Jesus this is a banger of an episode. Unreal amount of work, well done! Stoked to see people build drift trucks finally
Dude this thing is sick, I've dreamt of a SR20 or K swapped mini truck for years now. Badass man
K swapped would be a great idea cheap and easy power 😍
Man, the algorithm brought me here and I gotta say; this thing is SICK! Love the creativity, fab work, and motivation. Awesome build dude!
Much appreciated 🙏🤣
Put the gas tank behind the rear subframe it will be sooo easy to drift that way. A spare tire rack would go crazy too. Great setup instead of trying to get leafs to cooperate.
Not a bad idea
Leafs will work great if you have them spring under axle, you're using composite parabolic mono-leafs, you have pivoting spring eye and shackle bushings, and you're using a tension shackle design (spring side of shackle above the frame side).
Not to mention good shocks and a swaybar, which are probably the first steps to take, and easier (well, fabbing swaybar mounts isn't) than the mild/moderate expense of all the other shit.
Best Tacoma out there
me planning mini truck build literally saw this vid.
💪
Great Work is there any vibration in the drive line or wheel Hop???...….
None at all it’s a very smooth driving car now. Not to mention it feels much safer at high speeds 🙏🤣

i absolutely love this because honestly i wish trucks had independent suspension in the rear, not that solid axle junk.
Im subscribing because of the tacoma!!!
Good stuff my guy. I like what your doing. That truck is really nice
Thanks bro you're helping me out
Spectacular final work I am impressed. Maybe you can share a little about your experience on how it drives on the road or street? using that ratio differential that you installed. I have my Tacoma with its stock engine (2.4) manual transmission and a 3.42 ratio solid axle. I found a donor 2012 G37 I found out that it has a 3.36 ratio and my big question is what would I get using that 3:36 ratio.
I mean will I get high or low gears and at what rpm. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 😊
@@JoseLopezLeerParaCrecer using the lower ratio means overall top speed increased I drifted on the 3:36 ratio and the 3:60(manual 350z diff) and I found with the 3:60 yes my car sped up faster but the weak little motor lacked the torque to really make a difference. You will find the 3:36 ratio to be pleasant and has plenty of pep for fun driving 😃 always stay as close to factory spec you probably won’t notice a difference in speed of acceleration but with the independent rear suspension it really planted my car and gave it a go kart like feeling which felt more in control than the bouncy comfortable truck suspension.
@@ditchboiz5298 Your information is very useful. First of all, you say that the 3.60 is much better for the Nissan 350z ?
I will take advantage of this winter to put my truck in the garage and start with it. In fact, I will increase the boost and a small turbo is also on the way. Thanks friend for your information. I really appreciate it.
(In what years are the 3.60 ratio of the Nissan 350z installed?)
@@JoseLopezLeerParaCrecer all manual 350z has the same 3.6 ratio all autos have the 3.4
I've been wanting to do something similar except I want to take the subframe and transmission out of a C5 Corvette
Fun fact, you can narrow an S550 Mustang rear subframe by either 6 or 7 inches and it should fit under a minitruck.
Also, IRS is overrated. The REAL goat for suspension technology is actually lost in the past, and it's called a De-Dion axle. Specifically,if you pair it with a Satchell Link style triangulated 4-link and also run it with inboard brakes.
What size tires and rims does the truck have in the rear?
14s 💯
Immediate subscribe! 🎉 thank you for being different!
😭🙏👍
what tailgate is that?
I added a 2009 tahoe spoiler to the factory tailgate
😮💨
14s 💯 it barely clears the 350z brakes 🤣
Downgrade*
Well it was never good to begin with so it counts as an upgrade!
@@ditchboiz5298 it would be an upgrade if you raised up the suspension and put some meaty off road tyres on it, having it slammed like that is boring and ugly
@@GAMINGOBRIEN69 ahh I see what you’re saying. Yeah I’m gonna do a off road build in the future but this truck is actually for drifting so lower is better for what it’s built for. But I want a off road tacoma so bad 😩🙌
@@ditchboiz5298 ohhh ok
@@ditchboiz5298 tell me when you start the offroad build and MAYBE I'll subscribe
when of been much more enjoyable without all that garbage music ... that was an L dude so annoying
Thanks
