Yes! I don't expect them to cover all Eurythmics songs, or Annie's, but they should take a hint from the fans who know their work. Eurythmics has rocky, synth, rebellious, melancholic, elegant and delicate sides. Depending on the mood, pick a song. Since they are young, after 'Sweet dreams', 'Would I lie to you' would be an excellent choice. Not a cover Annie did, which is fine, but not the best route to take. Sorry for rambling, hard core Eurythmics/ Annie Lennox fan over here😆

Okay, so now you have to see Screamin’ Jay Hawkins - the guy who wrote this song in the 60’s. He was a fright!! A shock rocker before shock rock was thing. Spooky and hilarious at the same time and a damn good song writer.
The other thing I want to suggest is something called “The Wall of Sound” which was invented by Phil Spector (who’s crazy and is in prison for killing his girlfriend but never mind...) You can hear the wall of sound in Tina Turner’s River Deep Mountain High or in Darlene Love’s somg Christmas (any version from the Late Show where you can actually see musicians putting together the wall of sound. Well, that’s enough babble from an old lady! Love to. you kids!

I have always considered Annie Lennox a diva, when diva meant top of the class. I can't say a have a favorite from Annie or Eurythmics. 17 again, Angel playing with my heart, walking on broken glass, why, little bird, so many many more. I will say that after listening to her winter wonderland , I can't hear a different version without thinking of hers. Great in concert too. Was lucky enough to catch her and sting on the love your. Started to rain, stayed on stage and belted out here come the rain. Classic. Don't know if it was planned, it was so smooth and the rest of the stage members moved off to some cover. Sounds the same in concert, even better.

Just watched Jeff’s version. It’s very quiet and flat. The last 40 seconds he came to life for a second. KD Lang’s version gives me goosebumps and made me cry. Such a visceral reaction. Leonard Cohen’s version affects my soul. Such a great song that takes on different meaning or reaction based on who’s singing it.

I can't lie, the Nina Simone version of "put a spell on you" is the best, it sets shivers down the spine. No shade on Annie but for this song she just doesn't compare to the Queen.
