If you adopt the three at home treatments I mention in this video, and do them consistently, you should notice significant improvement of your dry eye symptoms if you have mild to moderate dry eye disease.
This is NOT a sponsored video, the treatments I recommend in this video are based on my own clinical experience treating dry eye disease, as well as my personal experience.

PRK price varies geographically in the US. The type of technology used by different excimer laser machines can also affect the price. I’d recommend you check with your surgeon about the laser platform and technology they use. If you are in Southern California, feel free to call my office to schedule a consultation if you would like.

I am using systane complete and it has helped a lot. I had temporary punctul plugs which were amazing. I then had permanent one inserted. A disaster from the beginning! My eyes felt more irritated! I use the eye mask which you showed with good effect.Thank you for your valuable advise.

I went back to using Refresh and the haze when I take off my glasses from my growing cataracts nearly disappeared just like the pharmacist said when I asked if the drops will cut the haze. Can’t use the drops all the time because my eyes will water. But the eye pain disappeared. It’s nice to be able to take off my glasses and not have everything look like a smokey room. I’ll just keep using these drops to ease my dry eye and keep that haze to near zero. I get no haze with my glasses on, no more squiggly lines crossing my left eye, no more flashes and even that annoying tiny black spot floater has disappeared.

My eye doctor recommended a daily lid cleanse with hypochlorous acid to be used in the monning and evening. The one I use is made locally called, Pure & Clean. Haven't checked if it's on Amazon but there would be others with that ingredient. The one I have has only three ingredients: electrolyzed oxygenated water, sodium chloride and .01% hypochlorous acid.

I appreciate your advice and recommendations very much. Thank you! I have had dry and irritated eyes for years, and never did anything about it until now. I recently got shingles on the right eye and the fact that the eye was so dry I damaged my cornea by scratching my eye too hard... Anyway I am now under treatment for that and I am using PF eye drops regularly now. I wonder if the warm compresses would help at this point?

Thank you for your videos. You are very smart and educated. I wish I found you much earlier. My brother is almost totally blind. He had cataract surgeries in both of his eyes.
Last year in November he had a cornea replacement only in the left eye. The sutures are still in his eye.
I recomended him to use heated eye mask and massage on his eye lids. Today I found an article that says that the heat and massage could damage the cornea. What is your opinion, recommendation? Thank you so much.

Thanks for the video! It was very informative. My question is: Will these methods treat the disease, or will they treat the symptoms?
I have been experiencing dry eyes ever since I got contact lenses. My doctor prescribed me eye drops to help, and they did. That is, while I was using them. I noticed that my eye began to just rely on the teardrops for moisture. Is there a real cure for dry eyes? There should be. I also work in the medical sphere and am familiar with "treating the symptom, not the cause". I really hope a kind medical professional could help me and so many people suffering from the same condition. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and others. Have a wonderful day! 🌺🌹🙂

Hello Dra. Tai i had my iol lens implant April 7, 2022. I'm still experiencing the halos and terrible glares especially in the evening. My eyes feel cloudy out blurry and hazy. Is that normal and for how long is the normal case? I have been googling other infos about iol lens implant although I pretty aware of the different recovery period each individual goes thru. They say HD vision will be experienced but it seems I'm far from that and rather experiencing the opposite. There are shadows around on letters and words in a black or dark background with white colored letters. And even on things and everything else as long as it's dark background with white base color. Please advice if it's not too much to ask. I'm 51 and been using progressive glasses for the last 5 years. So the implanted lens is a multi focal lenses.

I have chronic dry eye problems. I tried a few types of expensive eye drops but the relief didn’t last long. Then I tried red LED light therapy in the last 2 days after I came across a video which said that it helped with dry eyes. Tried it twice in the last 2 days and was surprised at how much better my eyes feel. As a bonus, red light is also good for the skin and eye bags.

Hello Dr Thai, just watched your Video very interesting. I had a floaters I went to see the ophthalmologist he suggested to do laser surgery there and then. After the laser surgery, I have then a lot black round floaters which I didn't have before. I have floaters but not black spot. Now I do have a lot of little black round floaters I am very scared. I went to him told him that my eyes is worst than before. I am very unhappy with the laser surgery, my floaters is worst until now. I really regret to have the laser surgery because its worsen my eyes. He said after two months the floaters still visible go back for another laser surgery to get rid of the black floaters. Could you please give me some indication as to why after the Laser Surgery I do have have BLACK round FLOATERS. Looking forward to your opinion. Amy

Try using Ciclosporin , one drop in each eye every evening.

I use Refresh(Lacri-Lube) at night and Hydra sense drops once or twice during the day. Feel ok, however, when upon waking up, I experience tears in my eyes and stickyClosed shut) eyelids(in my left eye). I have recently started taking a cod liver oil supplement.

What is your opinion of RESTASIS. Thank you.

It is an effective dry eye medication, but not for every dry eye patient. A complete eye exam with a qualified eye doctor is needed to see if Restasis is right for your eyes.

Hello Dr Tai your video is very informative. I am using Tears Naturalle II eyedrops for my dry eyes. I noticed that when I woke up in the middle of the night my eyes are dry but during the day it is ok. What do you think is the problem?

In general, the thicker or more viscous the eye drop is, the longer lasting the lubrication effect is.

I'm using Gen Teal. I have severe dryness of eyes which has become more painful after cataract surgery. Refresh Digital is not available in most of the pharmacies. Don't like online purchase. The eye lids are so swollen after surgery I look like a ' fright'. Awful. Oops I was using cool compress to cool the burning in the eyes. Will try warm compress & non preservative Digital eye drops. Thank you.

Found GenTeal for 'Severe' condition at Shop Rite. The only store that carries it. Along with warm towel, there's been a tremendous improvement.

Hello. Thanks for the video. I have been diagnosed with dry eye six months ago. The only difference in what I have been reading and told is that my eyes do not hurt and are not I guess the normal dry eye.
Mine just keep watering continuously which results in very wet cheeks and a loss of vision due to the tears. What can I do to rectify this problem. Many thanks. Ron Pickersgill.

Tearing can be a symptom of dry eye disease, but it could be also caused by many other eye conditions. I recommend a thorough eye exam with an ophthalmologist to identify the cause of tearing.

Used refresh, hot compress 2x day and restasis..nothing is helping so far. Eyes so sensitive have to wear sunglasses in the house, and difficult to drive. I’m about ready to try keeping eyes closed for a couple of weeks.
