Nice to see your mixing thing up, with different brands, always interesting. Just got off three weeks vacation. Cut, split and stacked 15 cords, have 40 in the back yard. 10 for this year and each year going forward. Took a couple of day for yard work and winter prep. Did a late night quad run to the casino. Won a couple hundred bucks, good thing cause I just restocked my carb kit, seals, coils, chains so in the end I'm up $50 😂. Lots of little things going on with my saws, when I was cutting this year. Chain tensioner bolt fell out, seals in a 268xp, recoil rope on a 272xp, failed head gasket on a 55. I guess it was just the year for it to all happen😊. My buddy a work asked me to go through his dads old saw and get it running for him, I said sure. Its a Jonsered 630 in pristine condition. Original chain and it has never had a file on it and still as sharpe as when it came out of the box. Maybe half a tank of gas through it. Has the original Jonsered plaste case as well. What an honor to help out a buddy, on such a nice saw. I hope I don't let him down. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙
Still never seen a Pioneer in my area. But like you, love just about all things old-school! Aaron Lynch called it👍🏻 I'd definitely give that cylinder another go.
Hey hey Tinman, glad to see a pioneer build. I have a farmsaw I tore down years ago cracked intake, wonky starter and decomp and questionable coil. Always have wanted to get it runnin. Mint piston and cylinder glad someone shut it down when they did. Thank for sharing your time, knowledge, and content. I still think you'd look good on a kawasaki 1500 Vulcan psychology billy rat rod...👍
Tinman i run pioneer partner saws quite a bit. Here in the state of new Jersey just can't get any parts for them . Im really worried for the future of my collection nobody wants to give up parts . 😊 the new Jersey logman great content buddy. ❤
Hi Tinman, crazy that you started a Pioneer. I just picked up a S55 in a farm auction. Great compression and looks almost new. Farmer said it sat on a shelf for the last 10 to 12 years. Looking forward to your series
Well I’ve been cutting some fire wood, local storm blowdown. I’ve been having to use a 42” on my 660’s. Sadly one got sick last weekend, PTO seal was out. She’s better now, ready for this weekend. I hope you and the family have a great weekend.
I've got an idea for a video that might get a lot of views, I have been getting a lot of recommended videos about Amazon chain saws, mostly the Proyama. This seems to be a saw for the suburban homeowner or someone with a small farm. I think a video of an expert like your self disassembling the Proyama and commenting on the quality of each component would get a lot of views. Try to port the Projama and give your opinion. I see from these other videos that Proyama is sending these saws for free to influencers such as yourself. Keep up the great videos.
I have a Poulan Pro 455. Thats just a P45 with a different sticker on it. Got it late last winter. 24" bar. Its strong, even stock. Im looking forward to using it more this year.
How does that 026 run that's a nice saw you built little ripper I think that was my favorite saw to watch you build it was a challenge you do amazing work
Apparently youtube is un subbing me from some of my favorite channels again. This the third channel that I have had to resub. very frustrating. these should be some interesting saws to learn about.
Hey tinman don't bother putting a knew piston or rings in the saw just see if you can get the ring out and just clean up the piston the hasn't got a lot of time on it
Low roof, short blowdown and a 272 carb😁 ive got a couple shorts on my channel if you want to get an idea. Pop-up piston and a base cut. Dont go to much or they free-port. .010-.020" doesnt hurt though😁

I have a 655 poulan or a pioneer p65. It absolutely rips. Glad to see some pioneer love.
Still never seen a Pioneer in my area. But like you, love just about all things old-school! Aaron Lynch called it👍🏻 I'd definitely give that cylinder another go.
Nothing better than working on your own property, looking forward to this build!

19:50 The quad transfers remind me of a Husky 346, 357 and 372 xp saw.

Love them old pioneers. Good to see you working on one.
Quad loop transfers ..way ahead of their time…swap a 272xp carb on it and send it😎
👍🏻
the tour through the collection was nice.

Looks like you have a great saw to rebuild. Looking forward to this rework. 👍👍
That’s going to be a beast!! Can’t wait to see it RIP!!!
royal purple 2 stroke oil will fix that stops rings sticking to the piston
Was kind of a quick glance, but looks to be a reed valve motor, cool!
Do the P61 next! I recently got a P65. Some fuel line and a carb kit and it's a ripper.
First saw I ever ran was my dad’s pioneer. Over 50 years ago now. Still runs. 👍🏼
I have a Poulan Pro 455. Thats just a P45 with a different sticker on it. Got it late last winter. 24" bar. Its strong, even stock. Im looking forward to using it more this year.
Great weather here in Ohio, looks like a 372!! Take care!
My P 28 runs like a charm...... I restored it after it sat in a box for 23 years.....
How does that 026 run that's a nice saw you built little ripper I think that was my favorite saw to watch you build it was a challenge you do amazing work
Pioneers are cool but i would love to see you do something with the Poulan 5200
Yeah baby!
I love these pioneers! A have a p41 it not so minty and i think it leaks chainoil to the case…so need to rebuilt
I have a pp525 that is doing the same
Cool!!
The best set of screw drivers for chain saws is a gun smiths set they will last you a life time.
My neighbor always ran Pioneer wish I could bought his old saws 😢
Check out the yamaha Roadstars and Stratoliners if you don't already have your heart set on Harley. Love my 1600 Roadstar!
Steel sleeve
I don’t have a preference. Some things go between brands. Enjoy the family.
love it
Always something to do when you own property. Leaf season is just starting in pa, probably be mulching them into mid December.
Lovely buddy I might just port one myself. Great vid ✊🏻🇦🇺
Old school quad ports
So much like a super xl homelite
Case Reed engine ? No intake ports on that cylinder ?
Quad closed transfers and a hemi combustion chamber?
Chamfered
Thanks for the kind words. Ward
Hey Ward, Thanks for watching.
AW !!! yeah PARTS maybe a problem , eh?? i have P39 i love but parts , dang . LOVE P41 & P51 . great saws
5200??!! my other favorite Poulan !!! 3400 , S25DA ooooooooooooo!!!
Can you change the power by just widening your intake and exhaust port for more air flow?
This is a reed saw so you can't change the intake timing by adjusting the port.
Good to know because I just got 2 saws that are reed saws. Ones a homelite super mini and the other is a Lombard comango @@tinmanssaws
Buddy I’ll probably watch whatever you are working on, it’s all good 👍
Closed ports for the win.
Welcome to Tinman's Chainsaw Museum!!! Step right up and get your tickets!😂
That's a nice collection of pioneers!! Wiring looks fine😅 nice video💪💪...hey, have you checked your emails??!! Lol
I haven't been in there much but I'll check them over the next couple of days
@@tinmanssaws 😊hope all has been well, and same to your family 🙏❤️
Quad Transfers and no Intake by Reed design.

Hey Tinman why dont you share some husqvarna 50 and 55 tips to help it with a longer bar.
Hi, I don't really have any experience with those 2 saws. As long as they will oil a longer bar I'm sure.its doable.
@tinmanssaws Thanks Tinman. 😊
Yeah I know people that have sheds with sketchier lights wiring than you. It’s me, I’m people
Hows the Tinman and family

No intake port
Please don't say the word friends again
Wouldn't be the Tinman's saws channel without at least a couple "friends" per video😉
