I have a 2021 and before that I had a 2013 which I gave to my daughter. Two of the best cars ever made. I worked on the 2013 myself for years, changing transmission fluid, engine oil, filters, brake pads, all kinds of things. Nothing was very difficult to do. The 2021 is too new for any major repairs, but I did change the battery myself a few weeks ago. Nothing fancy there. Straight forward and easy.
Thanks, for the good video, I did a similar job to replace the two fuel Pump filters of my MAZDA 3 hatch back, as part of my 60 K Km maintenance its quiet similar . Just want to add as a cleanliness precaution. To cover the open end of the fuel pipe after dismateling it while working, to prevent any dirt getting through . Remeber that after that point there is no down stream filter to catch any small dirt particles when the car is restarted . For the same reason its OK to have the line pressurized to purge clean any dirt particle whie removing the connection clip,. keep a rag to catch the spill as in the video.
Amazing information! I got a SkyActiv-D Mazda 3 from 2014, diesel. For some reason, it's so hard to understand how the fuel system works. It has the HPFP pump, but there's no pump in the tank or am I missing something? The assembly unit has only a positive and negative power lines so no fuel level measurement cables. Is this somehow sent to the ECU wirelessly maybe? Also there's no fuel pump relay in the fuse box in the engine bay, like no metal contacts inside the socket where the relay should sit. Is the relay maybe built in the assembly that's inside the tank? You would help me so much if you can provide at least some information about this. I had such a hard time finding any info about the fuel system.
LOVE your videos; I just purchased a 2023 CX 50 Preferred Plus; always been a Toyota guy and know how to maintain them, but Mazda is not sure when to replace the Transmission oil and coolant or spark plugs. Can you give me a time frame for them? I really appreciate any help you can provide.
I have a mazda 6 2017. Basically same transmission. I have 190k miles right now. But i didn't replace the trans oil until 160k miles. It was dark, but not sludgy. I fully replaced with more mazda ZF trans fluid as i feel it held up extremely well to begin with. And my car still shifts like new still, everything's very smooth. I didn't even replace the trans filter. I believe dealerships just hope most people are too scared to ever replace their trans oil resulting in eventual failure. Though ironically mazda makes it super easy with including a dipstick.
Made this change on my wife’s 2016. Her fuel light came on and her fuel needle is on “E” now after a few days after changing it. She had more than a half of a tank left. Can you explain this????? What’s the next steps????
I have a 2018 Mazda 6 and is making a ticking noise but not always. Someone told me it is the HP fuel pump. If that is the case, does this repair apply to my vehicle? Would you think is something that someone with no experience can do at home?
So I have a 2015 Mazda 6, it gotten pounded wrongfully but that's another story, I got it back and it's engine was knocking I checked the oil that oil is good anyway it broke down on me, I'm trying to get my gas out of it cuz I need it for my truck. I can't find any valve on the fuel injector rail and I can't get any tube into the tank. So I reckon this is my next best option? Edit: It has damn near a full tank Edit: also I still have like 12 more payments of $400 on it, it's going to cost me like $13,000 total after the finance charge and all that jazz, I think someone's sabotaged it, It all of a sudden started knocking really bad as soon as I got it back like not immediately like I got back to my state and filled it up with gas went to work and it started knocking come home from work and the next morning I went to work it was knocking even worse and then it's just shut down, (The oil was fine as far as I can tell everything maintenance wise looks okay), but maybe not maybe it was just bad luck coincidence, either way I'm contemplating it just returning it to the dealer, it was from a buy here pay here place, if I return it on the plus side I save about $600 a month because of the full coverage insurance, and that's going to need to go to a lawyer to prove that I ain't do nothing wrong, by the way don't go to Currahee Mountain in Georgia after dark, DNR will pop that ass....smh. and as an added plus, It will take you a while to find your vehicle be as a tow receipt won't have any relevant information on it and every number that you'll get won't know where your car is Edit: I finally got around doing this and somebody lock tighted one of the bolts in I can't get it out I haven't stripped it but if I keep trying at it I might, not sure what to do
THIS IS NOT BY THE SERVICE MANUAL NOR SAFE ALSO * clean up first before hand so Nothing will accidentally fall in the tank that the screen will get plugged up by .

Nicely done! I really appreciate the clear step-by-step, with good camera angles, and details of how to disconnect plugs and hoses etc.
You’re super inspiring. I’ll have my 2021 forever following your videos. And I’ll be able to afford OEM parts since I’ll be doing repairs myself.
I have a 2021 mazda 6 too. I love it.

Thanks bro ❤
is this the same processes for a 2017 mazda 3???
I have 2017 mazda 6 .fuel smell around the car , I wounder is that can be the problem
Does the 2016 M6 have the same screw in retainer or is it a locking ring?

My car cuts out about 20 miles an hr sometimes what does that mean

High pressure fuel pump is different. It's under the hood by the battery.
My 2021 cx5 have high pitch noise when driving low speed 30mph . Does it might have same fuel pump issue ?

What are the part numbers?

First you pull the fuse, then you can't open the boot because you disconnected the battery? wtf?
If you open the gas tank cap it would have vented that pressure at the fuel line to the tank
thanks
