I’ve wanted one badly at 18. So I worked and saved and bought an older beaten up one.
We towed it home, my Dad’s friend looked it over and said, “ If you can bring it back, do it Now!”
It was beyond repair, for a kid my age. 😭 😢 but it did have overdrive!
No, I never got another. So whenever I see one, my brain flashes back and I dream 💭.
    Glad you’ve gotten yours!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Nice trick. I did this same job on my GT6 about a year and a half ago. I just greased up the tie rod knuckle real well and pushed the boot over the knuckle. It bent back on itself until it got to the bigger part of the boot. Then I pulled the boot back and it unravelled itself and it fit fine on the rack. In the future if I ever have to do that again, (not likely now), I’ll use your method.

What a great trick! I'd never have thought of doing that at all.

Used to do this job on a daily bases having worked in an MOT station also driveshaft gaiters.
Used to slacken trackrod end lock nut before detatching the end from the link and when finished it was policy to ckeck and adjust the tracking. That was many years ago it seems like another age? maybe it was. 👍

Happy New Year Elin. That is truly a great method I have used the pop an trick with some success but this is a game changer.

Much better! Didn't you do a video on this ages ago using a soda can? And Catch 22, great book!

Great trick, learned something again. But Elin, arent‘t your brake lines too short? They seem to be under tension with wheels turned.
