Reflecting on this New Years Eve 2024. I'm 60 years young. My life is my music. Home with my dog Minnie Girl. It's 717pm in Albuquerque New Mexico and my neighbors are setting off fireworks. I decided to listen to Roxy Music and I came across some great content.
William John Burnett Yes, I saw them several times over the years and went along, almost reluctantly, to see them play in Birmingham on this reunion tour. Third song in they did 'If There Is Something', and all the memories came flooding back. It was superb, and so were they.
In 2000 I was only three meters away from him and, I believe, for the split of a second his eyes rested benevolently on me, when he checked the crowd. I'm so glad that his music is there for me!
If I could have been born as someone else, I'd be BF. He has to that rare ability to be a great entertainer but not take himself seriously. So smooth and classy.
So much fun! I agree that they never sounded better than this, and the video itself iis superb. Great camera work and audio of what is surely a classic performance of their best songs. Nearly 30 years earlier in the summer of '72, an Irish girlfriend dragged me to a small club in D.C. to see a band she loved but that I had never heard of. Yes, Eno and all. No surprise there -- few Americans yet had. Needless to say, I was hooked.
me - too - I can still remember the first time I heard Love is the Drug that bass line.. then to hear a sax come in.. I was like -who is this?! wish I had seen them.
J aime beaucoup cet artiste .
Me fascina. Lo conozco de hace muchos años. Felicidades Bryan Ferri!! Arriba!!!! Es un Inglés de. .. DE. Categoria
Absolutely brilliant,to see all the band together that is;Roxy Music, the first song I heard of Roxy Music was Love is a Drug, hooked after that, music will live on,my favourite is Manifesto, cheers BF

What a unique group they were. Definitely liked some of their stuff A LOT. Some not so much. Still they're another one of a kinder. I was looking in the audience to see if he had a big Afro Amercian following. London shmondon, there is only one Apollo theater, and that's in Harlem, at least as far as I'm concerned. Anyway, cool group. Many people have covered some of their songs. That tells you something right there.
'Editions of You' was fucking amazing. Although 'Out of the Blue' was great...and I'm hearing 'Virginia Plain' starting as I type this. So maybe I'll change my mind on the best one off of this video, haha. I'm really hoping they're gonna play 'Just Like You' - there doesn't seem to be any pro-shot footage of it outside at the 2007 gig - and the band is way smaller a that one. I wanna see it done big
Roxy Music All The Time, Any Time!!! They didn't play this song " If There Is Something", but it is worth hearing again... A line from the movie "Flashbacks Of A Fool" "How Fantastic Is This Song! How can you choose between Bryan Ferry and David Bowie? They're Gods!" My late husband Rodney introduced me to Roxy Music on November 8, 1975, I was already a Bowie Fan. It was the first time I heard "If There Is Something" My eyes teared up with this scene, as we used to do a similar act to the song "If There Is Something" ❤ There are so many Roxy Music songs to suggest. You've got a taste of their sound. Try "Oh Yeah" another song from "Flesh and Blood"
Wow mr @bryanferry Sung so beautifully ! 🥀 I love The Jealous guy song ! Is there also a version for the jealous girl ? 😂 Shivering, as always...❤🌹💫🧚♀️
Note: This is part 2! Bryan Ferry is joined onstage by original band members Phil Manzanera and Andy Mackay Paul Thompson and Chris Spedding for their first live show in 18 years ( ! ) Violin/keyboards: Lucy Wilkins Percussion/keyboards: Julia Thornton - My first thought that such old gang never could sound even better Now than before - Lots of classical songs. Roxy Music Better Now than ever! I was on Bryan Ferry's show in Gothenburg in the spring 2011 and he sounds great as usually I got another channel, with my own recordings of Bryan Ferry 2011 (and Ringo) I stood very close to Bryan.. th-cam.com/video/j13JnnCtSUc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=R1c4SWMr0Y2uZuhJ part 4 of 4 Enjoy! Is there anyone out there that has footage of a pre 2007 concert of Roxy Music or Bryan Ferry and was put up on the internet pre 2007 please. I am trying to track someone down here in Melbourne Australia that passed in 2007, he was a huge Roxy Music fan, we loved and lost each other because of others, his name was Ralph Joseph Konecny, he was living in a flat in St Kilda when he passed at only 44 years old. We loved each other through Roxy Music and I hold onto it now in 2024, I’ve never forgotten you Ralph, you were the spitting image of Mr Ferry and I’m sorry our love was torn apart. Hope someone out there can help me find out how Ralph lived his life after me.❤11 white roses are put on his grave every month now I found him, white roses are of eternal love and I put a Roxy Music song line on a card with one white rose at the head of his grave. I will never forget him, ever. Thankyou Roxy Music for your music that was our music, Ralph’s and mine. I loved you Ralph and always will, Sheree ❤️

Thanks for posting but . . . this is not the full concert. I have this Roxy Music DVD. I've played the shit out of it, to a point where I may have f*cked up the disc. Missing are some AMAZING performances such as "My Only Love" (incredible), "Avalon" and "Mother of Pearl" to name a few and full band introductions. Lucy Wilkens is playing the Brian Eno/Eddie Jobson role and she kills it. Her performance on "Out of the Blue" is terrific. Phil Manzanera and Chris Spedding crush it on the closing of "My Only Love" and that alone is worth the price of the DVD. Andy MacKay is Andy MacKay.👍🏻 I regret not having a chance to see Roxy Music, especially after watching this DVD. Unfortunately it is not available for download on iTunes or purchase from Amazon. For those who love Roxy Music and didn't get a chance to see them live, it's worth trying to hunt down the DVD for viewing.
this is what every concert should be. Great ensemble of great talents, in a perfect fusion of music and voice

I'm sixty four now ,but Roxy and Bryan Ferry makes me feel as young as when I first heard them.
Bryan Ferry & Roxy Music!! I'm in Heaven! Loved them in the 70's, still adore them. Life is blessed with them in it. Bravo Forever!!
Simply amazing! A one of a kind masterpiece of a band! Possibly the all time greatest band!!!
I used to sit on the beach and get really sentimentel over my lost love while listening to The Best of Roxy Music...it always soothed my broken heart.
How is it possible not to like this.
It's not!
My eternal thanks to Bryan,Phil,Andy and Paul for giving me over 40 years of fantastic music. My favourite is, "If There Is Something,".
me too
William John Burnett Yes, I saw them several times over the years and went along, almost reluctantly, to see them play in Birmingham on this reunion tour. Third song in they did 'If There Is Something', and all the memories came flooding back. It was superb, and so were they.
Brian Ferry and Roxy Music are like a fine wine Barolo ages more and more is good
Some music is classic as Bryan Ferry and Roxy, that will live forever ... ok, at least 500 years =)
In 2000 I was only three meters away from him and, I believe, for the split of a second his eyes rested benevolently on me, when he checked the crowd. I'm so glad that his music is there for me!

the very best .... Brian Ferry ..and Roxy still loved to this very day ..music still keeping up with the times doesn't age
I fancied him when I was just discovering what that meant and I still do in my middle-aged dotage! Bryan Ferry you rock me, still got it for sure. X
