And as a small detail, Korotos, the narration actually stops because of Armin being literally cooked to a crisp by Bertholdt. Which is an awesome detail by Isayama to tell you he is the narrator, ever since S1 and the narration of "To You, in 2000 Years: The Fall of Shiganshina, Part 1", Armin had literally remained the narrator throughout the story, which, is an awesome detail Isayama added for a character.
I felt the reason Marlo is wondering why he is “all the way out here” was because he finally realised he should have stayed an MP instead of dying meaninglessly thinking he could do something grand.
"Hey korotos ,I’ve been following your Attack on Titan over-analysis videos, and I’m truly impressed by the level of detail and thought you put into them. My headcanon for why Eren was surprised when he fell, is that he did legit slip. So the plan had to go off like 30 seconds sooner than he expected. My evidence. None. I just find it kinda funny of them needing to spring the plan after a minor mess up.
It really is a contrast between Erwin and Armin that should drive home who deserved to survive and why. One was fighting for everyone who had died, to give meaning and purpose to all those sacrifices. The other was fighting for everyone who was still alive, hoping for the day when no more sacrifices would be needed.
Something I noticed from the moment I began watching this series, is that it’s clear you edit your own videos. Them come across as “complete” if that makes sense, like you got the episode to look and sound the way you wanted it too. I can almost feel the time and effort you put into these videos, and your passion for the series. It’s like art in a sense. Well done, and you made me rewatch AoT in 4 days 😭
To me, the reused animation is just a show that his form is so consistent that we wouldn't notice anyway. Zeke has to tell us when he's doing something different.
I always felt like reineirs brief amnesia around 24:35 actually makes perfect sense. The way I look at it, his brain in his human form is being reconstructed after having his head blown off so it makes sense to me he wouldn't be able to think clearly. Since at that point he's back to being a barely reconstructed human controlling his titan.
I also love the shot of him, just looking at the distance. Maybe looking at the monke/enemy. Just shows me what kind of truly amazing commander he is 😢
When marlow said "What am I doing all the way out here", the japanese is "だからだ、なんで俺今ごろ". That is pretty hard to translate so I'll try my best. Da kara obviously means because. Ore ima goro means I right around this time. Nande means why obviously. So "Therefore, why around this time am I..." The The thing that he was going questioning about doesn't really exist so its up to us to decide. The all the way out here I feel like was an attempt to try and localise it better to english. I hope this gives a better understanding of what marlow said
So regarding "the ground" comment @ 16:42, or more specifically "they also forgot trees..." Remember, Zeke purposefully positioned himself somewhere the scouts wouldn't have any large trees or buildings to use their ODM gear. And consequently, that lack of trees was a primary factor in Erwin making the decision to lead the recruits on that last charge. Ultimately, they needed a realistic way to distract Zeke while Levi used his own Titans to close the distance.
Oh, I think you misunderstood me, I didn't mean the trees around Zeke (as you say, there were no trees around Zeke), I meant the trees by the wall itself. Right alongside the buildings, there's a whole bunch of trees that just aren't there in the backgrounds of the Zeke scene 😄 The flare smoke obstructs our view most of the time (because we're not mean to look there lmao), but if you really look closely, the background is just the plain wall and that's it.

I always appreciated Zeke's philosophy being explored because it's what I consider to be the most damaging and least helpful end result of where my own personal journey could've ended up, and find it just fascinating exploring a character who gave in to that feeling of hopelessness and despair that comes from living. In my heart I truly believe even if most of life is suffering, the quality of that positivity, connections and joy outweighs the suffering and makes it worth pushing forward

I think zeke's funny baseball mode is a bit more than just.. Funny mode.. It's in fact his coping mechanism. Like ksaver said, he's a decent person, he doesn't care for war game. The only reason he plays his role is so he can save everyone (and yes I'm a zeke stan). Zeke doesn't want to do it, he has to. He hates seeing others die, even if it's for the greater good. He just had to make himself get more fun out of it to be able to do it. He's using his favorite sport/thing in his life to cope with the fact he's doing something he doesn't want to. Besides that he's constantly reminding himself he's doing it for the sake of everyone. As he later says in s4e1 he truly thinks war is a terrible thing

The sound i had when i saw my favorite overanalyze channel post the episode I've been waiting for years. Next episode I'm looking forward is Eren telling Reiner he's just like him in Marley before killing everyone. I'll still watch every episode inbetween of course
About the Colossal titan, random thought, what if it takes effort to vaporize the bones, like he had basically just transformed when he did that. But when Eran attacked him, he had already used up a lot of steam. (Pun intended)
Really enjoy the new format here, cutting with your reaction really adds to the humor/dread. My boy Armin is so underrated. He's really is the definition of selfless despite it all. That is a feat not anyone can do because it is much harder to protect than attack. He fights for the future and that's why he's the hope of this entire show.
hey, i usually don't have anything to say, but i've been following this series for a while and i'm thankful that you took a bit of time to show some understanding for bertholdt. he's an easy character to dismiss because he's an antagonist who's character development is so paltry in amount that the profoundness of it gets overlooked. i really believe that he's a diamond in the rough; and thanks to you, maybe others will see it, too.
When Bertholdt was cooking Armin alive and looked at Eren's titan, I think his titan looks just a bit shinier than normal skin would look like. I'm not sure if it's the lighting, fire, or the screen I watched it on but it sure looked like that was Eren's titan hardening
Thank you for your insane hard work on these!! I watched/listened to them and finally I'm up to date 😅 One thing I wish you noticed/ mentioned is Marlo thinking Hitch is still sleeping (because he doesn't know she was into him and he just realized that he liked liked her)but in reality, Hitch couldn't sleep because she was worrying about Marlo. 💔💔💔
Next episode is my favorite actually. Ohh that tough decision making you had to do even as a viewer, really got me anxious. Eagerly waiting for your next drop Korotos.
On the topic of Armin not being supposed to survive all those injuries, while yes they definitely are fatal humans are also weirdly resilient creatures, so I can definitely see him surviving long enough until he gets his shot.
Dude that Dany forgot about the Iron Fleet really pissed me off with D&D, when she was talking about sinking his fleet an EP earlier. I love the Dragon Queen Daenerys Targaryen!
for reference of Levi's speed, those 9 cuts in one frame equate to roughly 216 cuts/slashes per second. Given how well trained he is too, that means that Levi could probably cut through and break every single bone in the human body with individual cuts in less than a second.
Quick Note, fantastic analysis - been hooked on this series since day 1. Armin never made it beyond the walls. Non of Erens generation of scouts did, until after this fight
I watched this yesterday with my friend. I've watched erwin charge 5 times already but it feels more heartbreaking every itteration and yesterday I cried
I kinda get reiner forgetting about the thunderspears. If your head got practically blown off you'd probably have a rough time recalling what just happened too
The idea of aparadies island for Eldians is great. If they didnt remove the memorys so they wont go outside the walls to fight the titans they would have been fine ?
Nah. Cause marleyans would have eventually attacked, just like they did. The truth is the king didn't care if all of his people where killed in ignorance
@@ezflow5819 that was "coincidental". My point is even if grisha had died before reaching paradis, marley still wanted to attack paradis to get the founding's powers
I thought that Reiner was actually the one who said “keep moving forward” and that this was revealed in a flashback in season four to when they were all training together in season one.
10:00 kowalski here, Floch used a move called.. Thinking, blocking and evading. As you can see in the frames of Marlow getting hit in the head, you can see floch "falling"/ducking to the side, turning the horse so it's head would directly be in front of his. So besides lowering himself, he makes himself smaller and even puts up a barrier that may reduce the impact enough. Yes floch is the only one that even tried to survive here.
@@amongusus47825 well yes, he said so himself basically in the previous episode.. But he's also the only one that used their brain and tried to survive
I was confused in my 3rd or 4th on how did Zeke know about the Reiss family being a family of royal blood. Reiner and Burrito probably didn't even know about the Reiss family before their betrayal, Annie probably did but I'm sure she never knew about them having royal blood. So how did Zeke know? At 2.25 you said you'd get to it in season 4 so I'll wait if i have to, but if possible, would you kindly explain?
If I were to take a guess, it's intel from Ymir. That's the first person Historia revealed herself to, as well as the one who secretly knew about her background all along. Given everything she's discussed and asked the warriors, they should be aware of what the hidden heritage means.
So, about the bone-fast-desapearing issue, we know that shifters can transform based on their need. We have seen Eren growing a powerful arm supported only on bones to stop the canon bullet and Rainer building an unarmoured titan to fast save Galiard. We can assume that based on need, Bertolt chose to build a body that would have been well-bone-supported around the leg that he used to kick the gates but would only stand on really weak and empty bone ( or even only muscle) from his leg on. After all, he knew he would need his titan for barely 5 seconds, different from return to shiganshina, where he knew he would need to stand a flight for a long time.
The fall of Zeke mirrors the fall of Marley. Just when they thought they could end the war, their fallacy was opened to them in the harshest way possible
My head-canon of the colossal steam is that he hast to keep the bones to be able to keep using the titan and walking but he could choose to burn them and that’s how he disappeared in season one.
Marlo was thinking Hitch was asleep, but she was at her window thinking about him. The love story that never had a chance to start.

Tho Sasha is a close second. RIP
Honey, wake up...
(Pun intended)
i’ve been binging these non stop for weeks and now i’m all caught up i don’t know what to do with my life… I can’t wait for the next one!!
Hey man seeing this video dropped today made my afternoon. Love your work bro 💪🏽.
Here lies Erwin Smith: He tried so hard, and got so far.....
In the end the basement is all that matter~
@@dzikripratama3776 😎
He had to fall,
and lose it all.
But in the end
The basement really mattereddddd.
Levi scene might be the best scene in all of anime, just re-watched for like the 100th time and still hits the same
24:04 it's my wallpaper since 2019 I LOVE IT!
i remember watching the first episode of this series around when the anime ended and couldn't wait for you to get to this episode.
hey, i usually don't have anything to say, but i've been following this series for a while and i'm thankful that you took a bit of time to show some understanding for bertholdt. he's an easy character to dismiss because he's an antagonist who's character development is so paltry in amount that the profoundness of it gets overlooked. i really believe that he's a diamond in the rough; and thanks to you, maybe others will see it, too.
Thank you for the video!
I finished watching the entire retrospective this morning, I go to sleep and there’s a new video; hell yeah.
Thank you for your work man.
Just finished AoT a couple weeks ago, and I’m just excited even more for these episodes
When Bertholdt was cooking Armin alive and looked at Eren's titan, I think his titan looks just a bit shinier than normal skin would look like. I'm not sure if it's the lighting, fire, or the screen I watched it on but it sure looked like that was Eren's titan hardening
I remember seeing Josh Grelle at Florida Supercon right after the dub of this ep aired. He got a standing ovation at his panel.
Last few weeks I found this series and it’s been great to watch this
Thank you for your insane hard work on these!! I watched/listened to them and finally I'm up to date 😅
One thing I wish you noticed/ mentioned is Marlo thinking Hitch is still sleeping (because he doesn't know she was into him and he just realized that he liked liked her)but in reality, Hitch couldn't sleep because she was worrying about Marlo. 💔💔💔
Next episode is my favorite actually. Ohh that tough decision making you had to do even as a viewer, really got me anxious. Eagerly waiting for your next drop Korotos.
Jesus man, your million names for berthold just has me every time with each new one
Paradeisos - a royal, enclosed park... a walled garden.
Paradise being pronounced 'Parody' really feels like it should have stood out to me more
I watched this yesterday with my friend. I've watched erwin charge 5 times already but it feels more heartbreaking every itteration and yesterday I cried
I kinda get reiner forgetting about the thunderspears. If your head got practically blown off you'd probably have a rough time recalling what just happened too
Oh boy my favorite character arc. Levi giving Zeke PTSD.
@@AIMalek but only after grisha went for his mission
@@ezflow5819 that was "coincidental". My point is even if grisha had died before reaching paradis, marley still wanted to attack paradis to get the founding's powers
@@ezflow5819 Ethnostates are always a bad idea…
I thought that Reiner was actually the one who said “keep moving forward” and that this was revealed in a flashback in season four to when they were all training together in season one.
We'll get to that 👀
@@Koroto 😖🤧🤐
KEEP IT UP KORO!!!!
Will do! 🙇♂️
@@Korotowhere’s the next part of the Moria video you posted.🙏
I love this series so much man you are the best
10:00 kowalski here,
Floch used a move called..
Floch is coward confirmed
@@amongusus47825 well yes, he said so himself basically in the previous episode.. But he's also the only one that used their brain and tried to survive
this thumbnail is goated i already know the videos gonna be great
I just watched your last episode during My workout last night, knowing that another video was coming soon. This is a blessing🥹
Last episode and Erwin's charge is very fitting for a workout! 😄
Hope you enjoy!
this episode is absolutely goated levi vs zeke is generational but armin's death made me cry so much
perfect game, hero, and midnight sun are the best trio of episodes in fiction.
where the climax meets the resolution
It was already a good day, but now I get to hear korotos while at work. Peak Shift!
Hange rose from the ashes, but she also went out in a blaze of glory. Essentially living on borrowed time due to Moblit pushing her down the well.
Zeke might have learned this from Dina, when she and Grisha were teaching him eldian history. Dina was a royal after all and she knew a lot
Levi is the goat. I stopped worrying about the possibility of his death from this episode on up until the explosion
The fall of Zeke mirrors the fall of Marley. Just when they thought they could end the war, their fallacy was opened to them in the harshest way possible
Reiners balls mentioned 🎉
I like to think of Levi and Zeke as a call to David vs. Goliath except with ODM gear instead of a slingshot lol
My head-canon of the colossal steam is that he hast to keep the bones to be able to keep using the titan and walking but he could choose to burn them and that’s how he disappeared in season one.
Hitch so cute, so glad she survived the show ❤
