I got my Typhon 6s V5 on sale for $399. The 2 parts I would want off the TLR, would be the chassis and the body. Other than that the regular version is awesome.
It is awesome more than enough
Probably a while back but was it bought online??
@@NanceLvr no I bought it brand new at my local Hobby Shop. They match all the online sales. I actually got it a little over a year ago.
I got that same deal, unreal value. Got the TLR tune later and can't tell a difference at my skill level.
How do you fit the two 3s inside the tlr typhon without the body popping out
Just stacked them on top of each other. Never really had an issue with the body
What might help stop that terrible spin-ah-roony is to put 500k in the front diff, 80k center diff, and 50k rear diff. Sounds strange, but it helps. It will corner instead of spin-out in circles.
I will look into that. It was probably 30 degrees out when I made this so that certainly didn’t help
What 4s/6s electronics would be approved for track use?
Have to check the roar approved list
My budy got a tlr typhon but the chassis and shock towers were an issue better aluminum but the width of the towers seems to make the towers weaker and the chassis got bent easier then expected and comparing to my blx v5 the chassis seemingly has more rigidity in the rear then the tlr 🤷🏻♂️ id say get the blx if your just bashing and u have 130 extra for other upgrades like aluminum braces and aluminum diff cases if u wanted
I’m going to get this out to a dirt offroad track in the coming months and see if it shines better there
What do you think of that new Losi 8ight RTR?
I think it’s pretty sharp looking buggy and a comparison of it and the tlr typhon would be great. I think the sensored motor was a good upgrade since the sensorless setup in the tlr tuned is a bit outdated.
@@rynks_rc Hopefully they drop a roller version.
The TLR is awesome for sure. It's a tough choice between the standard 6s Typhon and the TLR. I mostly drive offroad and a standard 6s would probably be more applicable for my driving.
I agree. Unless you need the extra adjustment for some reason the standard version is more than you need
U can get a new 6s for $400 rtr u can’t beat that
Absolutely a great deal
Just buy a TLR kit. Why would you want all the headaches. And when ur done. It’s still not a TLR
True but I didn’t pay tlr price. I think I paid $450 for it brand new. I own tlr kits and I know the headaches they bring as well lol can’t get parts
On road blows! So boring!
There is a dirt offroad track about 1.5 hours out that I do intend to try once they open in spring
