Both officers were very good in this awful situation. The lady officer was hard and direct, and the male officer was soft and understanding, and working together, got the right information
The amount of smiling and laughter coming from her while being interrogated about murdering a child is giving me chills.
It shows how evil she really is smiling about a princess blanket when it is covering a deceased baby it's hard to even write that.
That is how psychopaths react. To explain: This thing has no more emotion about killing Baby Benson than if she were to turn a light switch off or on. That is how dead they are inside. There is nothing and I mean nothing. Chilling.

Both cops were great, but I was particularly impressed by the lady. She knew exactly how to cut through Marrissa's BS, and wasn't going to give her an inch. Watching her work was very cathartic.

When the lady officer was talking about "this is the third time we talked about a child" you can hear the anger and sadness in her voice. "Babies don't just die"

She also talked about being sick in jail because she hadn't gotten her meds. She's obviously talking about methadone or another medication for drug addiction.
l hope the baby she was carrying was adopted by an awesome family. The dad didn't act like he was capable.

She got 40 yrs in prison. 37 yrs for the death of Benson and 3 yrs for the child abuse of the other child in question. Marissa has 6 kids of her own, 4 of them were removed from her custody at the time.

When she realized she was going to jail was the ONLY time she produced a tear.
You can tell she's smiling while crying, and it sounds so fake too, and then she's perfectly fine. Truly cruel and sick monster.

Imagine feeling hungry after killing a baby! She went on her day like nothing happened. I've seen people devastated over their puppies dying for months and years. She didn't even miss lunch. Makes me wonder if she's killed before and didn't get caught that time.

The fact that I went to school with her, and was friends with her when we were younger scares me. I don't think they gave her enough time. The SCARY part is she lived next to me. I seen her that night outside with the kids. I wish I would have known then what was going on.

Ill say it sadly people can be VERYYY good at hiding their true intentions and their true nature, i mean look at how murderers lured victims ( using charismatic attitudes), some people are easy to fool also as they are too trusting , this is why I would never let ANYONE babysit my kids other than my mother & my mother in law and brother inlaw and his wife they are the only ones I fully trust because i know they wouls never harm my child but i would never trust friends or anyone outside my circle for a babysitter 😢 even with background checks i dont trust them , as background checks only catch what they were caught doing same with SEGGS offenders they are only known if they get caught and go on the register theres many of them who have never been caught or convicted :(

I saw someone once say that the innocent are full of questions, while the guilty are full of answers. This lady never even asked why are we talking about the baby, she immediately had answers for the officer.

Guess I'm screwed if I ever get interrogated by police. I try to use the information I'm given or have observed to guess what's going on, so I tend not to ask "obvious" questions. Although I've been trying to break the habit, since it's gotten me into trouble a few times. It's just better to have concrete info than to assume, even if you think the answer is "obvious".

I used to have upstairs neighbors like that. The guy asked me to come upstairs and smoke weed with them so I obliged, and I couldn't hand her the blunt I passed it back to him and watched him hand it to her it irked me out (she was super pregnant). Years later she was in the news for neglect in a different location and the pictures of the conditions were horrendous. The way they left the apt upstairs was absolutely disgusting. I don't think she's necessarily a psychopath but she likely has personality disorders going on. She also seems to have some sort of cognitive deficit - her interactions with police remind me of a 3 or 4 year old. Plus the drug abuse - it's like her brain is fried.

Had the mother done a background check, she would have seen pending/finalized child abuse charges. Also, a child caretaker should have a resume with experience and references! May seem like alot but your children are worth the hassle. My condolences. 🤍🕊 🙏🏾

I agree, the female officer had me in tears, I could hear the hurt in her voice.
I almost became a cop. Went through most of the hiring process, which was almost a year long ordeal, and backed out for this reason. I couldn't restrain myself when it comes to people hurting kids. They'd have had accidents on the way to the jail.

The way she smiles is so disturbing. If it was an accident, you would call paramedics and do everything you can to get help. I hope she spends life in prison and that her kids are with someone who will care for them and love them. I can't imagine the pain and horror the mother must have felt. This is why my babies stayed with me every moment. Can't trust anyone.

I have a high-needs autistic son who is mostly nonverbal and I refuse to trust anyone other than his grandparents to watch him since he's not capable of advocating for himself. If something happened he wouldn't know how to tell me about it. I recognize that not everyone is able to do that and we live a humble life to make it possible. It shouldn't be this way, but we do what we need to in order to keep our kids safe.

The baby not only had a fractured skull, but a broken tailbone, too. Baby benson’s mother had no idea that the person she was handing her innocent baby to , was a serial child abuser!! How sad ! That babies mother will never get over this. When the murderer gets to prison and the other women find out that she had two previous arrests for child abuse, and then killed a baby, she will be faced with the wrath of all the women in prison with her. They will serve her their own form of prison justice.

I am really impressed with the way both officers handled this. To control your emotions while gathering as much information as possible is crucial. To do your job yet be empathetic at the same time is a gift.
Yeah! Honestly I was getting annoyed by the lack of input from the male detective but even in the beginning of the video his small inputs were always well executed tricks to encourage her to relax they’ve probably been partners for a while I wonder how long

This is absolutely horrific. That she killed a child, that she can't own it, the way she tried to cover it up. Everything is messed up. I'm not even a parent but somehow I feel a parent's retributional level anger at this. I feel for the baby, _and_ feel immensely for the parents. They all deserved way better.

She's evil, I think a part of her must enjoy abusing kids to keep doing it again and again to different children. Especially after she's been told by the Court that she can no longer watch any child but does it anyway. And that smile when they told her the baby was dead, "monster" doesn't even begin to cover it. My heart goes out to the mother, I just can't even imagine.

I mean she tortured two children, murdered one and is flipping pregnant so she doesn't care. She was smiling with the police officer after she was told he was dead and handed the dead baby over to his Mum knowing her life was about to be ruined, this woman can't be freed.
She did get life in prison. She's 31 at the time of this video. She got 40 years in prison. 37 for the murder and 3 for the other child abuse cases. She'll be 71 when she's released and will probably die in prison anyway.
