My starter is doing same thing and never drove through water. Doesn't like to idle now either but once running and driving it's pretty decent bike. I have heard the guy that designed these worked for Honda for years so it's basically a clone
I was teaching my sister how to ride and she whisky throttled and it ghost rid and fell on the spark plug side. The bike wouldn't idle at all. I thought it was either overheated or a flooded carb. So I replaced spark plug, emptied carb, adjusted clutch and the idle screw. Still wont idle but will start and run if i give lots of gas Got any ideas on how to fix it? it?
Since it does start and run but doesn’t idle seems like possibly a carb issue. Maybe pull all jets and clean everything out. Something could be bent and the float might not be working right. Worst case is you could probably buy a new carb/upgrade.
Yea I had to replace mine with a d.i.d. chain, I got a 120 link an it was too long so I had to cut it to fit but after that haven't bad to adjust chain at all after the first time
This is not a YZ250 or a KTM 300 2 stroke, obviously, but what about the power? Will it pop the front wheel up with ease to get over logs, and large boulders?
It’s not bad. Could prolly use a rejetting or upgrading the carb. Lots of people talk about this since stock it seems to bog easily low in the rev range if you try to really get on it.
@@CarsAndKyleVlogs This is not a YZ250 or a KTM 300 2 stroke, obviously, but will it pop the front wheel up with ease or would that be wishful thinking?
It doesn’t actually fit the bike. But used zip ties to secure it and does it’s job. Acerbis 2125660001 Skid Plates ,... www.amazon.com/dp/B001KO93O4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The problem with Chinese dirt bikes are they are throw away bikes. That's just the reality of it. Better to spend the same amount of money on a used KTM of Japanese brand.
For the price I can throw it away. The dealer here is charging 3k over msrp on all bikes. The kayo dealer is selling for the price on the website. 2300 + title about 2,500 dollars out the door. Less than the dealer markup alone on the big name bikes. For a casual trail rider like myself I think it’s a great deal. They’re asking 5700 for a klx140rf. I could buy 2 kayo 230s for that price and still have extra cash in my pocket.
@@bikersoncall I recently got a 2008 ktm 125 sx for 2k cash with a hydraulic clutch also has fresh top end rebuild and all it needed was a carb clean and it runs great even starts up first kick and idles perfect.
Umm why cant you go that deep in water lol. my drz been through hell and back never had any issues. I've gone under water had water in motor still ran it home LOL 4 wheeler been submerged "cant go that deep" you should be able to thats on the bike not you.
Bike ran fine but starter is fried. Could just be a crappy started and all the bumps/rocks messed it up. It seems pretty sealed up so water may not have been the issue with the starter but something caused it to go bad/break. I can still kick start/bump start and ride th bike fine 👍
Ive had mine for 5 years and the only weak point is the suspension, the engine still hasnt even been rebuilt.
That’s good to hear! I didn’t even know the brand was that old 😂
@@CarsAndKyleVlogs Lol yeah they've been around for a while actually

Wasn’t the starter, just the battery was bad
@@CarsAndKyleVlogs I will try to swap the battery, all I hear is a click noise from the solenoid where the battery is.
That’s exactly what was happening to me. Swapped the battery and it’s been golden since. I threw some jumpers on it first and it immediately worked
Did you ever replace the rear suspension? Crf250 work?

@@CarsAndKyleVlogs thanks, yea I ended up tuning up the carb and it ran like new since the carb was barley messed with ever since gettin it
Can the crf 250 suspension fit on it?
My frame snapped where my exhaust bolts in too
Cheap metal. It also looks like the bolt was either stripped and/or welded to where it attaches to the frame which means I can’t even unbolt it.
Frame or subframe?
Same thing happened to me
I gotta kayo 125 TT, chain seems to stretch after every ride😂, safe to say the chains are complete shit
Yea I had to replace mine with a d.i.d. chain, I got a 120 link an it was too long so I had to cut it to fit but after that haven't bad to adjust chain at all after the first time
That's every stock china bike chain. Replace them right away with gold racing chains.✌

Yea power is pretty good, obviously depends on your weight as well. Trail rode this with no issues getting up and over branches rocks etc in the way
I have owned the k2 and I own a kt, all kayo bikes have a crappy chain, I'm considering a better, name-brand, high-quality chain for the kt.
Does anybody know where you can get racing suspension for this?
Did you check the fuse? That was the problem with mine, they blow from impact
It was the battery
I mean...it's a 230 intermediate sized bike. Meant for riders around 150ls max.
What skid plate are you running?
What tool did u use to get seat off so I can get to battery to charge
are you blind or dumb. maybe both. you really need to ask that. my son could figure it out and he is 8 yo
All kayo brand not good or just this specific model k2?
My electric starter also went out, what did you do to fix it ?
It actually wasn’t the starter. The batteries are crap and I replaced that and no issues now.
Which spark plug do you use for your kayo bro ?
Not sure off the top of my head but the size should be right on the spark plug when you pull it out 👍
3300?! Damn bro they are robbing you at that price! My local kawasaki dealer has 2021 k2 230's brand new for $2,399
If you look online for a bit can find them for $1350
@fast6232
Those are scam websites bro
>doesnt adjust rear suspention to his weight
>blames the suspention and chain for stretching
breh
its because his bike is a piece of shit
What type of battery did you replace it with ?
Like the brand? I have no idea- whatever the small shop in WV had when I was out there riding 😂
Did you ever confirm if the crf suspension would fit?
No I haven’t.
