I grew up watching the 1992 Disney musical, Newsies. I got my first one at a thrift store and another at a military surplus store. I've seen lots in thrift stores, many vintage and ones from Ireland (sometimes marked w/ Blarney inside). My current wool cap I found about 6 years ago while bicycling around, it was in the street, it's a REI cap. Have worn it in all weather, always hand wash it and have got a lot of compliments on it. I find that 2 or 3 caps max is all one person really needs.

We called them driving caps. My daddy said that was the style in Europe for the car collectors like him.
They have all sorts of names. They do look great inside a foreign sports car!
