Running 2 JBL W12GTI MK2s ported at 34hz on this amp and it literally made a MASSIVE difference over my previous Hifonics Brutus 2016D that failed after 5 years. I was super impressed because they both have similar numbers.
Can I ask,why do some amps have external fuses and some don't ? Kicker 800.1 on sale for 239,want to get one now.they should come with the bass knob included. Thanks for the time man👍
Good question- I think some do because of lack of protection parts designed into the amplifier Instead of safely going into protect Tbh I only see cheap amps or older amps have fuses externally That’s a big question that I will need to do some digging on 👊🏼
The settings that you displayed, are those the correct settings u should use when you first hook the amp with an factory deck.. i have the kicker 12” CompR 2,000 watts speakers to go with it
Always set your amplifier settings according to Headunit settings So it will be different everytime unfortunately The cheapest way is to grab a multi meter and test for AC voltage and use the kicker manual to find correct readings according to what you are running It’s a live show but I explain every way to set gains properly here th-cam.com/users/livexe4lnaqeuM8?si=IPXwrXVo-ms31dQ8

If you enjoy the P3s but want “more” maybe a custom enclosure is all you need if you haven’t done so already! That set up probably sounds great tho What are you wired at on the 1800

I just watched your video on the Taramps Amp and it seems to need less power from the battery to reach higher watts. So which in your opinion would you purchase. Taramps HD 3000 1 Ohm, Taramps 3000 Bass or the Kicker 1800.1?
Should do fairly well - the 3k is more power but at what cost in quality Power is power to a point but if you don’t mind some longevity or QC issues The budget way works for many 👊🏼
@LivinLoudwithAndy i was gonna pick up the cxa1800 kicker but just yesterday I got a power 1500.1bd rockford fosgate for such a steal I couldn't pass it up so let's see what it does with those xr12s 🤞
They have yet to show a single 2Ω load test on a CXA1200.1, it's all 1Ω Dyno's!~ I even asked John M from Kicker to do one, he said he would an decided to go to Kicker Engineering instead for a unrelated answer vs doing the test!~
I feel with how we use these amps in most cases - only a trained ear at low SPL levels could hear a difference Sure they can keep a better signal but with thousands of watts You won’t notice 😉

This amplifier gets extremely hot needs a cooling fan like the KX could also be the compact design. But it does put out the power

CX is the older 2Ohm model
CXA is 1 ohm stable with same ratings at 1 and 2

I have two of them, strong power at 40hz. non-adjustable 25hz subsonic filter rolls off much higher. anything under 35hz these amps are worthless.

Mine clips when I turn the volume up😕
Check your voltage at amp when your clipping
Clipping will occur faster with more voltage drop
