I appreciate the lower energy/documentary style of editing. Not everything needs to be super hype with a forced theme or music. Just the voices of donut and the raw (but cleaned up) sounds of the environment for two hours, forty-five minutes...
I think most racing fans understand that first outing is almost always doomed to be plagued by unforseen issues. A followup series with the ranger for next years race or even shorter races to practice the team and sort out the issues. You have an amazing platform to spring off now and the hype would be real to see the journey of Donut off-road raceteam continue.
As someone who used to own a 99 Ranger. I’m always amazed at how well built they were, imagine taking a 300K mile truck that’s over 25 years old off-roading and having it survive is impressive.
There’s a cleanup crew that follows the last person after a certain amount of time. They most likely picked up the wheels but Donut probably didn’t get them back.
Not too surprised they put all the vids together. Makes sense. Enjoyed watching this rig being put together. My brother and I had once brainstormed doing something like this with a Jeep. Maybe one day.
I like this video and the your other full build video because even though I have already seen you guys build this truck, the way it is edited and some of the shots are different. It is way more refreshing and easy to watch than sometimes the over edited videos people make on youtube. keep it up.
Great video even better group of guys! Glad you wore helmets in the beginning. Self preservation is key. Love the send off for the little engine that could. Yes, I too was amazed it didn’t die. 56:08 😂 I use to be a heavy duty repairman for a paving company. We did maintenance for other companies. Replaced a few flywheels on concrete mixers and various size dump trucks, all standard transmissions. We had a transmission jack, but the sum-bich leaked 😢😂 felt like a one moan band getting that bastarrrrd in place when reinstalling transmissions, ugh.
I definitely need at least one more video of you finishing that last 10% of the build. And then.. another video, where you bring this to another race ofc!
I have seen the thumbnails and titles for the videos on each thing that you did to this trick and they sounded so outrageous that I thought it was just stupid stuff for views so I never watched any of them but when I saw the title this time and saw it was the full build it made sense and I realized what you were doing the entire time! So I’m watching it now!
@KSwapTheWorld69 you're so smart. I must have needed to remind you that their videos typically post on Friday AM. My apologies for making a comment that went over your head. I will do better next time, please forgive me.
after coming from FH5, Justin joking about doing Baja on their HiLow missions a year ago and saying they'll end up crash and burning during the race was one of the most hilarious Apollo's Prophecy moment I've seen in a while now
I'm sure @Donut has reached ut to the Baja organizers about the lost rim and tyres, someone is sure to have spotted them. Dude they're waaay too good + bespoke to be given up on so easily.
The guy who said it was way heavier was dead wrong , I have a 2003 Ford Ranger extra cab with the 4 L V6 . And it weighs barely over 3,000 lb . This one might weigh a little bit more because of the engine being bigger . But it isn't heavy .
Used to be something people said...now it's like without jobe and Jeremiah and James the channel is dead. Nolan can not save it as he doesn't seem to like camera time
I forgot about the whole header thing. It makes me wonder though if they had just swapped the sides they where on. They would've still been facing forward. But they would've been down at the bottom instead of coming out the top.
Damn this is longer than the first full Avengers movie. I know this channel has been around for a while and people have prob. already said this but dude looks like he might be related to Conan O'Brien. If I could only get Dount to do some of this for my 2020 Venture 4Runner Edition. I'm working on getting some lights rock crawling bars. I'm not going to lift my vehicle get a roof tint none of that shit. Gonna to keep Incognito stealth camping and overlanding. Those $630 BD lights are crazy cool, but way outta my reach. Seriously, it's a wonder that I'm not hearing about Overland rigs getting ripped off on overlanding sites. Bluu of BluTintphotography
I think Justin and Nolan could start their own channel together and make things happen. As well as making more for themselves than the $45k a year they make while being the face of a multi million dollar company. Just sayin
Can you guys please stop using angle grinders the wrong way holy shit, one of you is gunna get a disc in the eye cause of how you jam them into metal with them spinning the wrong way.
I suspect that if you bought a better car to build on you would have not had as many problems. Many of the problems was because you had to repair the chassis so mush to get it to work.
yall went to california city? i didn't think the general public was allowed to just go there. southern california is blanketed with vast tracts of government land your not allowed to tresspass on. more than just 28 palms, rocketdyne, vandenberg, and port hueneme test ranges and military installations.
Is this all the offcuts and unused footage too? I don't remember most of this(almost 20 minutes in) and I'm pretty sure I watched the whole series. Should call this "The Documentary", I almost didn't watch it because "Full Build" implies it's just a compilation of the previous videos. And Jarrod from Questionable Garage reversed his headers first on his Earl Leeker build, just sayin.....but congrats, this one is like an old school TV documentary, it's great!
Y'all need to do a post race fix of all the issues you found during it. fix the alternator issue, the control arm, storage of tires, etc.
And the broken accelerator peddle haha
And we want to know are you going to race it again?
Of course they will, free content and a working truck
Yup, easiest content ever
and race baja 1000
Ranger is just so happy it didnt end up at whistling diesels.
probably one of the best series you guys have made
I appreciate the lower energy/documentary style of editing. Not everything needs to be super hype with a forced theme or music. Just the voices of donut and the raw (but cleaned up) sounds of the environment for two hours, forty-five minutes...
It feels like they've forgotten the music tho
Agreed. When they did it with the civic, a lot of people complained but tbh, I love this!
Video idea: fix everything wrong with the baja blaster post baja
I don't think they gonna run it again
As someone who used to own a 99 Ranger. I’m always amazed at how well built they were, imagine taking a 300K mile truck that’s over 25 years old off-roading and having it survive is impressive.
19:30 "Wheels are at a different zip code from the truck" lmao hahaha
Did you guys ever go back and retrieve those tyres and wheels lost during the Baja Run??
Those are now relics left for the next civilization to discover.
I think they said there is like a follower car that goes out at the end of the day and picks up debris, they might've gotten the wheels but idk
There’s a cleanup crew that follows the last person after a certain amount of time. They most likely picked up the wheels but Donut probably didn’t get them back.
Its fun watching this back knowing what broke on the race. Now we can see the mistakes that made the weak points as they were made.
Not too surprised they put all the vids together. Makes sense. Enjoyed watching this rig being put together. My brother and I had once brainstormed doing something like this with a Jeep. Maybe one day.
my buddy is doing the same thing to his jeep except it's not going to be 100k and over engineered for failure
Love the long content. Keep it coming as yall can!
Donut made a movie huh, noice.
One of the best series...ever!
My dudes, I watched it in one sitting, it was just that good!
I want Donut to build a side by side
Woah.. a full build video.. SICK
This format feels like a MightCarMods-style "disrespected nose" video. More of this end-of-build build videos, dudes!
Best series donut ever did imo, and donut has had a lot of great series in its catalog.
I like this video and the your other full build video because even though I have already seen you guys build this truck, the way it is edited and some of the shots are different. It is way more refreshing and easy to watch than sometimes the over edited videos people make on youtube. keep it up.

I definitely need at least one more video of you finishing that last 10% of the build. And then.. another video, where you bring this to another race ofc!
Jerry looks so sick with that toothpick
40k of the budget was buying the same thing twice
I have seen the thumbnails and titles for the videos on each thing that you did to this trick and they sounded so outrageous that I thought it was just stupid stuff for views so I never watched any of them but when I saw the title this time and saw it was the full build it made sense and I realized what you were doing the entire time! So I’m watching it now!
This is completely different than all of the build videos, I watched the full build video by video and recognize about 7% of the footage here.....
You should take og owner for a drive!
Loving the 2-3hr video!!!!! Rather the less often but longer better content option
looks like the battlepass
As a previous owner of a 1996 Explorer XLT this series has always made me proud. I'm a Chevy guy at heart though. Nice job!!
Can't wait for yall to do the baja 1000
Mount them spares separately standing upright. Great video been following the entire time
I knew today was actually Friday!
It's Saturday my guy...
@KSwapTheWorld69 you're so smart. I must have needed to remind you that their videos typically post on Friday AM. My apologies for making a comment that went over your head. I will do better next time, please forgive me.
@maamrb5 oh no I know... I was simply saying it's Saturday sorry for knowing what day it is.
@@KSwapTheWorld69 consider yourself forgiven, my brother in Christ.
@@KSwapTheWorld69 Dude made me think I missed work for a second...
1:01:46 foreshadowing alternator issues
Cool truck!!
Awesome work
Not endurance testing it was the biggest mistake...
Radius arms :)
Ya, the header being flipped is "foreshadowing," but no issues with "how much bigger the puddles got!" 😂
Makes me want one now
after coming from FH5, Justin joking about doing Baja on their HiLow missions a year ago and saying they'll end up crash and burning during the race was one of the most hilarious Apollo's Prophecy moment I've seen in a while now
GOT MY DONUT SWEATER IN THE MAIL THE OTHER DAY LOVE IT .
2:08:35 get an extra heavy duty magnet 🧲 in case you drop metal stuff in deep silty dirt
we need smthing like this!!
Go 14:30 minutes in the video. Someone. Lets one out 😂😂😂
Ha I think you're right
I'm sure @Donut has reached ut to the Baja organizers about the lost rim and tyres, someone is sure to have spotted them. Dude they're waaay too good + bespoke to be given up on so easily.
1:58:41 I feel your pain. I’ve used duct tape and tp for field bandages 😂
I can’t believe Donut had $100,000 to give you guys for this video series.
Why? It's a multi billion dollar venture capital fund who owns multiple TH-cam channels.
Hell yea 3 hr videoNnn
Yes! Just like a movie but for gear fans.
The guy who said it was way heavier was dead wrong , I have a 2003 Ford Ranger extra cab with the 4 L V6 . And it weighs barely over 3,000 lb . This one might weigh a little bit more because of the engine being bigger . But it isn't heavy .
“So are you here for the Magic Touch?” - Los Santos Customs 😄
Cant wait to see the next money pit… armoured 90’s suburban?
Babe.. donut media just uploaded a movie 🍿
Used to be something people said...now it's like without jobe and Jeremiah and James the channel is dead. Nolan can not save it as he doesn't seem to like camera time
Hey babe, donut media turned corprate after an undeniable offer and now the original crew is nowhere near as emotionally-churned for the channel👌
I almost skipped over it, they should have titled it as the documentary it is
Crazy to see some parts from garret oddball Motorsport. 😊
Quietly waiting for them to post mustang drag cars
😢awesome truck
"I know this truck, i aint no stranger, i know this truck, thats a ford fuckin ranger" - Benjamin Franklin
They should add this Ranger to Forza!
Damn. Donuts' views are down bad.
Looking back I’m surprised you didn’t have issues with those modified oem steering rods earlier those things are skinny😂
this is blasphemous this fast
We got her a new engine
Oh yeah what like a 302 Windsor. A 351 Cleveland yk something simple
Nah fan we got a lsx 454 big block
😦
Have the guys from grind hard plumbing company come and help build it! They are really good at this sort of thing!
A year too late there buddy, it has already been to Mexico, tried, failed and returned.
I really think the drywall rack needs to go back on fir the hell of it
I forgot about the whole header thing. It makes me wonder though if they had just swapped the sides they where on. They would've still been facing forward. But they would've been down at the bottom instead of coming out the top.

Bluu of BluTintphotography
Are you guys ever going to show the high/ Lower finale in Arizona?
Every shot of those tires hurts.
I think Justin and Nolan could start their own channel together and make things happen. As well as making more for themselves than the $45k a year they make while being the face of a multi million dollar company. Just sayin
Jerrys my favorite
oh yeah, new vid
I wanna know how the og owner of this truck would react if he saw how it looks now
i wish i had a ranger
Now, if you want a real challenge, put it back to it original factory build.
Surprise surprise. The guy wearing the ECS Tuning t shirt finds a part probably from ECS that doesn't fit quite right... 😂
This is what it felt like when top gear got new hosts 😢
Anyone spot that g80 at 1:52
Could you guys possibly make a parts list?
You guys should do the same race at a reasonable speed in a TRD tacoma and see what your time would have been driving normal on a dirt road.
51:53 my suzuki ignis sport with its small 1.5 liter i4 makes like 120 hp... how in the world does that 4.0 v6 only make 152 hp
Can you guys please stop using angle grinders the wrong way holy shit, one of you is gunna get a disc in the eye cause of how you jam them into metal with them spinning the wrong way.
DOES DONUT SAY HI?!
Am I the only one who heard Mo Powa Baby at 54:18
Unpopular opinion: low truck would have made all the stages more reliably than the ranger🤷♂️
When you going to start making cars for the snow !!!!
I thought Jobe and Jerr would drive the truck along with Nolan and Adam it surprised me not to the them there at all
Day one truck has custom 428 tires 😂. I can tell by the tread. This reminds me of the game hillbilly hill climb 😆
In the end, it's still a Ford.
Built tough
This goes to show that regardless of how much money you spend, you will always have problems with a build.
All I wanna know is what ya did with the original bumper cause I need it my 94 is in need of a front bumper
I suspect that if you bought a better car to build on you would have not had as many problems. Many of the problems was because you had to repair the chassis so mush to get it to work.
Legitimate question, was there even a point in buying a ranger if you replace everything?
2:44:24
that dynapro add was a bit much tho lol
More parts to the pile
yall went to california city? i didn't think the general public was allowed to just go there. southern california is blanketed with vast tracts of government land your not allowed to tresspass on. more than just 28 palms, rocketdyne, vandenberg, and port hueneme test ranges and military installations.
