I bought my Polar Lights kit about 9 years ago, but never really got started on it and not long afterwards I bought my house so it went into storage. I dug it out a few weeks ago and I'm finally going to start building my, and hyper detailing it. I was looking around to see what others had managed to accomplish with their builds. Which is how I ran across your video. Let me know if you do some more things with the 1:350 refit kit, as I am always interested in how others build theirs (including the sub-assemblies like the hanger/cargo bays, travel pods, work bees, etc.) third-wave-design.com
Very cool. Hopefully you will take on the added burden of shooing some more video (and/or photos) of your build when you start in on your next one. I have gone down the rabbit hole on mine and I am building my own scratch built workbees which will have transparent tinted windows, fiber optic lighting and a workman/pilot sitting inside. As you know from the size (2.7 meters at 1:350 scale = 7.714 mm) it is insanely difficult to do. I have started my own blog on my build. Not a whole lot there yet as I am at this stage starting to talk about (and now slowly showing) my progress on the methodology of building these custom scratch-built workbees. third-wave-design.com/2016/09/25/test-folding-with-paint/
Great idea to display it on its own as a cut away, at least you get to see all the detail that has gone into making it.
Nice build.
