This man fell into a full barrel of blues as a child...he didn't drown...he drank it up...to the last drop...
And preceded to vomit it back up, but somehow devoid of all the guts. He's a miracle worker.
...and then puts on that ridiculous looking suit.
@@ChiIeboy
Better than a hoodie and a pair of tennis shoes!
I think he can still Squeeze some out of the barrel 😁
My bud kevin had Joe play his first show at his restaurant whispers in Chadwick's plaza in his preteen if not single digit age.. been making mouths gape since... Utica may be a stain of a city some say but some seriously permanent marks made from the moe.hawk valley... Joe... Chuck Garvey, doc woods....grateful for Genesee Joe and the drive diggin on that rady
This guy stuns me. He plays basic blues stuff then suddenly explodes with pentatonic licks that just tears your head off! He never overplays those fast passages and he plays modal and whole tone sounds but never lingers there. He always centers back to the Blues. He is a blues player but has knowledge much beyond.
Oh yeah!!!
here is the man to take over the reins from clapton and page. Best in the world. I love him.
@@michaeldaddario1419 yup he and john mayer
@@michaeldaddario1419 replaced them years ago. A phenomenon

The POWER of an electric guitar !
The sexiest instrument ever made.
In the right hands.
This guy just exudes class, cool, and soul all at the same time.
AWESTRUCK! ❤
Well said. I’m in total awe of this guitar maestro! 😎👍🏽🎸
On "Just got Paid, I'd say Billy and Dusty would be proud ❤😮
He exudes asshole
Kind of disappointed when I see him these days, show up in a grungy flannel shirt and grimey baseball cap.
Seems all the classy guys,Tony MacAlpine, Greg Howe, Phil Sayce, Bonamassa, they put down their classy persona and revert to anonymous, graceless shlubs at the end of the day.
Joe Bonamassa is the Hans Edler of the blues
This man writes, arranges, and performs amazing stuff like this YEAR IN YEAR OUT - and on top of that, also sings pretty passably.
A throw-back to the 65-75 era - and an absolute Godsend to the audiences of the 2010’s and 2020’s.
God bless you, Joe. Never stop.
I loved Dazed and Confused guitar.
Don’t forget Red hot Chili Peppers- Don’t Stop.
What I love about Joe's live performances is how you can see he truly loves to play that instrument. You see the joy in his face and the way he smiles when the drums are kicking them back into the main riff. He's just a guitar nerd who loves what he does and is dedicated to the craft.
PRS Rocker very well said 👍🏽 seen Joe at Red Rock it was the most outstanding show I’ve ever seen in my life
Damn, what is there *not to love* about Joe?! As a musician, an artist, a musical alchemist, a freakin’ craftsman...a human being with integrity, generosity and transparency in a genre that as time passes lacks so many of these qualities.
My world has been a better place for decades with this man in my life.
Amazing 😍❤️
So true

Man the entire band is just phenomenal. Joe is an absolute monster on the guitar!!!!
This guy is from another planet
Greatest guitar player alive today!!!
Absolutely incredible what JB does!!
See him live !!
It will change your life!!
How fulfilling it must be to attend a concert where everything is live...in the moment..and real! No autotune, no lip syncing...no distractions..just pure musicianship.. delivering it as it is! JB is a guitar god! The band is always top of the line for him too!
His show is outstanding! Seen in Fargo a few years ago. First half of the show was all acoustic. Opened with "Woke up Dreaming "
Second half the whole band came out and proceeded to rip our heads off! What a rush!
Damn, nearly speechless. His guitar playing is just incredible but also his vocals. I would kill to sing like that.
Me and my wife can’t wait to see him in march in Cherokee North Carolina it will be our second show and I have truly enjoyed my bonamassa gold top les Paul
I thunk the greatest alive ! The tone and the swing !
Just awesome. Who else enjoyed this? and that Whitesnake piece in the middle of the song?? Wow!!
Very different styles tho
Heels yusss!! Whitesnake gem.
Bit of Billy Cobham - Stratus too. Then Zeppelin obviously. Class
The Led Zep bit was awesome
Yesssss. John Sykes!
His aura, showmanship and most importantly his ability to play. What a legend. Criminally underrated guitarist
I've always been a heavy metal guy. Got to see Joe in Davenport, Iowa. He is by far my favorite artist. I'm just blown away. I'm a Tool enjoyer.
How can you not appreciate Joe Bonnamassa?!? He's one of the worlds most brilliant musicians ⭐👌 Love you Joe!! 💖💖💖
It blows my mind how many haters there are. They go as far as to call him talentless and boring.....I just do not get this. The live performances he and his bands put on are incredible. Are these people for real? Or are they just hating because he is better than any of their own favorite musicians? That's the only thing that could make sense......
Top of the stack. Born in 77. Can play anything but plays the blues " because it just knocks people out".
Gods given talent. Thank you Lord.
Watched this a thousand times, and it still gives me chills.
Just 'bout to after my first viewing! I wanted to see him in New Orleans several years ago and missed out, sadly. I now live in Europe and perhaps he'll perform here soon! A friend in Wakefield, England , turned me on to him & WOW!

Way to kill -it Joe !!
I have probably watched this jam 300 times and it still moves me like the first time I heard it. Joe, I cannot wait to see you live!
the joe bonamassa in this video, shows a passage of blues and rock in a few minutes. His masterful picking demonstrates his passion for good riffs and good solos. A dash of Jimi Hendrix, BB KING, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Whitesnake, Stevie Ray Vaughan, even Black Sabbath was honored in these moments of pure musical magic. Joe Bonamassa is a string master. He deserves the success he has.
At 08:30 the solo is from Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin, can you identify the others?
@@LauroMarcelo1972 yea 4:47 is still of the night and 6:51 is stratus by billy cobbham, the riff he plays in the beginning is i aint superstitious
Where are you hearing all those other people? There are no traces of bb, jimi, srv, Aerosmith, or sabbath in this
@@knightfall9394There is a Sabbath riff between about 5:00 and 5:30.
The tone is dripping from that guitar. Bro save some for the rest of us!
Just get a 50s reissue with Burstbuckers.
He's playing vintage gear.... So awesome he doesn't just hang it on a wall...
the fact that he threw the bridge section of still of the night in was so clean.
I caught that. Gave me chills.
First time watching this just now...when he hit that bridge my jaw practically hit the floor. Words can't even describe how cool that was
I wish I could like this video 50 times!!! So many great influences in this song, but there could be only ONE, JOE BONAMASSA!!!!!
I've been playing guitar since I was 13, how did I just now run across this guy!? Instantly a new favorite of mine
That may be the best sounding guitar I have ever heard.
Mind blowing. For someone who works so hard and is so incredibly talented, he deserves more credit and recognition. Phenomenal. Keep it up Joe!!!
Seventh Sway thats what happens when u play the guitar for 36 years lol
absolutely bloody awesome.
¡Exelente Maestro!
Well said
What are you talking about? He gets a ton of credit and recognition! Guitar players already know this
Simply the greatest guitarist in the world period..
Joe this single performance truly cemented you as one of the greatest players of all time!! It will be watched for many generations to come! 🙏🙏🌎
Uuumm...if anybody ever asks me, this album is one that I would require as one of the 10 albums in my solitude on that desert island.
That drummer tho!!!!!!!!!!!!😎
Dude is such a gift to the guitar world. Thanks, sir!

And his Dad played , but no one’s ever heard him ! Joe is Red Hot ! He said Dads not very technical! Ha ha
Why these dark glasses?. He is magic.
@@mortenbrixpedersen2964 Stage lights hurts his eyes. HIs statement not mine. Happens to a lot of performers. I think Roy Orbison was the first one I saw wear dark glasses on stage. Lights hurt his eyes too.
I love how he incorporates “Dazed and Confused “ into the song. A great way to pay homage to your heroes!!!
And I heard a little Jeff Beck.
mano a mano Yea that badass intro to I Ain’t Superstitious
Dont tell me Joe threw some Mule into that middle jam before the Whitesnake
And Still of the Night by Whitesnake
Not only that, but teases the whole thing before it finally pays off too.

I just saw him in Tuscon last night for the first time and I left in awe of this guy’s seamless mastery of the instrument, plus he’s a true pro and loves his audience

@@JamminJoe1 Close, but no cigar. Seen them both play together and Joe can outplay him every time. And you can see it on Erics face, he knows he can't match Joe lick for lick.
I mixed monitors for him once when he first went out as a solo artist. they were still lugging around in a van and carrying their own gear in and out. Instruments only. We talked the local guy who was first starting a traditional blues festival in it's third year i believe into booking him. none of the old traditional guys really cared for him. Felt he didn't pay his dues. lol Man did he oil spot those guys who are still by the way lugging around in vans after decades. He is also a very nice guy and very respect full to others. He by passed the traditional way and did his own marketing which I'm sure played a big part in his success. He is not only one the best guitarist alive but he is a marketing genius.
he is not the best guitarist alive for sure, i dig him, really do, he is in the top guys for sure, but THE best is over the top, i think he would say the same if you compared him to clapton and warren and the rest of his idols and friends... that being said, marketing that his team does is brilliant, just for comparison take him and richie kotzen, kotzen is just as good, if not better, but is far less known because he lacks good team on that part which has less to do with music, but more with business... cheers to you and happy holidays :)
Nonsense when has Clapton ever played like this ? 3:45 . @@alenspikic4523
KEEPING THE BLUES ALIVE.....THANK YOU...JOE...!
The white snake bit In the middle really steals it lol
Wow!!!…. Just WOW!!! I wasn’t expecting that from “just” a Blues Guy!!!!!
He is truly a Virtuoso… and he doesn’t disappoint!!!!
Holy shit that was effing EPIC!!!!!!!!
wow a god ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Breathless... harmonics... can hardly breathe... No wonder Bonamassa is called a "guitar virtuoso." No won else deserves that title after hearing this!
This is the best version year, Joe! ZZ Top who? Love you Gibbons!
Dude’s band is absolutely absurd. They oooze deep grooves. Just incredible. And, yea, Joe friggin KILLS it.
He is something else. Love the suit and glasses. It’s like a Men in Black shows up - and starts next level shredding!!
He reminds me of Agent Smith in The Matrix ;D. I’ve seen him live yesterday (Nuremberg), it was so cool.
Cool White snake tribute , Led Zep tribute as well ,during the incredible solo. Joe Bonamassa is a gentleman and has surpassed the greats - clean playing with variations in style and wonderful sounds -he can do it all. Great musicianship by all
thank-you
finally someone that agrees with me. he is better than the rest. no one better.
@anthonyhi. He’s up there with them but not better.It ain’t a sport.
What's the whitesnake song?
@@IITexassucksIIStill of the night, the riff is from the breakdown starting at the 2 min mark onwards.
John Sykes would appreciate the shout out. Awesome!!
Bravo …🤘👏👏🤘
IF THIS DOESNT GET YOUR HEART PUMPING,GO SEE A HEART SPECIALIST!!!!
I think he is the the best underrated guitarist of all time. Personally 🤯 🤘
His voice is perfect for this song. I am convinced that even if he couldn't play a guitar, he's still be in demand as a singer.
Why? I think he sounds like hes whispering with his tongue stuck in the back of his throat. Amazing guitarist, but he should work with actual singers.
Looking at this video’s date to remember that it was 9 years ago or so that Joe Bonamassa blew the doors off of the Royal Albert Hall. What a medley-from Billy Gibbons to Jimmy Page and back-2 powerhouse Blues-Rock players!! Thank you, Joe!
I saw Joe and the Band back in 2019 at the Chicago Theater and it was definitely a highlight of all my concert experiences. I walked away from that show saying "I've never in my life seen someone play a guitar THAT hard". He really is one of the best to ever play the game!
one of the greatest guitar players of our time
Days are always better with a little Joe! Thank you!!!!!
Has anyone even heard a bad song from Joe? I haven't. Just solid jam after solid jam. I look forward to every one of them.
Very true.

J B is the Best, the one that I always wanted to find an I found him!!! I'm 65 an Loving it!!! God Bless, Michie Sanders Chattanooga TN., My favorite of all times!
Nice ZZ top cover ! The solo sounded like Eric Johnson in parts and the very beginning you played something that sounded just like Jeff beck's and rod Stewart's ain't superstitious !!! I also heard some white snake and a whole bunch of other stuff and then of course the jimmy page theremin thing and some country stuff too perhaps !!! By the way I agree with you about the jimmy page comments he is one of the best he's why I started playing guitar when I was 12 him and beck and Hendrix and Billy gibbons and Elvis Presley and many more !!! nice dazed and confused you did there !!! Page is one of the all time greats playing and recording for sure !!! Plus I love srv and Jeff Healey and all the old blue's greats too of course and two gals who tear it up Bonnie raitt and that faster song , blonde short haired gal !!! I'm sure there's a ton of people I've left out because there are so many great guitarists and singer's I could never list them all !!! & unfamous , not known guitarists and singer's too as well out there everywhere !!!
This is freakin' amazing. And in the last 6 years since this was recorded Joe has continued to improve. He is easily the best Blues Guitarist/Performer alive today.
Easily?... I hate when people say that shit, there's lots of great guitarist. Just say he's my favorite instead of he's EASILY the best..
ABOLUTELY
@@spiderreed350 - I cannot argue that there is some personal preference in my statement... I'd be willing to take the "easily" out of that statement. But he is the most successful blues performer in the history of recorded sound. Joe holds the record for most #1 Albums of ANY music group or person at 25! That is 25 #1 albums on the Billboard Blues chart.
I've bee going to concerts for 45 years and am a huge Blues fan. I've seen nearly every great Blues player that was alive for me to see. I've seen Joe B 5 times 14 years. Now 14 years ago, Joe was not this good. He's been better every new time. There are some up and comers that may some day challenge Joe, but that's a ways dow the line! Cheers
