Wow what a great vlog, Don. Like you, I love aircraft and can watch them for hours. But unlike you, I don't like flying so much. I have had dozens of flights with Etihad but just on 2 routes. BKK-AUH-LHR-AUH-BKK and the other one KTM-AUH-LHR-AUH-KTM. The best airline I have flown so far is Singapore Airlines and flown 4 times with them. Did you visit Chiang Rai in Thailand ? That was where I lived mostly although I have also lived in Bangkok and Pattaya too. I was never on the A350 and never tried the 787 either. Most of my flying was on 707s, 727s, 737s, 747s, 757s, 767s and 777s. And on Airbus A319, A320, A321, A330 and A340. Apart from those I have used BAC-111, DC 8s, DC 10s, MD 11s, Tristars, Viscounts, Vanguards, Tupolev TU134, Tupolev 154, Ilyushin 62, Dakota DC-3s, Twin Otters and the HS748. I hope that before long I can try the A350 and the Boeing 787.
Well Don, I used to fly a lot but these days rarely and just between Lisbon or Faro and Heathrow or Bournemouth. That A350 does look like a beaiutiful plane, Don.@@donstravelsandrants.
I should add that for me, the major adrenaline rush @ take off, is truly something else. I love it & frankly, I can't get enough of it. I know many people get grumpy about travel & flying, because of waiting times & time variations, etc;, but for me, the entire aspect of travel, right from the airport to the flight itself is simply brilliant! 😊Much fun! Because just like you, I too, am absolutely crazy in love with all things aviation, travel, flying, etc;. I've always loved global travel & was fortunate enough to be taken a few times with my parents. These travel experiences left a lifelong imprint within my mind & heart. So now, if ever I get the chance to "take off", I do!! lol Just like you, I too love flight, specifically "take off" & of course once we're right up there, flying along smoothly in the stratosphere. That is indeed a superb sight my friend, it really is. It is indeed one of life's wonderful & exciting experiences. Your videos are always fun to watch & this one so much so, that I've already watched it numerous times over! It's great to see you getting out & about, enjoying yourself & seeing varying parts of this amazing world of ours. We are super excited too, as we're now packing & getting ready to leave for Ireland on November 30th. After Ireland we fly elsewhere, so we're seeing a few wonderful global regions. A very exciting time in our lives & I'll be within my favoured environment. Also, Etihad Airways is wonderful from what I've heard & similarly, so too Emirates. We're flying with Emirates, then a few other airlines within Europe. We also have a stop over in Dubai, so that should be much fun & a new experience for us. I love your joy & zest for life & the way you explain & describe your experiences, your feelings & your joy for flying & travel etc;. Yes indeed Don, they're very good. In regards to Emirates, I almost always only hear very positive words, regarding their inflight services. For the most part, excellent service all around. We'll be flying Emirates 777 Boeing to Dublin & we are very excited. @@donstravelsandrants.
