- Taylor Walker has kicked a career-high 10 goals in his 250th match in Adelaide’s record-breaking 122-point demolition of West Coast.
Walker became just the fourth Crow to boot 10 goals in a game in the 27.12 (174) to 8.4 (52) romp at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.

As a WCE fan I can confirm this was the tactics the entire time *cough cough*
Tex was always going to have a day out when I saw their line up. There starting six defenders out. Then on top of that other guys could play tall back there Rotham HEdwards and Jamieson. The defence was underdone and would have lacked cohesion. I'd like to see stats about how effective th Crows were with goals from forward entries. I would have thought it was elite. Midfielders and forwards had to be pushed back to defence causing problems elsewhere.
What a champion! Plays his best game ever in his 250th game. Pure magic. Good on you Tex. Don't go to the football but on Sunday happened to go to the Cremorne Hotel and there was Tex with family and friends celebrating. I grabbed the opportunity to tell him, "wonderful game, mate".

Another interesting fact is that West Coast scores exactly 13 points in each quarter in their Round 13 clash against Taylor Walker, who wears number 13.

I remember being at the WACA when EAgles thumped them. I think Cumming got 14 goals that day. One year he got 14 in a game. Another time 10.
I was at this game. But it was only 114 points.

Even though I’m not a West Coast supporter, I agree. I still remember how the Eagles performed in 2001… and then look at what they did in 2006. Also, we can’t forget the Eagles of 2008-2010… and then look at what they did in 2018. Being a Carlton supporter, I’d much rather see my team finish on the bottom for a few seasons and then end up winning the premiership a few years later… instead they stay on the bottom forever 😢

They only had 25 players available for the game. Young Barnett missed the game. Another 18 year old Academy player played in the reserves. No one else was available. All starting six defenders out. Then also other guys that could play tall down back. So I knew it would be a massive loss. They rushed back 4 this week, or they wouldn't have had enough players to field a team. But those guys were underdone. Eagles haven't traded any players out. The guys in the early mid 20s aren't as good. So they've tried to go all out with kids, while keeping the older guys to help out. That's the reality of it. I think we get another 4 back after the bye.
@Rob S One problem, is that Eagles supporter base is so significant that even if they drop by 50% its still more than some other clubs. Plus some viewers are sadists!
I think the EAGLES need Malthouse back for next season haha I'd love to see that happen good old MICKEY🤪🤣

The Eagles threw the game. Even the Eagles women's team could have played better. Only difference between Eagles and a fork now is that even a fork has four points!

The AFL should disolve the eagles like they did to Fitzroy and let any decent young players go over to the new Tassie team. It is obvious that there is not enough talented guys who can play footy at AFL standards and Perth has room for only one AFL team.
Perth needs 3 teams. What planet are you on. Tassie won't get a team because they're too stupid arguing over a stadium.

@@jackwitcombe765 Last year Covid and injuries were a blessing in disguise for us. It convinced club to go into a full rebuild and they got a lot of talent in. Then this year its even games to kids (though they have been injured unfortunately) and given exposure to other players that clearly aren't up to it. So they'll be moved on and the kids have the experience. And we'll get the early draft picks for a few more years. All good.
