Why do mosques in China have Chinese architectural styles?
Because they started in the Tang Dynasty, just like Buddhist temples, they also have Chinese styles.
In the Northern and Southern Dynasties and the Tang Dynasty, all religions that entered China were required to build in Chinese styles. These Chinese-style mosques and Buddhist temples have existed for more than a thousand years.

My American professor visited Xi'an many years ago, and when I visited him several years later in the States, he said he had the best dumpling in Xi'an, and that his mouth was literally watering when talking about it. 😀

我是西安人，欢迎你来西安旅行，并祝你玩的愉快！其实花椒不一定非得是“四川花椒”，中国很多地方都种植花椒。陕西有很多花椒品种，非常好的品质，西安的花椒大部分来自于韩城和渭南等地。
回民街的食物和汉族的食物并没有什么区别，回民街有的，基本上西安每个地方都有。
实际上，回民街的穆斯林美食都来自于汉族，比如：凉皮（你说的冷面条）都是来自于陕西汉族传统美食，并不是来自于中东。中国西北食物和中东本来就很相似，因为一千年前的“丝绸之路”，将中国和中东、中亚紧密的联系在一起，互相影响。另外北方人以面食为主，比如很多饼（类似于馕Nang)并不是来自于中东，这是中国北方人的传统中国北方人也很早就种植了小麦。由于中国移民大多数来自于广东和福建，西方人认识到的中国都是吃米饭的，但事实上并不是如此。中国食物和文化有太多的多样性。南北方差异非常大，如果不是普通话，互相听不懂😅，北方的老一辈人，比如我的太爷爷一辈子没吃过米饭，也没见过大米，只有小米，在她生活的那个年代，她很早就去世了…
由于国外没有花椒，所以所有的花椒都翻译成“四川胡椒”，是为了和胡椒进行区分
实际上张骞凿穿西域是2000年前
因为丝绸之路把中国文化美食影响带到西方和中东东南亚等各个地区
步行街还有车进去，当地管理不行啊，地上垃圾很多，西安环卫管理真差啊，一个是打扫更主要是设置垃圾桶教导商户提醒游客不要乱扔垃圾，国内大多数美食街步行街都这样，垃圾堆里吃东西确实影响食欲
所有的花椒在英语里都叫 sichuan peppercorn，在美国产的也这么叫

Xi'an is a new city with a history of only more than 3,100 years.
as a Xianer in UK, my mouth is watering now😂 Xian is the ancient capital of 13 dynasties, we get super delicious food and amazing places to visit,❤

Damn, you did your homework so well! As a local who grew up in this province now live in Australia, I can tell all the food you picked are very unique to Xi'an and authentic. I miss the cold noodle (LiangPi) so badly. I eat this as my daily breakfast when I was there. That will be the top 1 food must eat next time when I back to China. That "jelly" like stuff in your first breakfast is most probably tapioca or maize powdered starch which is commonly used to thicken soups and some other dishes.

Chinese do use sesame paste in their cuisine. In Chengdu and Chongqing, sesame paste is commonly used in noodles and also in dipping sauce.
