*Correction, the CX-70 trunk space is much larger than 15.9 cubic-feet - that was an error (that's the CX-90's dimensions with the seat raised).
They're all look alike. This is just the CX90 without the third row seats. It's just how they cut cost in the design and manufacturing.
@@JoeE. Well, it gives the option to the buyer to get what size and combination they want. And if the design is good, it's okay for them to keep it as much as they can get away with.
Mike you need to ad a dark red blazer to your outfit that match’s the red interior it would look dope.😂
Ian I think you might have confused the trunk space; the CX-90 has 15.9Cu-ft behind all 3 rows, 40.1 behind the 2nd row…. The Cx-70 is pretty similar in size to the Cx-90 and it only has two rows, so if you can fit two carry-ons behind each other it’s probably closer to 40.1Cu-ft.😊
The CX 70 looks like a smaller version of a CX 90 like CX 7 was a smaller version looks of a CX 9 when they first came out in the late 2000s. However, I think the CX 70 could’ve did a different design on the back side.
this cx70 is a miss. Why release a new name model almost identical to the CX-90 doesn't make much sense to me
Man, the front is just beautifully made, 10/10 front design, beautiful led lights, the grill fits perfect, hood design is just stunning
True. Its beautiful. However I see cup holders in the cargo area and if it will be same size as CX 90 then not worth buying it since it will be too big as a 5 seater. Parking and turning will not be fun if you live in the city.
@@sharifulalam7062 It is weird that they took the 90 and just removed the 3rd row and renamed it 70. Seems like they should just give the option to have no 3rd row for the CX-90...
It's one of the best hood/front ends out there. I just wish they'd do something with the rest of the car. The "sporty hatchback" look isn't doing it for me. I'd prefer a more squared off rear end or something.
That black w/ red is gorgeous. Impressive rig.
Mazda been killin it lately, It just gets better every year!
This is the direction they were heading in the early '90s before the Japanese economy took a massive hit, they are just now recovering, and doing an awesome job!
Lately? Mazda is the exotic of all Japanese since the beginning
Ex employees from german brands
It’s been killing it alright just ask all the CX-90 owners lining up for lemon lawsuit. The car is utter garbage because of its untested hybrid powertrain..
@@PaulBateman69the first one who knows it to. Mazda and BMW did a trade that’s why they got some same futures
These days being loyal to a car brand is hard.
The world is too big to be loyal to any one thing.
Why do you have to loyal to one brand? In each segment one brand will always be the best (for you) and not always is it the same one.
@@Hi-how-are-you-today. I meant. You grew up loving this one car brand and you will be like, I'm going to buy this car someday. And now even KIA is becoming a threat to your dream car😅. Theses days every car company are making good cars
True. Toyota could make an egg and people would still buy it!
@@verynick it's hard to find a good egg nowadays so yes.
Man that looks good in black. I would definitely get this in that color combo.
Damn, gotta admit: this generation of Mazda looks really really nice !!!
Mazda said no mercy. Damn this is nice! Looks like an executive Dad mobile and exactly what I’ve been looking for.
My thoughts exactly.. I'll take this same color combo hight output engine over 97% of other car brands. The design is flawless smh Mazda kicked the ball into space with this one... it's like playing kickball with you're childhood & neighborhood friends & someone kicked the living shit out the ball to the next block & it went through that mean guys car window that everyone hates 🤣🤣🤣🤣💪🏽🤣🤣 That's the best way to describe it lol
this car is beautiful! Mazda is setting a trend for other car makers to look and feel premium. i have to point out that the reviewer is amazing. he's so animated, engaging, and his perspective really drives key differences compared to other cars.
They hit it out of the park with this thing. Great job, Mazda!
Black with black wheels! Gorgeous!
That all black one is sick!! Good job on the videos!
Agreed! Thanks Frank!
Until you have to clean it RIP
hahah. yes.@@Striker50_
I have watched a few other car enthusiasts reviews on this vehicle and I must say, yours is the BEST. You answered the questions i was looking for. THANK YOU.
Means a lot thank you!
I own CX-5 2017, to be honest, the best feature is of disabling the touch screen while you driving. Benefits are: Keeps your attention on the road, keeps your screen clean, you actually don't need to touch on the screen as long as you use the rotational selector and is pretty easy to use. Love my CX-5, and this is also awesome.
thanks for your comment, its very encouraging. got a 2023 cx5 last fall and am planning to keep it a long time. nicest vehicle ive ever had by far.
I thought I was looking at the Jaguar F pace. So beautiful ❤️
Fantastic. Really like the CX-90 but I have zero need for a 3rd row. This solves that while keeping almost everything else I want. Worth waiting for ...
you could have always just..folded down the seats?
@@ajdavies24 Sure but why pay for seats etc I'll never use that consume space for no value? I just want a well-equipped 5 seater with plenty of carry capacity that is near-as-can-be a full size SUV but isn't an $70-80k luxury brand (X5, Defender 110, GLE etc come to mind). The new Land Cruiser might also fit the bill too.
@robyates136 the 70 won't be that much cheaper. I'd guess max 1k less. There may even be an argument to make it MORE expensive given depending on its trim and spec since it will be marketed as a sport premium trim.
@@th003g I suspect that aswell. No 2WD option suggests they will keep it at the upper end of the price bracket. And I think that's ok - would work for me and avoids it being seen as a smaller family wagon in lower trims.
Agreed.
Fit swaggin hard👏🏽
Love your reviews!
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!! I no longer need to go to the car dealer for this info only if I want a test drive! this is amazing content!!!! KEEP IT UP!
Appreciate it thank you!
Great review and better personality, you make watching a SUV review an enjoyable thing 🫂
Great video Mike and team !
I remember as a kid my dad had a Mazda B2000. Mazda has come a long way from then.. Beautiful vehicle there
Love your energy, intro …talk while moving.. subscribed without watching the whole review.🇿🇦
Top quality review as always. 🤟About the CX-70, looking so impressive. Making me think to upgrade from CX-5 2022 model I got 🤔
Excellent video as always 👍🏼 🎉
Yup, your information on the CX-70 Mazda is fantastic, I own a 2019 CX-3 it's awesome, before that a 2000 Protege
went the distance with 333,000 Km 1.6L, standard transmission, window cranks. Next step is this CX-70 it's all the way baby for Mazda.
Thats a good thing. I have both Mazda and BMW..they compliment each other well.
I really like these SUVs. Very Jaguar and BMW reminiscent. I'm a Bimmer Boy with an M550 and X5MC, but I drove one of these for fun and enjoyed it. My only qualm is these seem a little more hollow than a BMW (likely less sound insulation). The profile is so aesthetically pleasing. I like it!
Yeah but it's 10-15k less money vs a BMW X5 with similar hp and options. For less than 1.5k dollars you can go to a shop that adds soundproofing. I've even seen BMW owners adding sound insulation.
@silimarina. I'm good on sound insulation in both of my vehicles which is why I opined that the Mazda is hollow. I don't know what other BMW owners do on a regular day but I'm not going to any shop to spend money on sound insulation.
This was one of the best ways to Introduce a new vehicle... This guy has character.
Yeah, he's sharp! 👍
Sheeeeeeesh, This video is cleaan! Good job, Ian!
Thank you!!!
I drive a CX-50 right now and going to have to trade it in for this
Mazda knocked it out the Stadium, Again!!! I have to say this is the best Car Channel out besides Throttle House. This vehicle is amazing especially in that Black color with red interior.
that black combo looks amazing
We got a 2022 cx5 as a family car….im a car guy and its honestly
Impressed me at how good it is.
We agreed to keep it until 2030 and then upgrade. This thing is tempting though.
Love the swag, was looking at it before you can even mention it.
Only if you can get the full black with the white quilted interior like on the cx-90, that'd be awesome!
Your the best man & so chilled
Happy I got see the first review here
Why?
1:30 The swag is good Bruh. Always top shelf content. Keep it up
just purchased last year my 2023 Mazda 3 Hatchback, and this will be my next goal tbh 💯💯💯 Mazda is pushing for that premium quality and quiet luxury without breaking our banks 💯💯💯💯
can’t wait for the machine grey version of this 💯💯💯
@@axellejayyare6396 Without breaking the bank? The base model of this vehicle will START at 40k... If you want any of the great features this will be a 50k vehicle at the very least. ITS A MAZDA! Lmao. Youre talking about going from a 30k lil hatchback to 50k plus luxury SUV. That aint cheap bud.
Fit on point 🤙🏾
Swag was definitely turned up for this video! Styling seems very bold and aesthetically pleasing dressed in black, and the power train sounds like it would be decent given the sheer size of the vehicle.
In Europe we got the CX 60 with the Inline 6 3.3l Diesel Engine, its a great car. Perfect to tow big trailers
Love the golf instructor look for this showroom!! 😂😂😂
swag 's on point - :) CX70 in black looks so beast
This thing looks so good 🔥
This was a 'no drive' showroom review that was actually quite enjoyable.
Outfit was on point for sure.
I have been a BMW lover and driver all my life. But this mazda is attracting my attention.
X5 rear lights, rounded off a bit to give it more Jag like lines. Unfortunately 55K for a Mazda is of a little to no value. They priced it high.
I saw this car today in white and omg that stance is beautiful I currently own a Mazda 3 Turbo premium plus sedan black on black but this looks so beautiful I don’t like big suvs but my gaaaawwwddd ❤
The black is amazing.
This looks so much better than european Cx-60, different front bumper makes this front gorgeous.
Amazing!!!!
Awesome, love your bgm😊
Is there more room in the 2nd row in this vs the 90?
Awesome presentation, rather best🎉
That can easily accomadate 4- 15" subwoofers. Can't wait to hear how and were the speakers are placed.
top trim PHEV CX-90 in canada was a let down because it didnt have a touch screen at all (even w carplay- because it had the smaller screen) and it didnt have stop and go cruise control w lane keep assist; though these were offered on the gas version top trim. Not sure if the trend continues to the CX-70?
Great fit! 👍🏾Did Mazda tell you the all electric range for the PHEV?
They did not, but we can assume it's probably the same as the CX-90 (26 miles/42 kms). since they are essentially the same size and same powertrain.
If I had to change one thing about the car is that I'd give it visible tail exhaust but other that that this car seems to be a masterpiece! I one saw the CX 90 inline 6 dragg race the BMW 3.0 B58. The BMW won but the madza was on its shoulder line. That car really punches above its weight class. This is one hell of an outstanding car and I'm not saying that just to make BMW fan boys upset. PS!! YOUR SWAG IS PREMIUM
They should've made it a coupe to justify the new name. Also, it needs ambient lighting, a fully digital gauge cluster, and the seat controls shouldve been finished in a more premium material which is all a knit pick. Honestly, this should just be the cx90 sport fr
Now, that's an interior!
Wow ! One good looking SUV.
Thx!
Luv it. Can’t wait to get mines.🎉🎉❤
Looks like a suped up version of my CX-50. I'm in love.
Na they’re on different platform
What???? You must be joking. It's not even remotely close to the CX-50!
The CX-70 is *EXACTLY* the same vehicle as the CX-90. They simply removed the back seat and changed a few exterior trims. Hell, they didn't even bother removing the 3'rd row cup holders!
I recently bought a new CX-5 Grand Touring. Before ordering it, I seriously considered waiting for the CX-70 to be released. Like "everyone else in North America", I was led to believe that the CX-70 would be very similar to the European "CX-60", and so somewhere in between the CX-50 and the CX-90. I'm so glad that I didn't wait for it. What a waste of time that would've been. Nobody saw this coming! The CX-70 is a total surprise and a massive disappointment!
@@leoclement3801no, it’s not a total surprise and it’s only a disappointment to you. 1 of the guys from Mazda said it was going to be the same size as the cx90 about a month ago.
Well maybe you got the correct info a month ago, but for the last 2 years there's been a bunch of videos posted by potential customers like you and I ---> to certified Mazda dealers who "speculated" what the North American cx-70 would look like. I was very hesitant about buying my new cx-5 a few months ago because the "buzz-word" was that it would be very similar to the European cx-60. Now "THAT" would've been a game changer for Mazda - a 2-row SUV built somewhere in between the cx-50 and the cx-90 in size.
In any event Mazda was VERY tight-lipped about it, so no one knew for certain up until a couple of weeks ago.
Based on the vast majority of comments recently posted on several vids since the big "reveal", the common theme is crystal clear! --- NO ONE expected it to be a cx-90 without a rear seat! Nobody!!! @@heNzVf20c
looks solid!
すごい!何気にウインカーが消えた時に調色で白色に光ってる!これかっこいいなぁ、CX80も同じだといいな✨
Yeah maybe.
Taking so long to pull out the 3rd row from the 90 and give it different bumpers feels silly, but I still think it's a great choice. Mazda's products are superb, their customer service as a company leaves some to be desired though.
The infotainment display and odometer display still needs to be updated, but everything else about this case is fantastic.
The fact that they call this model by a different name is ridiculous. It's way too damn big.
I was initially interested, but seeing how huge it is and that it's just a 2 row CX90.
Perhaps CX-80 would have been the proper name.
@@ACCELER8TVmore like CX90 Sport or Carbon PHEV.
Different strokes for different folks. I wouldn't have a 90, but this I am interested in.
You’re definitely a small guy. The size is perfect
@leanmachine3251 it's 200+ inches long with comparable space to crossovers that are a foot shorter. Why buy something that is a foot longer that has less space? Unless it HAS to be a Mazda.
Was kinda hoping it be a little smaller for more of a sporty look and feel.
With a inline 6? @@oneskillpoint4669
Not with a inline 6. I hoping for a smaller size as well. Was looking at the RDX a spec.
@@oneskillpoint4669 don't see it with a inline 6 🤷
Same here! I wanted a smaller sport version with the inline 6!
Same here! I wanted a smaller sport version with the inline 6!
Just like my CX-60 but a bit longer... nice! That black color with red leather ... Love it!
Just not available in Europe on the CX-60...
i love the review.
Should have a digital cluster. Does it come w heated cooled seats steering wheel.
1 word. amazing car!!! thanks mazda!
I was looking forward to this release for about 3 years. Reading sbout the plans for it over time and preparing myself for the release..... bummer.. it's as big as the cx 90. Even tho8gh I admit the cx90 was the best driving mazda. Guess i'll have yo test drive to confirm if i should be bummed out longer or not
Good salesman!!! I like how aggressively Mazda makes these beautiful changes but it seems like the be holding back by keeping things affordable. I feel like Mazda has so much potential, my wife had the Mazda 3 but it served us good for only two years my kids got too big but it was nice when we had it. One day I may buy another.
Wow that Black on Red reminded be of my Black Lexsus IS250 with Red interior - very nice designed car
So how is 340hp top engine competition for BMW when compared to the base model X5 40 has 375hp and the top tier has over 600hp?
❤the black it's gorgeous
As a bmw fan and a mazda owner. Im so conflicted- legacy love(bmw) vs current love(mazda). Well done Mazda
what trim level is in the video?
That's a great looking SUV. I would definitely be interested in that blacked out version. Only thing I am curious about is how reliable these Inline-6 engines are. Coming from a BMW I would only consider this over an X3 if the maintenance was cheaper and it was more reliable.
I’m so leasing one of these when they release, please make one in soul Cyrstal red like my CX-50
@14:29 you said "Jaguar" we get it though! It does have that feel.
What its the difference between cx60 and cx70 or it’s the same suv?
The the console touch with android auto also?
You know how to play with lighting to show off that black. Man its looks good
The swag is TIGHT bruh. Like the loofers.
The fit works with the overall scene 👏🏾👏🏾 great suv but I always hated their steering wheel
The black one looks killer!!
They really should put that full digital dash board in the gas version that would be dope
I like it, it looks stunning.
I dumped bmw for a CX-5 a few years ago and couldn't be happier!
The infotainment system is a bit too small for such a large vehicles, the only drawback for what appears to be a premium ride!
12.3 inch for mid & upper models..
Thats not small
Mind blowing
I bought a used 2021 a spec RDX in January I wish I would’ve waited a bit to get this beauty but I guess I’ll wait a year or two to get this one lol
Never would have thought they'd be in the same sentence.
Before buying, read Mazda forums about the CX-60, which is technically identical with CX-70 (engine, gears, transmission, electronics, interior...). The car is badly underengineerd / undertested. Having it every month in repairs due to severe issues is no exception.
Let haters hate, you do great reviews 🤍 Mazda brings something different than other brands including BMW. Maintenance, parts and labor cost more on beemers for a few different reasons. Mazda offers luxury, economy and reliability without all the BS
