Raj and Howard deserve some recognition.
Totally disagree. The WRITERS did this, and they should have been fired. This was where the show went off the rails. No "Sheldon" (and I was friends with one, for 43 years, up till he died last year at age 62, a life long virgin who never went on a single date, a man who taught himself multivariable calculus in his bedroom as a teenager, a man who tutored college kids in math and physics - tho never attended a single college class) would ever marry. Remember early in the series, where Sheldon expressed his bewilderment at human relationships? How he claimed to not have a sex drive (as he said, he was not 'burdened' with such an affliction)? They ruined the character development. His friendship, a platonic one, with Amy was fine. But once it got essentially romantic, it got stupid, simply following the pop-culture norm, abandoning who "Sheldon" was. TBBT was a three or four year series that was awesome, after that, I quit watching.

Amy is my favourite character, especially towards the end of the show. Her character arc and development is so well done and her effect on other characters like sheldon and penny not only changed the shows dynamics but changed the course of the show for the better.

Amy was probably the most evolved character on the show. If you think about it their whole lives improved and the characters evolved after meeting Penny, as well as Penny’s character evolved after meeting the rest of them.

I thought Penny and Sheldon have the best relationship and then Amy happened. She was so calm, so reasonable, so selfless and understanding. I cried alot of times like when she was outside Sheldon's bedroom asking him what's wrong during prom. She is so understanding and patient that and I even wanted her to break up with him. Actually the build up to break up was really subtle. I was really thinking Sheldon was being frustrating but after every fight Amy always forgives him. I never really thought that they would break up. I just thought it would be nice if Amy will have a break from Sheldon and then it happend. That break up really made their relationship stronger and better.
