    Hi Math! I have a question for you. How do you get back in form and to playing your best? I feel like I'm not on the level I was the last sesone and even my coach told me that. I think its not my physical ability that is problem but my mentality.

    • @danielalexanderyt3232
      @danielalexanderyt3232 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I can see what you mean. In the fall last year, I was incredibly inconsistent and lacking a lot while playing for both my hs team and club team. I had trained a lot in the summer and to be in such a low point was devastating for me. However, immediately after the season ended, I began training a lot focused on ball stuff and as I got better with the ball than I was before, my mentality changed and I had a lot more confidence. My advice would be to simply master the ball as well as obviously working on other aspects of the game, but with being comfortable with the ball at your feet, you're a lot less likely to be afraid or mess up.

    • @CoachOlali

      There are a number of reasons. Some of it is finding the right coach at the right time who wants you. Sometimes a player isn't good enough. There are so many reasons. So many. There are many pro players who do nothing more than train only when they have to and some players who are not pro who play every time they can but there can be so many reasons

      @@hamid1978 I have heard of players who were ahead of other players in the MLS draft after training with the team and who got injured too early at the wrong time and the player that was behind them got chosen and the injured player got dropped. I have heard of times when an agent came to watch a player for one game but that player got injured before the game and the player who is normally on the bench played the game and got chosen instead. I have heard of players with certain agents who get chosen before other players who are better because the agent has a good relationship with the team. There are also situations like Michael Jordan and Tom brady. Michael Jordan was chosen after Sam Bowie because teams believed that in those days only a 7ft player could change the organization of a team to start winning championships. Chicago Bulls only chose Michael Jordan because Hakeem Olajuwon was already chosen as the 1st pick. Tom Brady was chosen as the 199th pick because teams thought that the quarterback needed to be the most athletic to be a top team. Now everyone sees that he is the best quarterback ever. But luckily there are so many draft picks. If he was going to a tryout like they do in soccer, he would probably get cut so may times before being chosen. If he was lucky.

    I always suspected this. Good to see at the end where this geezer says that if you're not a pro you should be doing far more. I'm always baffled when you see Jurgen Klopp (Today) banging on about how knackered they are. What the play a game where they're active for 90 mins most of the time and the work-load is shared between 11 or more of them dependent on the substitution. Then if you watch, a lot of the time in the 90 mins they're not actually running, they're walking? So, then I thought, OK so being that young and fit, the games not going to get you knackered, it's got to be the training.... Seemingly not? Maybe they need to take up Tennis or Surfing to get some perspective or test cricket?

      Let go of the frustration and negative feelings because they will only keep you from performing well. Just be grateful and happy that you can play again. Think about it. You were hurt for five months and you can finally play again but you're...unhappy and frustrated? You need to lower your expectations as you were out for a long time, just be happy and grateful to play. Positive feelings and energy only, only then you can get back to playing well and being satsified with your performances.
