I'm usually 'meh' about finished builds. I focus on al the imperfections or things I could've done differently. But this one, I was very happy with this one.
Great Job! I love the Enterprise-B. I remember seeing it on the big screen when I was 8. I wish we got some more stories from what is known as "The Lost Era" of Star Trek. The Enterprise B and C. Tha fully, Section 31 will cover part of it.
Totally agree, the B fights with the E for my favourite Star Trek ship. I have some of the books from the Lost Era and while they’re good I’d have loved to get to see her more on screen.
@@JasonsSpaceDock that’s definitely my favourite addition as well, I think they made the right choice in choosing the Excelsior class for the B, definitely makes sense thematically but creating a refit for the introduction to the B was definitely the way to go. I wish we’d got to see more of this version in DS9 as so many Excelsior were seen. It was a pity that the additions would have caused damage to the Excelsior model though.
Thank you for saying so, to both. I've put a lot of effort into figuring our how to create compelling videos that people want to watch. And years building model to be able to share my process (and commentary)
The Enterprise Bis one of if not my favourite Star Trek ships, I would love to own on of these done by you, it’s amazing and you did an awesome job with it. I’d really like to start modelling but due to medication my hands can shake quite a bit, I think I’ll stick to my art like the Enterprise D i did and use as my profile pic.
Well, I would say thats some decent art you produced! Thanks for watching and commenting, it was a challenge to pull off! I will be scaling back commissions in the new year, and there'll be some announcements about that in the coming weeks. However, if you're ever interested in one HMU and I'll generate a quote for you.
@@JasonsSpaceDock of course. your builds are so nice! i've always been a lego builder myself, but after starting in D&D the last two years and printing/painting mini's, i've been looking into scale models..... where do you get the black bases i see in your videos? just starting out, so trying to figure out a lot of things lol
You mentioned the photo etch windows were hard to apply. Would putting the photo etch through the flame of a lighter to help release the springiness of the brass help? All in all, you've done a great job! Studio quality in my opinion.
My favourite ship and kit, love what you achieved with this one.

"Don't worry about making mistakes" Very true! That said, 99% of mistakes, only you will notice.
I think worrying about mistakes is the #1 things holding people back re: model making.

I didn't love all the mods they made, but I did like the addition to the secondary hull. Reminiscent of the PBY Catalina

This came out beautiful!
Thank you so much for watching AND commenting!
Great video! Ship turned out great

She turned out perfect, Jason! Nice build!
Thank you, my man!
Nice job. I like the parchment trick to difuse the lighting.
necessity is the mother of invention lol

Gorgeous build! btw, your linktree isn't working for your site stuff
Thanks for the headsup about linktree. I'll see whats going on there.

I hadn't thought of that. I'll keep it in mind for the next time.
And thank you for the kind words.
@@JasonsSpaceDock Your welcome! Something I learned from Boyd from his builds with the refit and TOS.
