I absolutely cannot wait to see the progress of your wonderful rewilding work. Yesterday I said goodbye to my friend Albie the White Park bull who has joined your herd, and his heavily pregnant girlfriend Ermintrude who went with him. While I will miss them both terribly, I can't think of a better, more caring and beautiful place for them to have gone. Pastures new. I feel I may have to take up yoga in earnest in order to come and visit them for a weekend. Please, Tom and Nestor, keep us updated with your charming and entertaining videos
@@davezoom2682 Excellent question, Dave ~ The beauty of regenerative farming, and rewilding is there are surpluses from the production of healthy nature and happy animals and people. I hope they answer you, as it is crucial for all to know the benefits in income and other results, true living, healthy, joyful, resilient living. If I learn the answer, I will let you know. Thank you for exploring how beautiful this can be, as we move in this positive direction as a country in the UK and the world. I have been at this for 20 years in Hawaii, and I am moving to the UK to grow these islands of sanity, as I call farms or land cared for regeneratively.
Who do you think own the estate? It's her husband family, which one day he lawfully inherit. He's the one who responsible, she IS the lady of the manor.
My heart wells up with gratitude and joy to see the work that you are doing to save, restore, and heal the land that you are stewards of. Our earth is so precious to us. There is no other like it that we know of. Rewilding what we can of it is healing for all of us, and the very best gift that we can give to everything. Thank you. Hope your work is greatly blessed! 🏞️👏😊🤸
One of the best things we can do is instill the mentality of preserving and cherishing nature onto our children. Its a shame more people don't come up with projects like these, especially those with ownership of massive plots of land. I applaud this plan and cant wait to see the results over the coming years, please make sure to share everything to do with this, extensively!!!
Greetings from Nairobi, Kenya. Rewilding, regenerating....... working with nature is the way to go. Many people now understand that working against nature hurts us in the long run and are now working with nature. I love that your young son is so enthusiastic about what you are doing. I cant wait to see how beautiful and plentiful and meaningful it will all turn out to be........a paradise. Please keep posting.

Amazing. Beautiful. Totally in full support of rewilding, were doing the same in Scotland so I hear. Weve destroyed the planet with modern day animal agriculture. We need to rethink everything and it gives me so much hope that people are making that change happen, slowly but surely. Every little helps.
We have ve a patch of land in France near our second house. We are leaving it completely to nature, but I noticed, that the fact that it is still grazed by a donkey, makes a wonderful piece of paradise. Walking around in it has become a dream, the buzzing of insects, the singing of birds, the smells of the herbs and the wide variety of flowers....
I love the rewilding!!! I have been reading about those efforts. We have even done that in North America. Very successfully. Oh how poetic, “they kiss the earth again with life”.
Bravo Luke. I can't wait to see the project unfold. Also the people that you are connected with, and the people that work at Mapperton are incredible. Again, enthusiasm plus the knowledge everyone has as far as their particular specialty. And I have learned so much. I'm serious. Thanks, guys
I’m excited about this. I bought land where everyone mowed every inch of their land and I’m letting more than half go back to natural with some management. Just love the birds and butterflies I get from wildflowers. I only mow in the fall once after goes to seed.
I am so impressed! I love that you took the time to explain the issue with the soil and your efforts to improve it! Thank you and can not wait to see it all happen!
Your property is breathtaking and what you and your family are doing towards rewilding is wonderful! Good on you! Can’t wait to see more videos on your progress. Thank you!
What a lovely family! Thank you for thinking about the environment in terms of your land use. I hope someday farms here in the States will learn from our English counterparts.
Yes, yes, yes! Must be careful with those pigs. They are extremely destructive. We have them bad in Texas, USA. I'm so excited for you all. Thank you. 🥰
Absolutely fantastic . Great to see the young boy so keen, how refreshing. I will follow this series and look forward to the development of the land. We have such beautiful land here in Dorset (I'm a fellow Dorset lad) and to see it more wild would be a great thing indeed.
Great job Gentleman, Nester I am especially proud of you, your confidence, eloquent presentation, and participation . Thank you and I look forward to more!
This is so fascinating. I can see so many marketing opportunities with environmental sensitivities. A highly rated US show, 60 Minutes just did a long segment on South East England's sparkling wine industry and how it is very successful. How wonderful to do a "explore the South Coast Mapperton to Hambleton" with photo safari to wine tasting ..." That's just great!
There are people in the US who use rotation of animals to fertilize the soil to bring back nature. JustinRhodes is a fairly new farmer who is doing quite well with permaculture. He has helped to form quite a community across the US to teach and learn. I’m excited for your plans.
We'll check out his work. Thank you for your comment, please consider subscribing (if you haven't already done so) for lots more about this project in the near future.
@@MappertonLive Actually, you have a compatriot that has been doing regenerative agriculture in Sweden. His name is Richard Perkins and he has a TH-cam channel and has written a couple of books. But Justin himself is a TH-cam storyteller and a relatively newbie farmer.
Fantastic idea. FILL IN THE FIELDS !! There are millions of acres of deforested fields that are no longer farmed that could be returned to their original state.
This is so valuable and exciting! So happy to see large estates in the UK rewilding. I live in a semi rural part of North Wales, right between the coast and Snowdonia national park, I have grown up around the wilds of the area, and now i am a keen natural gardener, so I appreciate the value of caring for our environment and the extraordinary landscapes in which we live. Thank you for using your money and position to help the earth heal. It is rare for the privileged to think that is also their responsibility to care for the environment.
Absolutely love this concept of rewilding the upper fields. Best of luck to you on this project. Love the concept of bringing your son into the mix and getting him excited about taking care of the estate early. So excited for you.

This is so exciting. Bring the land back to it's natural state, and provide habitat to wild species in such an intensely agricultural country is an admirable and necessary project. I'll be very interested to see more!
Nestor is just awesome. I swear you don't see kids like him here in America LOL! His enthusiasm and curiosity and JOY is just wonderful. I loved the Camera Trap video. The mink was great but Nestor was the "star".
Can’t wait to see more wildling of your land. Thank you for making such wonderful video! I am new subscribers. I cannot wait to watch more of your videos.
It's exciting to hear what you are doing to restore the land, not just trying to "turn a profit" with the manor house estate. So, from over here in the States, I'm sending what I believe is the appropriate British complement: "Good job you!" I'm really looking forward to hearing what the next steps in the process need to be, and how you will implement them.

What a great show. Nestor has a wonderful presence. He's a credit to his parents.
