Anybody who follows us knows how transparent we are, almost to a fault. It occurs to me though, that this video might appear to somebody to be a stealthy ad for KKM barrels, especially since I do not normally replace Glock parts. As always, we'd let you know if we were supported by them or if we even got a free barrel from them. As I mention in the video, I just wanted to be able to shoot any sort of heavy hard cast bullet in this pistol, and you really want an aftermarket barrel for that. I'll leave my stock barrel in my G20 Gen 3. I just did a little Googling around to find out what aftermarket barrels seem to get a lot of respect. Nothing wrong with Long Wolf or others, but I just thought I'd try KKM since I'd never had one, so I bought one. As long as it stays reliable, as it has thus far, I'll probably leave it in the pistol.
On replacing parts . in CA that gun would be legal if mag wasnt double stacked . why dont manufacturers just change mags instead of CA compliance guns ?
I'm from Alaska, I got one last fall during the winter bought a bunch of aftermarket parts, kkm barrel, heavy tungsten guide rod, trigger from zev technologies, skeletonized firing pin with ti-nitride coating, steel night sights, billet stainless steel ejector, extended controls kit, and gen 4 steel pin kit Now waiting for it to warm up to take it out and test my new setup

People in Alaska who have experience in bear encounters learned that it was not just about packing the biggest, baddest, most powerful handgun. Sometimes you have only seconds to defend against a bear charge, and you have to get hits on target quickly. Big bore handguns may give you one shot before a bear is on you because of the recoil difficulty in getting a sight picture back for a followup shot. The balance between power and controllability is found in 10mm. It's very manageable and not difficult to get successive shots on target very quickly (as demonstrated by Hickok 45 in this video).
I'm from Alaska, and every member of my 7-person family owns a 10 mm Glock 20 for bear protection. Can't go wrong with Glock, and with Buffalo Bore you have no better chance at taking down a grizzly bear especially with such small a package. Highly recommend - lightweight, reliable, and can really pack a punch! Nice review.

I lived in Fairbanks back when the Glock 20 was new. I was just starting out and bought the cheapest "bear" gun I could find, a Taurus 44 magnum (Moose are also a serious concern)... I trained a lot with the Taurus and was pretty good with it. Luckily never had to use it in anger. Later in life I had enough disposable income to buy a Gen 3 and a S&W 610. Put a mag extension on your 10mm and it is an easy decision to carry in bear country vs. a super powerful revolver with only 5 or 6 round capacity. 10mm for the woods, 9mm for the 'hoods.
I finally bought one for when I'm up in northern Ontario . With the upgraded barrel I feel very safe against Black Bear. We don't have Grizzlies there but I love it . I only bought it after your endorsement as I always do

I wanted a 10mm for years. When the G40mos came out I had to have one. I added a Lone Wolf threaded barrel (6.6") a RMR, Silencerco Octane and Endo mount with a Blade. What a monster!
I hope when I read this comment over one year from now we all will be a live an doing well. Thanks for giving som distraction during this Corona crisis. Greetings from the Netherlands!!!
Hope you survive next year's seasonal flu. And that common cold, or that strep throat or those really long stairs, alot of people fall down those things and die every year. No more assault stairs now.
I have all of the Glock 10mm models available in Gen4 and put KKM Precision barrels in the G20 and G29. They are amazing! KKM will cut you whatever size barrel you would like depending on how long their stock piece is at no extra charge. They also offer a 7" barrel for the G40. I have yet to purchase one for the G40 because it shoots absolutely perfect right out of the case. No modifications necessary. Great video as usual hickok45! Thank you!
I've been watching for years and I know you mention distances of the targets from time to time but would you ever consider putting up permanent yard markers indicating a few target distances (like the gong, the animals, and the swinging targets)? Sometimes the distances are difficult to appreciate from the video. Well done videos and a joy to watch. Thank you.
I just watched his range tour 2 video I don’t think he mentions the distance of all the targets but I’m pretty sure he says the gong is 80ish yards away. So I always use that as a reference. I’d say the plate rack is 15ish yards away. I’d would be cool to know exact distances tho.
Many many things can be a “weapon” Or used as a “weapon”. A Firearm ☝️ is a tool that may be used as weapon if needed. Hopefully, you’ll be able to have the firearm/s you want some day.
Just got my G20, an Alpha Wolf threaded barrel, 6 magazines, 300 rounds of HP and hard cast Underwood, and a Diamond D Guides Choice shoulder system. I’m all set for the woods! Nice video!
have a 10mm I carry for some time, not a glock, springfield xdm, but love it, love the caliber. Dont see why this caliber does not in todays world, gain more popularity.
Wow watching that 10mm rip through that cinderblock was bananas! The G20 had the same effect the .357 magnum had (80 year anniversary video). I've shot a G40 before it was wicked cool with the long slide and barrel but the G20 looks awesome.
I have watched you for years, you have the ultimate integrity. Great honest information, absolutely unbiased. Keep up the great work. I have the same rig with same components and results. When I bought my 20 I bought many boxes of 180/200/& 230 grain gas checks. The KKM is IMO the correct ticket. I too do not alter any firearm components. The 10 is a bit different however. The sheer power demands a tad more supported chamber. That is not to say that I have not shot my various hard cast through the stock barrel. But the 230 bang a bit harder so KKM is the correct choice. I do not alter the gen 4 spring however it works just fine. Thanks again for the gentleman’s approach and great attitude.
Why are there any thumbs down..there’s many ways to do a gun review...and Hickok45 is a reliable honest reviewer, and the best thing is he is a great proponent of 2A......and represents the gun enthusiast with class!!
Wow, I've watched quite a few videos regarding guns and ammunition but have to say you stand-out to me for your skills, down-to-earth demeanor, talking points, and honesty.
Each video gets better than the next! I've been following this fine channel since 2009. Love it! We have had numerous Bear sightings here in Connecticut. I think it's time for a Glock 20! Great shooting and humor as always! Thanks!
Every time you shoot soda bottles, I'm reminded of that scene from "The Jerk" where the guy is trying to kill Steve Martin and he screams, "Stay away from those cans! He hates those cans!"
Great vid, as always. I'm seriously thinking about a 10mm. You've turned my attention to the G-20. I like it's capacity and beaver-tail. Don't like it's all composition frame. I'm also watching the full-metal frames. Ty.
He did me that way once when I was searching for a Pedersoli Colt Lightining rifle clone. Turns out,He talked me out of it and I saved that $ 1200.00. But then about a week later, after watching a vid on his Marlin Cowboy Limited, One just happened to show up at the LGS In 44mag in a 24 " bbl. It now lives in my safe.
You're my favorite gun TH-camr! Thank you for making these videos. They're so helpful. I recently purchased a Glock 20 along with an Alpha Wolf barrel, Underwood Xtreme Hunter & Hard Cast Flat Nose, and a Kenai chest rig for protection against bears & big cats! Excited to start going camping & hiking with this new woods gun setup once everything comes in :)
This guy in the video claims that his G29 10mm glock had a problem after 200 shots to the firing pin. He also said that the G20 is the same thing too. Do you have finishing issues after 200 photos? 9:36 pm to 11:40 pm of your video "Glock G29 em 10mm - Review Completo"
Late comment, but I love the channel. I've rediscovered shooting as my socially distant hobby in the pandemic and you're always out there showing me different things to try. I appreciate you.
Yes. We do carry 10mm here in Alaska. Gotten to be fairly popular. Who doesn’t like 15 rounds versus 6? I have been carrying 44 mag or 41 mag, but recently switched over. I have had some folks tell me they have been sending hard cast through the factory supplied barrel with no problems, though I too will be upgrading it.
I live in Alaska. 10 is king up here. Good balance of round count vs power. Chest holster with 2 extra mags, 45 rounds on your chest. Ive had countless turn-the-corner bear interactions and so far ive been lucky and theyve always ran the other way. G40 with a kkm 7incher lives on my chest. KKM has never once jammed. Hundreds and hundreds of reloads. Ive bought 3 barrels from them. Id like to visit that place in nevada and see the operation. All three barrels have been Imperfection free masterpieces.
90% of my Glocks have KKM barrels including my every day carry. Never had an issue after 10's of thousands of rounds. KKM has been 100% reliable with a little better accuracy than stock barrels. Been shooting Glocks for 3 decades and started buying KKM barrels about 12+ years ago.
You guys rock, I bought the Glock 20 gen 4 based on your review and you are spot on. This is a great gun stock out of the box. The only upgrade I would recommend is the Truglo tfo, they are awesome.
One thing I have have learned during this quarantine time is that it’s great to have or know someone who has land. Been enjoying my friends compound in Mississippi shooting and riding dirt bikes during this time 👍🏼
Hickok 45 has become my Gun "Godfather" lol I love the videos the info the shooting the show almost feels like getting together with old friends to hang out and catch up on the newest firearms. That magic is somethimg a show either has or doesnt have. You can't create it it just has to feel right.Great job guys keep up the great work.
As a new gun owner, be careful and be sure to PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! research what loads to use for personal defense, no one solution is right for everyone.
Hickok must be a mind reader. I was literally just looking at glock 20 videos yesterday. Thinking about getting one. Today this video pops up, must be a sign.
I just recently got this gun and honestly haven’t shot it I wanted to watch a Hickock review on it before keeping it or not. Now that I have watched your review and your approval on the gun I am keeping it, and taking it to the range, thank you 🙏
I think this would be my ideal woods/camping gun as well. Best combination of light weight, power, capacity, and resistance to weather exposure. As much as I love my vintage, mid-80's blued Delta Elite, it's not a gun I'd take into the damp woods for extended periods of time.
You will not be disappointed in a Glock, however check out Springfield XDM 9mm out. Springfield offers package deals like 3 extra mags holster. And I have to say they edge out Glock in machine work "fit and finish" such as polished feed ramp match grade Barrell etc. And the XDM holds 20rounds and is not a huge gun. This is coming from a Glock fan. Take care.
Hickok reminds me a lot of my father. He too loved his firearms especially the old lever guns. He was also 7 feet tall and made a Glock 19 look Derringer sized.
I have several barrels made by Lone Wolf. Some people do not like them but I am unaware as to why? I also have purchased a few of the EFK Fire Dragon dual recoil spring and guide. That is how I have basically brought my 3rd gen almost up to a gen 4. I also have a ton of magazines for my G20. I added night sights with yellow and orange. I also have added a Strike Industries slide cover plate with push button easy removal. And the barrels I have that work with the G20 are a .357 Sig, 40 S&W , 9mm Dillon, and of course several 10mm Barrels. One is a NM compensated extended barrel. I am not a Glock fan however. I just happen to believe the G20 is the best option for 10mm . I am glad the 10mm is making a comeback. When the 10mm first came out I purchases a Bren Ten which I still own . Then I purchased a S&W 1006 which I wish I still owned. And of course I owned a Colt Delta in 10mm which I no longer have. Dang it! I got super lucky with my Bren Ten and have 6 WORKING magazines which are extremely hard to find. The Bren Ten feels super good in my hands. Feels so much like my CZ-75. But once again the G20 just makes so much more sense then the rest including the Springfield which I am one of the few who absolutely hate the XDM and also do not like the S&W M&P's .. like I said, one of the few.
Just picked one of these babies up, I'm in love with it. And another thing we should know, if it's hickok approved there should be a certificate of approval for every gun someone buys he's reviewed so they know they're getting a good gun.
I've been wanting a 10mm for years after watching early hickok45 videos. Got a glock 20 gen 4 and used lucas gun oil before putting a box of 50 magtech 180g fmj through it in 6 to 7 rounds at a time to not get it super hot. sweet shooting, everything cycled smooth. recoil was not bad at all almost in a bad way lol i was expecting a little more. cleaned it real nice with hoppes #9 cleaner then finished with the lucas oil. you'll want to keep shooting this thing!
I'm happy to see ads appearing again on your videos, and those of other gunners. The market seems to have gotten some sense back. I try to click on each and every one.
Storm Lake barrels, pretty sure I ordered it from Midway. I guess there are many guys that shoot 40 through there 10mm barrel but it’s debatable whether it will hurt it or not.
I really like my Glock 20, it's a magnificent beast. It became my absolute favorite handgun from the very first time I shot it. I like it even more than my .44 mag because I like the feel of that upward snap.
underwood penetrators in all my guns I use for moose/bear I use them in my 10mm Glock and my .44 magnums and all my weapons, if it can penetrate 3 inches of Lexan armor and keep moving in 10mm then it will be my ammo of choice, from a hunter in Alaska, merry Christmas!
I am in Georgia and I can shoot in my backyard legally. But, the home owners association hates it and has rules. bastards. But, can still go to the GA mountains and there are open ranges. It is a one hour long drive. planning to go soon.
I bought a Glock 33 in .357 Sig and decided to convert it to .40 caliber, so I bought a Lone Wolf barrel in 40 and I have a Glock 23 so I use the Glock 23 mags with a sleeve and it works great. Nice and accurate.

Worked at a gun shop in Alaska and sold a lot of these guns. I was told that 10mm could take down a brown bear in 3 shots which is impressive!

Blake Wheeler so true I have both G20 & G29 in 10mm and love them both
I wanted a 10mm for years. When the G40mos came out I had to have one. I added a Lone Wolf threaded barrel (6.6") a RMR, Silencerco Octane and Endo mount with a Blade. What a monster!
I love when I can look up a specific gun and his channel pops up with a review ✊🏾✊🏾
That poor cowboy gets a round in the dingle dangle every video. Talk about resiliency.
Hickok45 has Neil Peart's singular devotion to accuracy.

My favorite semi auto hand gun! What a gun and round. Even got a 10mm conversion barrel for my Glock 21 gen 4.
Smart, I use a Storm Lake .40S&W converted barrel in my Gen 4 model 20. I sold it in 2019, but might buy a NIB gen 5 20 or 40 MOS later on.
Glock 20 factory barrel drops right in the 21, change spring and magazine and you're good to go.
G21 to 10mm conversion best way to go it's a two for one, no brainier !
I hope when I read this comment over one year from now we all will be a live an doing well. Thanks for giving som distraction during this Corona crisis. Greetings from the Netherlands!!!
Hope to see you then, stay safe!
Hope you survive next year's seasonal flu. And that common cold, or that strep throat or those really long stairs, alot of people fall down those things and die every year. No more assault stairs now.
Same to all of you.
Stop watching the news, it's not the end of the world, lmao

Oh man, the simplicity of this gun is just beautiful. If I ever owned a weapon I would go with this one.
Wait, you don't own a weapon?
Start off wit a 17 or a 19 if you want a Glock, it’s harder to get 10mm bullets. At least where I’m from
I have all of the Glock 10mm models available in Gen4 and put KKM Precision barrels in the G20 and G29. Thank you!
Yep, I have a KKM 4.5 inch for my G29
I've been watching for years and I know you mention distances of the targets from time to time but would you ever consider putting up permanent yard markers indicating a few target distances (like the gong, the animals, and the swinging targets)? Sometimes the distances are difficult to appreciate from the video. Well done videos and a joy to watch. Thank you.
I just watched his range tour 2 video I don’t think he mentions the distance of all the targets but I’m pretty sure he says the gong is 80ish yards away. So I always use that as a reference. I’d say the plate rack is 15ish yards away. I’d would be cool to know exact distances tho.
and really a beautiful weapon, I would like very much that in Brazil we had the freedom to carry weapons, I envy that of you Americans a lot.
May you have that freedom someday, my friend❕
Thank You! I only wished more Americans appreciated what a special “freedom” it is ...
Haaaaaa, not for long. They're trying to take that "freedom" away from us 😕🤧
Many many things can be a “weapon” Or used as a “weapon”.
A Firearm ☝️ is a tool that may be used as weapon if needed.
Hopefully, you’ll be able to have the firearm/s you want some day.

I’ve been waiting for some Glock 20 reviews for a while. Thanks!!
Just got my G20, an Alpha Wolf threaded barrel, 6 magazines, 300 rounds of HP and hard cast Underwood, and a Diamond D Guides Choice shoulder system. I’m all set for the woods! Nice video!
I love my G20SF in 10 mm, carried in my Diamond D chest holster. Great shooting as always.
I want to get a Glock 20 and also get a .50 GI conversion kit for it as well
have a 10mm I carry for some time, not a glock, springfield xdm, but love it, love the caliber. Dont see why this caliber does not in todays world, gain more popularity.
It is gaining more popularity, but mostly as bear defense
It's getting to be the better all around hunting carry. Always was mine
Just like alot of other people, your my first go to for gun reviews! Thanks for all the time you've spent over the years doing these reviews! ✌🐜
Preach!
This 10mm has def saved lives up here in alaska.
Got one in preparation for a trip to AK. I’m reloading for it with a storm lake barrel and it rocks. 💪🇺🇸❤️
Kudos to the person that shot this video. Excellent work!
It's John his son 👍
Wow, I've watched quite a few videos regarding guns and ammunition but have to say you stand-out to me for your skills, down-to-earth demeanor, talking points, and honesty.
You seem like a pretty humble guy. Thanks for the vid. This will likely be my first pistol purchase. Thanks
Each video gets better than the next! I've been following this fine channel since 2009. Love it! We have had numerous Bear sightings here in Connecticut. I think it's time for a Glock 20! Great shooting and humor as always! Thanks!
I looked down at my Glock 29 10 mm and I’m proud of the little guy
Every time you shoot soda bottles, I'm reminded of that scene from "The Jerk" where the guy is trying to kill Steve Martin and he screams, "Stay away from those cans! He hates those cans!"
😂
These cans are defective!
One of his best.
Hilarious!
"Hey, you're not 'Carnival Personell!!!'"
Great vid, as always. I'm seriously thinking about a 10mm. You've turned my attention to the G-20. I like it's capacity and beaver-tail. Don't like it's all composition frame. I'm also watching the full-metal frames. Ty.
I can see a comeback of the 10mm and that makes me happy!
This my first Glock I bought in love 🥰 no malfunction great to handle if you got big hands 🙌🏿
I was out today looking for this gun about to give up and I get the notification for this video. Thinking to myself hickok is mocking me.
Just thought I'd rub it in. :-)
I’m still partial to my Gen 3 G20 10mm. The grip texture is perfect for me.
He handles that 10mm like a boss 😎😎
Gosh, I love listening and watching you shoot Hickok45 - very informative and non-biased firearm/ammo videos.
Hickok: exists
Recoil: Doesn't exists
Ignacy Skupiński
He’s like six foot nine, and has been shooting his entire life, so, yeah, 10mm probably isn’t very difficult for him.
Hickock makes the Glock 40 look like a Glock 26
Doesn't "Exists" ? Your brain doesn't exist.
Late comment, but I love the channel. I've rediscovered shooting as my socially distant hobby in the pandemic and you're always out there showing me different things to try. I appreciate you.
@hickock45 not sure if you hear this often but THANK YOU for making these videos even during times like these. They are therapeutic lol
Three point chest slings is where it’s at. I carry one when I go hunting for them man eaters in the woods. Hi cap 10mm with hard cast 😎👍🏽💪🏽
You Sir, are my favorite English teacher on Earth!
Hickok is never happier than when he has a Glock in his hand.
I don't know he seems to love the 1911 maybe he will chime in which is his favorite?
You should watch him shoot a Single Action Army. He always says they are his favorite.
Except when he has a S&W revolver.
I have the big brother of this gun, the Glock 40 and I absolutely love it.
"Big Brother"
The mod 40 factory race Glock is top of My to aquire list..
Less muzzle rise in 40 compared to 20? I shoot 21 and 17 and looking for another Glock.
Ive been watching this guy since 2011....hes a legend!

How’s the stock trigger on the G20?
One thing I have have learned during this quarantine time is that it’s great to have or know someone who has land. Been enjoying my friends compound in Mississippi shooting and riding dirt bikes during this time 👍🏼
Hickok 45 has become my Gun "Godfather" lol I love the videos the info the shooting the show almost feels like getting together with old friends to hang out and catch up on the newest firearms. That magic is somethimg a show either has or doesnt have. You can't create it it just has to feel right.Great job guys keep up the great work.
I'm thinking about missing some vids on purpose so he shows up at my house. I could use some personal tips as a relatively new firearm owner.
As a new gun owner, be careful and be sure to PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! research what loads to use for personal defense, no one solution is right for everyone.
@Michael Williams good advice 👌
Even with the volume turned down that thing sounds like a howitzer.
Hickok must be a mind reader. I was literally just looking at glock 20 videos yesterday. Thinking about getting one. Today this video pops up, must be a sign.
Worth every penny, I love mine. Plenty of power to take on problems with two legs up to four.
My favorite gun
I was trying to decide between the 20 and the 40
@@AWZ1287 20 is much better suited for 10mm. Full size for a full power round.
@@shangtsung1362 the 40 is larger than the 20. The 40 has a 6" barrel
The 10mm sure 🤔 does sounds good 👌
You are the best,Sir. Keep the videos coming. Love my Talon grips and use Balistol religiously.
I want to get myself a Glock. That and a 12g pump. It's time to upgrade from the old 22 magnum lol. Stay safe everyone.
Take care.
@@mrglock2313 Will do. Thank you.
You can't handle it.
@@estout324 I think I'll be just fine. I grew up shooting guns. 😂😉
22mag is a do all round 6 in the neck will stop any 2 legged coyote
My god Hickok. I thought you were going to flash us when you ripped open your coat 😳😂
That would be a different kind of bear.
Hahaha
Only you can prevent Boredom during Quarantine :-) Itching to get out there and shoot!
You're a National Treasure , Mr. Hickok 45 ! We love ya' !!

I love my Glock 20 archery hunting in grizzly country. I recently ordered a 40 cal conversion barrel to practice with more inexpensive ammo.
Koocanusa Hunter where did you buy the conversion barrel ?
Storm Lake barrels, pretty sure I ordered it from Midway. I guess there are many guys that shoot 40 through there 10mm barrel but it’s debatable whether it will hurt it or not.
Yep
I really like my Glock 20, it's a magnificent beast. It became my absolute favorite handgun from the very first time I shot it. I like it even more than my .44 mag because I like the feel of that upward snap.
underwood penetrators in all my guns I use for moose/bear I use them in my 10mm Glock and my .44 magnums and all my weapons, if it can penetrate 3 inches of Lexan armor and keep moving in 10mm then it will be my ammo of choice, from a hunter in Alaska, merry Christmas!
People say “when you can’t shoot because of Quarantine” nah I can’t shoot because I’m in California lol
I live in Kentucky, no bullets due to pandemic.
