I’d love to see a replacement of the Fear Factor Live arena with the Ministry of Magic expansion to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley section!
It still feels odd that the land is based on wizarding France but the main ride is set in London; perhaps the entrance to the ride will still be the French Ministry, but inside are floo powder fireplaces to various Ministries around the world, and our queue takes us to the British one.
That could work but it still would feel forced. Mixing France and Britain is weird no matter how they try to explain it. That being said, the French buildings were already all planned out and will look fantastic, and the British Ministry is the only one fans care about, so I get it!

I have been saying that the obvious solution to this is the ability to take the night bus from diagon alley to epic's ministry of magic. There will obviously already be buses going to and from so why not have a few of those be extra tall and purple...lol...... Similar to the train between diagon alley and hogsmead... Transportation and attraction... Seems like a no brainer that I'm certain universals already thought of. They could buy stock made double Decker buses and add a fake lightweight third story on to them with the inside having a fake stairway going to nowhere with this sign across it saying that it was full due to a nargle infestation or something... Imagine as a resident of Orlando seeing those crossing the I-4 corridor lol. They could even use them as themed rolling advertising. I actually hope to see them also stopping to pick up passengers from the bright line stop. Imagine a complete Harry Potter themed experience getting off a plane or a train in Orlando and getting on a night bus. Universal could blow Disney's galactic star cruiser out of the water for a much cheaper price by simply adding a few of those buses and building a wing of one of their resorts themed inside to the HP universe and they wouldn't even need to add the interactive story outside the attractions beyond similar to how they do it with the wands and diagon alley.
@@mikalmos369 If they actually did that, it would be a genius move. If they don't, it's going to be very frustrating having the Ministry of Magic separated from the rest of the World of Harry Potter.
Hopefully the extra space is used for a Fantastic Beasts ride. You can have Newt Scamander set up a Magical Beasts Emporium in France and then have the beasts escape as the guests help track all of them down throughout the Place Cachée. You can have it be a trackless dark ride that uses animatronics and some screens.
GREAT VIDEO, but I'm dumbfounded by the land. I hope the show (and whatever future expansion they do) is based in France. Just make a ride going through the French school (Beauxbatons Academy of Magic) and they're sitting pretty.
Fabulous video as always, Alecia! Most of my concerns have already been addressed by other commenters. I do worry how much they have invested into the theming of the land in a franchise that is possibly outright cancelled midway through the promised 5 films. It would be like making a Divergent land. The Ministry ride will really need to be impressive to not make this land the black sheep of Epic Universe. I have faith in the creative folks at Uni to make sure that doesn't happen.
Would still like to eventually see an attraction utilizing set pieces and characters from the fantastic beasts films. I think it's deserving of one attraction, especially since the British ministry ride really feels as though it should wrap up potter-era rides at the resort.
First a big thank you for producing these amazing videos. People probably don't realize how much work is put in them, thank you. I'm glad we'll see a continuation of the use of the excellent scoop mobile for the main attraction. I love the main villain and the story is for sure going to be exciting. The land is going to look stunning. I hope they keep the magical creatures to give it the kinetic energy modern theme park lands should have. Also glad we still get a sit down show, the park is huge and I sure can use a brake now and then.
As a Potter head myself if this is true I can't wait for it . Even after the hyep all dies out I will still love watching the movies . It was a big part of my childhood
I'm surprised they didn't opt for Muggle-centric locations like Little Whinging or the Burrow, or Malfoy Manor, perhaps Azkaban, etc. My guess is it would be hard to theme it around just one or mash them all in one place
Im very curious now. I know its just a rumor, but if this land has new wands, Mario has the power bands, and supposedly HTTYD has the baby dragons, if this rumor is real, what kind of interactive element Monsters could have. Like maybe some kind of different amulets and trinkets from the movies? Like some kind of device made by Dr Frankenstein or some artifacts from the Mummy?
now we only need to see Jude Law's Dumbledore walk the streets of Paris. so far he's in Queens, NYC and Berlin in Fantastic Beasts Toby Regbo's Young Dumbledore appeared in both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. he was underused but so was Bill Weasley who had his own ride over at Diagon Alley.
Crossing my fingers for the ability to take a night bus from diagon alley to the ministry of magic... It would be awesome if you could take a "night bus" from Diagon Alley at the Studios to Epic. The outside could be made to look like a triple Decker but the inside could only probably be a double Decker so they have to make it seem like there's a third floor that you just can't access or something like fake stares and a sign saying out of order or full or whatever. The inside could utilize similar screens like the train that goes to islands of adventure and the inside could also be kitted out to seem more like the movements of the night bus. They'd have to build at least three to be practical IE1 coming and one going and a spare. It could be an upcharge attraction considering the distance involved. A couple of bucks per passenger would hugely offset the development and operating cost as well as limit ridership simply by making the standard transportation that I think we're all expecting as a freebie. I also think that having to buy a fare for the night bus adds to the realism of it. I'd like to believe that universal has already thought of this idea and I'd love to see it implemented but I have my doubts that will be seeing a really tall weird purple bus driving through across the I-4 corridor. There is no doubt that they have buses planned for internal transportation to and from so I don't see why they couldn't just convert a few of them so I am crossing my fingers. I'd love to see the talking shrunken head greeting you as you stepped on the bus and imagine getting to dress up as Ernie as a bus driver, it would certainly make the job much more fun.
I’d love to see a replacement of the Fear Factor Live arena with the Ministry of Magic expansion to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley section!
I really hope we see a water ride come to this park at some point, something potentially in the wizarding world expansion about the Great Lake with the mer people could be cool and work well
I wish that the Gringotts ride was more coaster like. They missed out on having a really cool coaster that could have drawn in people the same way Hagrids does.
This section has me the most intriguing as well as cautiously optimistic. I’m really excited for the ride and excited to see the Ministry of Magic. (I just wish we could of seen the battle between Voldemort and Dumbledore as that’s my favorite moment from the series) However, I’m nervous that the Paris to London narrative won’t translate very well, BUT I hope that I’m blown away and love it as much as Diagon Alley
Thank you SOO MUCH for this last video on Epic Universe Plans and Wizarding World!! I am super happy for the Ministry Ride.. ( It also does make sense for them to alter the storyline so it fits in the British Ministry!) Let's hope it will be a spectacular finale for the main Wizarding attractions, EXCEPT I really do hope they will incorporate a BROOM-RIDE in any shape, way, or form in the future!! Since this is the first thing you associate with the HP franchise, regarding ride possibilities...And maybe having an "Invisibility cloak"- effect technology, that really appear to work somehow in a ride 😀
Like so many others, I am really stoked about this whole park. I'm not even that big into Harry Potter and I'd still love to walk through this land just to see it.
I am in hope (like many) that they may still do the broomstick ride one day. Everything Universal does is just fantastic and always matches and exceeds expectations. Never say never when it comes to Universal they never disappoint. Disney could sure take some notes from Universal. Let’s see great new coasters and rides in their already existing parks, a brand new huge park that will be Epic (pun intended) plus always something new on the horizon. While perhaps the Tron coaster might finally open after about 5 years of construction pertaining to two movies one from the 80’s and the other early 2010 that most people probably don’t remember. Oh they do offer higher prices with required reservations and long long lines with now very dirty parks and rides. Yes Disney take note you have been pushed to the background by your actions and non-actions. Can’t wait for Epic to open!!!
I think the broomstick ride will be released eventually. I think they're waiting for the technology to become advanced enough to pull it off on the scale that they want.
@@meandmylaptop yes I think you are right. It will be amazing, just like the other things Universal does. There will be lots to keep us busy at Epic and Islands and Studios until they figure it out. Have a good one!!
I think it's Cool that we are getting another wizarding world area at epic universe and it's like we're getting another France pavilion and I'm also excited for the battle for the ministry of magic ride guys!😊😲
If VR won't work on that large of a scale, they could you the same type of ride they use for Avatar Flight of Passage. That is an amazing ride and you really feel like you are flying. They could use that type of technology but you are on a broom instead of an Ikran. Hopefully they come up with something really cool when they decide to use that expansion plot.😁
Saving all my theme park budget for 2024 just to make it out here for opening. I'm a huge theme park enthusiast, and this has to be the biggest new park opening in my lifetime.
Even if I'm not a super big Potter fan, I still think the ride seems interesting. Especially that Jurassic World at Beijing seems awesome, I'm sure this ride would be good! The land needs another ride though, even if it's a simple flat ride, anything that can help with the land's capacity would be great!
The only expansion I can see them doing next to this now is maybe whomping willow tree, weasleys house or goblet of fire maze?. Maybe even Ron’s car rollercoaster😂. Or even godrics hollow?
As a big HP fan… I’m kind of concerned about this land. It feels… forced. I still think the Ministry attraction should go in Universal Studios as an extension of London, and the Wizarding World land in Epic Universe should be something entirely different… perhaps based around the Quidditch World Cup 🤔
Who else is conflicted with videos like these? You want to watch it because it's exciting to see what's coming, but you also don't want to get spoiled either. Nothing like riding it blind
I know you all are in the rumor biz, but I really hope this does not involve the Fantastic Beasts franchise. Too disjointed. What makes Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley so special is like they are real locations. If this is so mismatched, it's not going to have the same vibe. However I am 1000% on board with the Ministry of Magic.
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and it pains me to say this but, this land looks like a total mess. I wish they had left out the Paris part or just had another IP in this spot.
They really bungled things with fantastic beasts. I expected a fun romp through the wilds of the magical world that have gone untouched by muggles seeking out these dangerous, rare and magical beasts. Instead we got political intrigue in the first film with the barest hint of connection to the books, and then they decide screw the fantastic beast part entirely and just turned it into a shitty prequel. They could have had a nice almost Pandora nature themed expansion for a Harry Potter land but of course they bungled it all.
Both her Hogwarts office and her office for the Head of the Muggle-Born Registration Commission at MoM had the pink tiles with cats. (one the clips used in this video was the Hogwarts version though I know)
Very sorry to hear about the broomstick VR being cancelled. That seems like a big mistake. If you ask any HP Fan what the #1 thing is they'd want a ride to be about, you'd think it would be riding a broom. ( Regardless whether its set in Harry Potter or Fantastic Beasts ) If Universal management is worried about the lower box office returns of Fantastic Beasts, that line of reasoning didn't stop Universal from making Waterworld into a show that ran 30 years beyond the movie's flop.
Maybe the vr ride will now go to old fear factor stadium at us as originally planned. I think they are addressing infrastructure issues there that caused original permit for demolition of existing stadium to be denied. Us needs a high draw new attraction like this would be.
Glad they canceled the VR ride. Doesn't feel like a theme park attraction and feels like a lazy way to get another ride in. Universal needs to keep getting away from screen-majority based rides. Hope they come up with something better for expansion!
@@Cheezbat I mean I wouldn't say no to that, but I don't think they'll do a 3rd Harry Potter roller coaster after Hippogriff and Hagrid's existing already in the other park. But anything outside of just sitting in front of a screen would be awesome.

12:06 Holy cow. I didn’t know there was that much space for expansion. Like, I knew there was some space, but not THAT much.
GREAT VIDEO, but I'm dumbfounded by the land. I hope the show (and whatever future expansion they do) is based in France. Just make a ride going through the French school (Beauxbatons Academy of Magic) and they're sitting pretty.
Beauxbatons was my guess. Gives the land more of a purpose, that's for sure.
Great series, love all the research and effort you put into it. So excited for this park, can’t wait for 2025!
Thank you for such an informative series on Epic Universe. My family and I are even more excited now!
As a Potter head myself if this is true I can't wait for it . Even after the hyep all dies out I will still love watching the movies . It was a big part of my childhood
Really enjoyed this series. Thanks for putting it togeher.
The Ministry is one of my FAVORITE things in Harry Potter…the beauty of it especially, truly a wonder this is gonna be!!!!
I love when your videos come out on my days off.
Definitely planned it that way too
I'm surprised they didn't opt for Muggle-centric locations like Little Whinging or the Burrow, or Malfoy Manor, perhaps Azkaban, etc.
Just flew over it flying into Orlando this weekend. It’s hard to see how big it will be until you see it first hand.
Hello from Brazil Alicia Stella, your voice is so beatiful and it's very ease to follow the explanations you give us. Amazing video!
now we only need to see Jude Law's Dumbledore walk the streets of Paris. so far he's in Queens, NYC and Berlin in Fantastic Beasts
Toby Regbo's Young Dumbledore appeared in both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. he was underused but so was Bill Weasley who had his own ride over at Diagon Alley.
I hope u keep doing these videos showing the new hotels, etc. These videos have been amazing!
Loved this series on EU! It's been very thorough! I am so excited for this to open!! Thank you!
Bravo! Great series!
Thanks!
Can't wait to see this place!!! I know they're going to nail all these lands 💯🌟👍
Really enjoyed the series. Looking forward to seeing it.
Great coverage on all these dedicated videos to each land. Thanks for all your work!
AMAZING job, Alicia. You never cease to amaze me! Best in the biz!
I really hope we see a water ride come to this park at some point, something potentially in the wizarding world expansion about the Great Lake with the mer people could be cool and work well
You know what universal needs? A Ford Anglia coaster!
Im interested on this ride because it looks like one of most uniques in the park. They have too many rollercoasters needed more darkrides.
( It also does make sense for them to alter the storyline so it fits in the British Ministry!)
Let's hope it will be a spectacular finale for the main Wizarding attractions, EXCEPT I really do hope they will incorporate a BROOM-RIDE in any shape, way, or form in the future!!
Such a fantastic series! Thanks!
Thanks for the W.W. update. Can't wait for Universal Orlando to just take my money already.
Looks incredible.
I was honestly asleep like ten minutes ago and then i got the ThemeParkStop notification
Ive never woken up so fast 😂
I have always dreamed to see a ride that looks like the last fight scene in the order of the Phoenix. I hope it's something like that!
This park is going to be an absolute game changer! The wait is definitely going to be worth it!
The less they tie it to the specific events and people from the beasts films, the better.
I have been looking forward to this video because I know nothing of this land lessgoooo
Another great video! Thanks for sharing!
Universal is leading the theme park industry forward I’m so excited
When in doubt, just say "A wizard did it."
Even if I'm not a super big Potter fan, I still think the ride seems interesting. Especially that Jurassic World at Beijing seems awesome, I'm sure this ride would be good!
The land needs another ride though, even if it's a simple flat ride, anything that can help with the land's capacity would be great!
That show sounds like it could be a Circus Arcanus beast show. I mean why not? It makes sense!
The only expansion I can see them doing next to this now is maybe whomping willow tree, weasleys house or goblet of fire maze?. Maybe even Ron’s car rollercoaster😂. Or even godrics hollow?
Can you do the park announced ?
Well done!!
Look what you can build when you don’t spend $71,100,000,000 for a bunch of old Fox films.
I hope the expansion land is used for a wizarding world themed hotel
8:52 I found the hidden Mickey
Hopefully new experiences like these get introduced in universal studios hollywood
Umbridge's pink cat office was at Hogwarts.
Both her Hogwarts office and her office for the Head of the Muggle-Born Registration Commission at MoM had the pink tiles with cats. (one the clips used in this video was the Hogwarts version though I know)
@@ThemeParkStop Thank you, I didn't remember that. Now I'm going to have to watch the movies all over again. Darn. 😆🤣😂
@@kennywalker4091 Oh darn, lol
9:15 i am cryinggggggg😂💀
You're amazing
I’d definitely love to see a much better version of the Harry Potter broomstick ride without the VR!
Miss Umbridge is played by Imelda Staunton.
Thanks!
Really hope that broomstick ride happens!!! I feel meh about the French streets and environment... Pumped to see British ministry though!
Amazing!
The last land in the series 😭😭😭
Maybe the vr ride will now go to old fear factor stadium at us as originally planned. I think they are addressing infrastructure issues there that caused original permit for demolition of existing stadium to be denied. Us needs a high draw new attraction like this would be.
I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled just in case new permits come up for Fear Factor for sure!
I think nothing is set in stone (so to speak). These Parisian facades aren’t finished and could easily be sculpted into muggle London.
Good series mama!
Glad they canceled the VR ride. Doesn't feel like a theme park attraction and feels like a lazy way to get another ride in. Universal needs to keep getting away from screen-majority based rides. Hope they come up with something better for expansion!
Watch them build a roller coaster since this is the only land in the park without one. 🤦♂️
@@Cheezbat I mean I wouldn't say no to that, but I don't think they'll do a 3rd Harry Potter roller coaster after Hippogriff and Hagrid's existing already in the other park. But anything outside of just sitting in front of a screen would be awesome.
I just wantr Umbridge throwing shade in the preshows..
