Glock Armorer here. The Glock actually has THREE safeties. All 3 are disengaged by pressing the trigger. I believe you are trying to say Glock has no MANUAL safety (all 3 are "passive safeties") Your friend that fired his weapon by striking the back of the hammer was most likely carrying a series 70 1911 with the hammer down on a live round OR a revolver without a transfer bar of some kind. A Glock is perfectly safe to carry with a round chambered but if you don't want to, don't. Your gun Your choice. Mine'll stay hot 👍
The glock actually has 3 safety features
Glocks are drop safe especially with stock parts. Always carry one in the chamber, remember the four basic rules and train, train, train.
As a highly trained CCW holder for 40 years, if there's not one in the chamber, you my as well be carrying a stick. I get your point, but when you buy a gun for protection and hunting, you need to train, train and train so you are familiar with your firearm. Accidents can and do happen but I have to disagree with you on this matter. If you're not comfortable with one in the chamber, you probably should not be carrying. Even though I disagreed with you, I did like and subscribe!
I disagree about carrying one in the chamber. In a gunfight fractions of seconds matter.

Haven't used nitro solvent in years, tend to use non-toxic cleaners from Breakthrough.

Thank you! The glock 20 is hard to beat, they're reliable and tough! And thats exactly right! I say not to have one in the chamber for the record number of first time gun buyers we've had the last year. A little experience goes a long way haha I had a buddy in tree work once tell me "the most dangerous thing of all is not knowing that what your doing is dangerous" he was talking about climbing trees, but it stuck with me

Glock throws every new model out a helicopter loaded at 100 meters. Unless the trigger bar safety was pressed somehow or there was improper modification done to the firearm. If you accident drop it? Let it fall.
Glock have exactly 3 safeties if you did not know that. The trigger safety is just one of the 3.
Strongly disagree with not carrying with one in the chamber. Modern firearms. Just don’t go off by themselves. It just doesn’t happen. If you have a quality holster. It’s totally safe.
Great video, very useful. I think its a good idea to clean out that firing pin channel with pipe cleaners with rubbing alcohol, my understanding is that can get very gunky and cause light primer strikes if not addressed. I really like your Glock 20 content, its a very good gun and quite interesting in all the things the gun can do.
As far as the Condition zero guys go, its time to be realistic. One, draw speed is the least critical aspect of CCW. Yeah you've seen videos on John Correia's site, but those guys were behind the curve from the getgo. There is a recent video with the title "Can Navy Seals convice a Green Beret to switch" or something, a fairly well known firearms instructor who was a Green Beret takes instruction from two ex SEALS on the SIG pistol. Key takeaways:
1. Even with open carry on a friendly range his split time was between 1.1 to .97 seconds, meaning even he can't outdraw the drop. 2. The Glock is MUCH MUCH SLOWER than a SIG, double action revolver, or other DA/SA autoloader because of trigger prep. This is nothing new, its been known since the 1920s that prepping the trigger right to the break as the gun is pointed towards the target in combination with point shooting is the fastest in close confines. Glock and other striker fired pistols are the wrong gun for speed. 3. Training is not a realistic answer for average gun owners as they lack both time and money to train to SEAL levels, it only takes one moment of carelessness in reholstering to have a ND. 4. Other skills such as awareness, avoidance, etc. are more important given limitations on time and money for training.

There is not enough light for viewers to see what you're doing when working with the small parts (extractor, firing pin, etc.) that you were pulling out and later reassembling.
GUN SAFETY RULE #1 ALWAYS ASSUME THE GUN IS LOADED/CHAMBERED. whether it has a safety or no safety. ALWAYS ASSUME THE GUN IS LOADED/CHAMBERED. with that in mind, i always keep one in the chamber. if your gun has a safety, practice practice practice. you dont want to be in a situation where every second counts and you forget to switch off the safety.

Lack pf knowledge, learn the names of your parts to be better understood, no one is gonna wannna listen to the guy who doesn't know his correct part names like the striker, the extractor depressor, and the safety plunger, the depressor comes out the rear same as the striker, the safety plunger comes out the bottom thats the little button, and also the pull down parts to take slide off are called takedown tabs
