- Presentación del disco "Avalon" de Roxy Music, publicado el 28 de Mayo de 1982, en el programa "Aplauso"; siendo la banda de Bryan Ferry introducida por Jose Luis Fradejas. El genial grupo británico interpretaría 3 temas: "More Than This, fue el primer y muy exitoso sencillo del grupo que sería nº1 de "Los 40 Principales". "Avalon" sería el segundo single del disco y se convertiría en otro de los grandes clásicos del grupo, una canción que sería la elegancia personificada. Por su parte, "Take a Chance With Me" era un temazo coescrito por Phil Manzanera, donde el genial guitarrista daba muestras de su enorme talento. Esta inolvidable formación se despediría con este maravilloso álbum, que precisamente era nº1 en el Reino Unido aquel 5 de Junio de 1982, creando un estilo único que Ferry heredaría posteriormente en su carrera en solitario...

Esa cuota tan importante que nunca pudo alcanzar, si lo hizo Bowie u otros que no tenían el talento vocal ni musical. Sin embargo, nada le quita todo el mérito.

They are all lipsynching! What's wrong with playing live on live t.v.? And who is that on drums?Ya Roxy got too tame but it's better than no Roxy.Still love them.
Lip syncing was required by many broadcasters due to restrictive musician union rules. In many cases “live” music could only be played on air by musicians under contract to the broadcaster. Therefore, when guest artists came on shows like this, lip syncing was the only option.
Some artists preferred miming to their record as it meant the audience would hear their hit properly. In many cases, these one-off performances were badly organized so getting a proper sound check was unlikely.
So that’s why you see so many TV appearances done as a lip sync. It’s still quick common today, but often acts will record a slightly different track for sole use on talk shows.

No he didn't meet Guy Pratt until early 1986, I am not sure who this is on the video.
I am not sure of the bass and drummers names but they also appear on Roxy Music's Avalon video with Marha Ladly.(from Martha and the Muffins) See also The Associates video for "Club Country" where they both played on Top of the Pops in 1982.
