    Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the adhesive so that it will be more pliable and easier to remove, and then use the plastic scraper to push/pull it off.

    use a card , like a gift card or a credit card to help you get that sticky stuff off instead of a knife . i used that with goo gone and it worked like magic !

    To make it faster next time try carburetor cleaner to take the adhesive tape out it works perfect on paint( not on plastic) it worts perfect and does NOT damage the pain. But never use it on plastic it eats the plastic.

    I'm about to do this to my M240 solo so I can install a carbon fiber roof wrap. It looks like the same procedure as I look at my antennae. Cleaning glue is probably the worst part about car mods. I thank you for the video sir.

      @KiesMotorsports  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea the glue is the worst part. Good luck!

    BMW recommends you use windscreen adhesive to reattach. This also means you don't have to worry too much about removing all the adhesive as the activator allows the material to bond on remnant sealant and it's also more secure.

      Daniel Hansens right! Windshield sealant is better. Tape is shit. I even used betalink back in last yr for reattchament. Saw leak yesterday... fxxk...

    Damn i wish this video was made before I did mine in the summer of 16 about 4 months too late haha I did the same for mine, i wasn't able to do a one piece on the fin, instead it was one piece but I wrapped it around the front and on the flat back piece I had to angle if just right but made a v in the wrap and made sure the edges were flush with each other, you couldn't tell unless you're right up on it. Nice job!!!

    Im just curious, if ur wrapping the roof anyways, y r u that worried about the paint? Especially the paint underneath the fin that will always be covered anyways? I mean okay I can understand if you're thinking of in the future if you take the wrap off how the paint would look underneath but wrap supposed to last at least a good few years right?

      Not if you use it correctly. Dont let it sit on your car for longer than you need and wash the area after using it. It will, however, strip the wax layer so you will need to rewax the body panel

      I don't believe so... it's often used to remove sap from the car. However it will of course take off wax (and likely those ceramic coatings).
