The fact that that's a real burst and the level of guitar playing especially the solo are so good, where else are you going to see real 1959 wood make that sound on stage anymore? Just Joe. Need to thank him for that.
This post is four years ago. Since then you must know Kirk Hammett regardless of what you think of him owns and plays on stage a real *famous* burst - "Greenie" that of course was Peter Green's LP (& G Moore's). No slight to JB but he will never be a Peter Green or Gary Moore, he will always be a great player but there's an element missing compared to guys like Peter and Gary (and Rory). Just my opinion as a long time player.🎸
@@cuda426hemi Much more recently, and much less frequently, yes Kirk played a burst on stage. Yeah but Gary was a piece of shit who bought Ronnie Montrose's stolen burst and kept it. He should have gotten the money back from the dealer and the dealer takes the loss that's how it legally works here. But nah Gary was POS and just kept Ronnie's stolen burst. So fuck Gary. Green, bruh, Green was so fucked up on LSD he couldn't pick up a guitar. For a while he was sick, but then he just took a shit. JB is not one of those classic assholes from the 70's. He's mad fucking cool, and honestly I would wager he knows more about music theory than Gary or Green. Modal uses in this solo were smarter than the average player and if you were an actual musician I think you'd at least see that. But yeah do you get the raw power of Green, no. But why compare? Usually people tear someone else down when they are threatened so, maybe you have an Epiphone or something idk man. Also Kirk is not as good of a guitar player as JB I'm sorry. He's good at his thing but, nah.
