claim you heard someone say something at some point. Also while we're at it: can we ever get the actual shot you're talking about on screen while you're talking about it on the tournament recaps. Just seems lazy to have a random montage and you're talking about this incredible save or whatever, and there's a completely different guy tapping out a 15 footer on screen...

Everyone calling the golfer whiners is the problem. Disc golf is held to such a low standard as a professional sport. You point blank dont see this kind of crap in ball golf. They pay attention to the details because the details MATTER.
