I'm surprised how quickly Juri shot up the ranks of Street Fighter popularity. Let's be real, Street Fighter IV's newcomers didn't receive the most positive reception, ranging from "eh, they're okay" to "who thought this was a good idea". Meanwhile Juri over here became arguably THE most popular character out of any of the post-SF2 crowd (aside from Sakura, I guess), to the point where she gets revealed for the next big game before freaking KEN.

Oh man… just thought of this… what if juri took on a young apprentice just like chun, but said apprentice is more sinister and evil? Would have to think on it more, but maybe a cool mirror situation to put them in?

Maybe jp trying to make Violent Ken as his new vessel accidentally makes a psycho Ken that juri uses/help to get at jp who created bison in the first place because she overlooked him/ didn't know his involvement. ( basically a mirror to how Chung helped Ken track down bison and getting caught in street fighter 2 to make violent ken)

She should help Ken out. She has a past of putting down organizations and considering Ken is kind of isolating himself to protect his loved ones, someone like Juri could be very effective at getting intel and her and Ken's chemistry could be a very entertaining scenario to see especially with their personalities. I'd get a kick on how well they would work together emotionally and physically.

If SF decides to up their game in the storyline side, they can kill off Ken's family, making him turn into his darker, lone wolf version who just not gives a fuck anymore (not like evil Ryu, but just bad). His character now is just bland like normal Ryu.
Juri being on her phone and eating junk food more cause of loosing her vengeance target sounds interesting like she looks like she's having the most fun of her life but might actually be hiding that gloomy haze
Maybe the whole point of Juri's presence in Street Fighter 6 is for her to grow into a better person by finding a goal to strive for that goes beyond revenge. Starting at the lowest point in her life and growing from that lowest point
If you take the Arcade mode, you can see that even she is starting to realize how broken she is. She acts snarky regarding Chun-Li's comment about how she's another victim, but deep down... She knows it's true.

The groundwork they've laid for Juri's story in SF6 has potential as many would be able to resonate with her character's struggle in finding a place of belonging after reaching a point in their lives where they're asking themselves "Now what?"
To me Juri and Chun-Li are like a hardcore version of Pizzazz and Jem because of their rivalry to outdo each other the only difference is that Juri is willing to kill Chun-Li when they fight whereas with Pizzazz, she only wants to prove that she and The Misfits are better than Jem and The Holograms, but she won't cross that line of cold-blooded murder like Juri. The only similarities that Juri has with Pizzazz is that she has some sense of honor and compassion.
Juri's in her Piccolo arc or maybe it's closer to Vegeta. There's been hints all around she's still "good". Jamie's win quote vs her suggests he's trying to help her through "stuff" so that may be something to keep an EYE on . . .

Juri is in an interesting standpoint in her SF career. The bane of her existence, Bison, the one who brought upon her greatest misery, is gone. But, she's still haunted by him, because she wasn't the one who put him down. Now that he's gone, what's a girl to do with herself? That's where Juri is at her most dangerous. Pour in some misery and despair all over a chaotic and sadistic woman who no longer has any motivations, and she can do whatever she wants, whenever she wants. It's hard to find something that truly makes her feel good, so she keeps going. A gremlin with no sleep habits, lots of energy, she can go for days, searching, destroying anything and everything she wants. However, going back to Menat's quote that she's lonely. When Juri is down, she's down. That sadness can very well overwhelm her if she doesn't keep up with her wild and chaotic lifestyle. Maybe she is lonely and this is the only way she can communicate, by finding people to fight. I think she'll interact with Chun Li here, perhaps it'll be less antagonistic. I'd like to see her maybe reach out to Chun and say, why don't you call me sometime. Maybe she calls Chun late at night because she needs someone at her side. They can talk about Bison, how shes struggling to move on. tl;dr 🤷♀️
I am not a Juri main but I am in complete agreement that she is the biggest slam dunk addition to the Street Fighter roster we've seen since maybe Cammy, who I am not at all fond of. I can't see her being left behind in any mainline entry at this point and I am okay with that. EDIT: It has dawned on me that Sakura, who is my favorite among all these mentioned but still not a character I main, also made a comparable footprint but she's been added later than Juri in the last two games.
Juri in my eyes set a standard for charmingly crazy fighting game characters. She's sexy, she's unhinged, she's playful, she's crude, and amidst all the other dramatic and big reasons these characters have for fighting, she's just there to have fun kicking the shit out of people. She's a character that's just fun to watch.

Since Street Fighter 6 is taken place in Metro City, I assume all the fighters will be living there, temporary or permanent, and Juri will become Chun-Li's annoying neighbour and often looks to fight and torture Chun-Li for her pleasure but stops when she sees Li Fen, so Juri doesn't end up like Bison. Maybe Juri, Chun-Li, Cammy, Rose, Abel, Seth, Abel, Ed, Falke and all the Bison dolls form a "We Hate Bison" club and bond over their hatred to Bison for what he did to all of them.
I think part of what makes Juri so appealing is that people often root for the damaged characters. She's an anti-hero who can stray between those lines of good and bad, in pursuing her own definition of justice/revenge/avengement and that's always interesting.
For others juri is a counterpart to chunli for me she's the antithesis of kim kaphwan's character. If we ever get a cvs3 someday imagine juri's glowing villainess eye vs. Kim's shining teeth of justice.

I have to admit something. When I saw the entire Arcane show, in the last episode, when Jinx made a fast movement against Caithlyn reminded me Juri Han when her eye glows for use her powers. After that, I found Juri's backstory loosing her parents that reminded me Jinx saw her parents dead on the first episode. But yes, they have differences, Juri loose her loved ones during teenager, while Jinx was just a (I think) 6 years old little girl who understood something or nothing about that situation and later she lost her loved ones more than count. But damm both situations hit me hard
I like this idea you came up with. I was also thinking she takes on a protégé as well (I.E. the player) considering the game is focusing on the next generation. Also her backstory is very sad. Makes me feel bad for her. Even if she doesn't care.
I guess for me, Juri was the equivalent of Maverick Hunter Mega Man X Vile/Vava (the retconned version) in terms of a role. Yes, the characters are different in terms of motivation, but they both serve a similar function, at least in my opinion.
I've been reading a lot about Juri lately, after the new SF6 angle and the Chun-Li "moral compass" comparison (7:57). It seems the consensus both in-story and w/fans is that Juri simply made a choice... after it's casually mentioned that she lost her eye in the attack on her family, as some kind of random footnote. Nevermind that, unlike Chun-Li, Juri directly suffered physical trauma from the event which destroyed her family, but like... she lost her left EYE...? Given the very high likelihood of some kind of residual brain damage (especially if Udon is canon), do you think your ability for lucid and rational thinking would be intact after someone utterly obliterates your freakin' eye???

I mean, if you so desire, it doesn't hurt to connect with the character you control. You can be completely unaware of what's going on with them if you want as well.
All I know, is that it's time for *Capcom* to have *Chun-Li canonically beat Juri* in *SF6* (or at least in a future game). The *SSF4 Rival Fight* is not good enough. It made no sense to have newcomer *Juri* come along in *SSF4,* beat the poster girl *Chun-Li* (due to a distraction every time), and then have them act like nothing has happened in *SF5?* They honestly need to put respect back on *Chun-Li's* name.

I didn't noticed how similar "spinning bird kick" was to Juri's "Senpusha"
I guess for me, Juri was the equivalent of Maverick Hunter Mega Man X Vile/Vava (the retconned version) in terms of a role. Yes, the characters are different in terms of motivation, but they both serve a similar function, at least in my opinion.

I've been reading a lot about Juri lately, after the new SF6 angle and the Chun-Li "moral compass" comparison (7:57).
It seems the consensus both in-story and w/fans is that Juri simply made a choice... after it's casually mentioned that she lost her eye in the attack on her family, as some kind of random footnote.
Nevermind that, unlike Chun-Li, Juri directly suffered physical trauma from the event which destroyed her family, but like... she lost her left EYE...?
Given the very high likelihood of some kind of residual brain damage (especially if Udon is canon), do you think your ability for lucid and rational thinking would be intact after someone utterly obliterates your freakin' eye???
Yeah I always thought she was a twisted chun.... the fact she was so good with her legs but the fact they wasn’t as thick or muscular as chun legs nobody noticed. She wears big pants tho.

All I know, is that it's time for *Capcom* to have *Chun-Li canonically beat Juri* in *SF6* (or at least in a future game). The *SSF4 Rival Fight* is not good enough. It made no sense to have newcomer *Juri* come along in *SSF4,* beat the poster girl *Chun-Li* (due to a distraction every time), and then have them act like nothing has happened in *SF5?* They honestly need to put respect back on *Chun-Li's* name.

Well, we don't know yet...i tought , before i saw the sf6 trailer, that She can redeem herself, or became more friendly, like vegeta in db series, kanon in saynt seya, and others. It happens often in japanese, manga, videogames, that evil characters became good. But looking her actually She seems even more Crazy...but maybe i m wrong.
