This might be controversial, but Amy made the show soooo much better. Penny=gem of a costar. Bernadette=quirky, hilarious addition. But Amy effing Farrah Fowler=comedy gold.

That line was worded wrong. It should have been, "I got him to sleep with me, I got him to marry me." but still one of the best lines on tv ever.
The tiara moment is perfectly acted. It's a perfect representation of all forms of adult decorum completely disappearing in favour of pure childish glee.
And it's beautiful, she's such a talented actor it looked real, and pure. If only we could have moments of joy that freeing all the time.

@Christopher Bingham it’s only ended because Jim Parsons wanted to break out from Sheldon’s character. You can be sure it would continue with him because it was a big money.

All three of the women were valuable to the men who won them. Penny helped Leonard love both himself and others. Bernie helped Howard break out of his misogyny. Amy made Sheldon a human being.

I think the best part of Sheldon and amys relationship is that look on raj and Howard's faces right before the "good God what have we done?". But they never get the credit for it. They're the reason that shamy happened, that Sheldon has a kid named Leonard (though not with Spock's dna), and the reason that Sheldon grew up(face it, without Amy it wouldn't have happened).
Raj and Howard deserve some recognition.

Totally disagree. The WRITERS did this, and they should have been fired.
This was where the show went off the rails. No "Sheldon" (and I was friends with one, for 43 years, up till he died last year at age 62, a life long virgin who never went on a single date, a man who taught himself multivariable calculus in his bedroom as a teenager, a man who tutored college kids in math and physics - tho never attended a single college class) would ever marry.
Remember early in the series, where Sheldon expressed his bewilderment at human relationships? How he claimed to not have a sex drive (as he said, he was not 'burdened' with such an affliction)? They ruined the character development. His friendship, a platonic one, with Amy was fine. But once it got essentially romantic, it got stupid, simply following the pop-culture norm, abandoning who "Sheldon" was.
TBBT was a three or four year series that was awesome, after that, I quit watching.
@@NihongoGuy I disagree, he might just ve been demisexual, or any other form of asexuality. And who Sheldon was? To be honest a selfcentered narcissistic childish asshole, Amy calmed that down a bit. Of course it would ve also worked in a platonic relationship though

Amy is my favourite character, especially towards the end of the show. Her character arc and development is so well done and her effect on other characters like sheldon and penny not only changed the shows dynamics but changed the course of the show for the better.

It's crazy to think that Sheldon probably never realized wolowitz is a HUGE reason why he won the Nobel prize and the reason he broke out of his shell. He is the one that set up Sheldon and Amy. If he hadn't he might of never accomplished all those things 🤯

I believe that Rajesh was the one who took the effort to set them up then Howard went along with it. That makes them both the reason why the two met.

Misssing in this list is the scene in which Amy cooks spaguetti with hotdogs to Sheldon. Her mischevious smile when Sheldon says they should do that more often was GOLD!😂 I rolled laughing!

Amy was probably the most evolved character on the show. If you think about it their whole lives improved and the characters evolved after meeting Penny, as well as Penny’s character evolved after meeting the rest of them.

The tiara is one of the best ever. Her sheer joy over it is just palpable.

This could have been much, much longer. Just her reaction to Sheldon when sick saying he would "rub ointment on her chest" was comedy gold. How about the kid's playhouse? "What-cha doin?" "What's all that wine for"? Penny- "need to stay hydrated".
Or the one he decides to spank her and she enjoys it, so she suggest to spank her a lottle harder as punishment. That whole scene was gold.

@@pale4904well, in reality Penny insisted on jewerly, thinking of a bracelet, necklace or pendants, typical stuff women likes. But Sheldon selected the tiara, which is why Penny thought it was too much and gave us the iconic, doubled meaning Sheldon line after Amy hugs him. "You were right, it was too much".

She is brilliant, beautiful and the loveliest character in TBBT. It’s her who made the character of Sheldon lovable. And the fact that she is just like the same in real life too, make you love her even more.

I'm long time friends with character actor John McGinley. Years ago when I asked him what he thought of BBT, he got real serious and said "that's some of the best acting I've ever seen- and it's done LIVE". This was a week after he finished Broadway with Pacino-

Amy has a huge pansexual energy. It's funny to think how can she be so shy and conservative on her manners, but so open mind at the same time. She is both distant and passioned by human interaction.

I thought Penny and Sheldon have the best relationship and then Amy happened. She was so calm, so reasonable, so selfless and understanding. I cried alot of times like when she was outside Sheldon's bedroom asking him what's wrong during prom. She is so understanding and patient that and I even wanted her to break up with him.
Actually the build up to break up was really subtle. I was really thinking Sheldon was being frustrating but after every fight Amy always forgives him. I never really thought that they would break up. I just thought it would be nice if Amy will have a break from Sheldon and then it happend.
That break up really made their relationship stronger and better.
