Thanks for the video. I have been looking at this one and the Frigidaire Professional version. Other than the handles I'm having trouble figuring out the differences.
Thank you very much for this video. I saw your comment about not being able to use the convection features in the microwave and the oven at the same time and I really appreciate your highlighting that because I had missed that in the manual. My question is, can you use the oven in traditional bake mode and the microwave convection at the same time. Thank you very much.
I have managed to use the microwave at the same time I was roasting in the oven. Once it's preheated, it doesn't use anywhere near as much power to maintain the temp. So it seemed to work out better for me that way.
Been waiting for this video and I’m so glad you like the oven!! I was also totally unaware of not being able to run both the convection microwave and oven at the same time and the fact that the oven still lets you do it is a major safety issue!! Other than that, I still think it’s a great oven and the improvements made from the previous generation air fry oven are amazing!! One question I have is can the regular microwave function be used while the bottom oven is operating? Keep up the amazing work and let me know if Frigidaire ever reaches out to you about the issue. God Bless!!! 💜🙏🤍
I tried it and it seemed to work... I didn't run the microwave very long though... Only about a a minute. But that didn't pop my breaker. It might on a longer heat though, and the oven was already warmed up.
@ I really hope for at least the normal microwave, it’s fine because what do you do if there’s a time you need to operate the microwave while the oven is running? It’s almost like a range that won’t let you run the cooktop while the oven is on lol!! 🤣😂 If Frigidaire would fix this issue, it would be perfect and I would definitely get it but I unfortunately can’t if I possibly wouldn’t be able to use my microwave while the oven is on.
Just tried it for longer last night... With the oven sitting at 350, I ran the microwave for abiut 4 mins and it didn't trip the breaker.... Not the best test, but it's promising.
Thank you for your review. You mention that it is only mentioned once that you can't run both the microwave convection and oven at the same time...where is it mentioned...owners manual? I did a search for keywords "same time" only one instance came up not referring to running the units at the same time. Can you tell me where you referenced this statement and if the owner's manual, what page? Thank you for your help!
Yep... It's in the owners manual in the precautions area I think. I haven't seen much about that online, but it appears that combo ovens use one large power source for the whole unit, and double ovens might be designed more independently. It's weird... However, I am able to use my oven and do microwaving duties at the same time without popping breakers, so that something sort of interesting. I'll have to look in the manual to find that exact page for you though.
There are 2 vents. One above the microwave and one between the oven and microwave. They vent out the front. I think that's pretty typical for wall ovens, though.
😋 Love me some peppered beef jerky... Sadly, your salesman may not even know that both ovens, cannot be used at the same time... That's a major floor ... They must have double option in their range, but maybe not with the microwave option... Joe, does their range offer you the perfect option ❓
The regular double oven probably does. Not sure about that. This one for me wasn't really a deal breaker, but that's because it's in my studio. Most of the year it wouldn't be a problem, but I'm thinking it would be a bigger issue around the holidays when you do bigger meals. I didn't try running the microwave along side the oven... Just oven and oven, but I assume the microwave would still use about the same amount of power.
Hi Joe. Thx for this. I've never heard of convection "microwave". Can you clarify is it essentially a smaller convection oven mode above the oven (not microwave technology), or convection "microwave technology" which I've never heard of? 🧐🤷♀️
Heya, LA. It is a microwave oven that also has convection oven hardware in it, so it can do both. They've been around for a while, but aren't super common. I had one in my last place and though it was pretty neat. This one does the job better than the last though. Feels weird when you first try to use it.
There are use cases for preheating to a different temperature than baking. Sometimes you'll want to preheat to 450 for caramelizing then cook at 300° for internal juiciness. There's a formula that averages it out. A bacon button? I double dare you to cook bacon 🥓 in it! 😂 Let's see if it's still camera ready after.
@@bakechef781 they're just store bought Pillsbury stuff in the tubes... Just got em to test the oven... They're garbage, but OK for this purpose I suppose. 🤔
Always enjoy your product reviews as they’re very informative! Thank you.
You're welcome. Thanks for checking it out!

I'll have to check that out and see if I can see what they did different on it.
Good review. 🤗
Great review. The Ninja coffee maker looks really cool. Happy Holidays.
Thanks. Happy holidays to you too!

@gagejohnson3778 gonna try the thing with the microwave today.

ooooh those cookies looked terrific! maybe one day we can get the recipe!
Lol... Well for the ones I think sted the oven on, I just used some Toll House fresh cookie dough from a tub.... They were tasty though!
Where does the unit vent heat from for the microwave and for the oven?

Can you microwave on top and use convection oven below at the same time? Or is it like trying to use both baking functions and it'll flip the breaker?
I got freaked out a little and didn't try that, but I should... Will try that tomorrow and see what happens.
@@JoesPhenomenal That would be appreciated. I'm about to buy one so very curious what would happen 😅
@@JoesPhenomenal Nevermind don't do it. I have read you can't run both units in any combination at the same time!
@jameskim2356 lol... Now I'm curious though... Haha.
