@@ThemeParkStop They’re right you know, I hope you understand that you’re the reason I’m excited for this park. Super Nintendo World notwithstanding 😂😂😂
Halloween 2025...we're coming from Maine! I've been longing for a theme park honoring the Classic Universal Monsters since I can remember. As a kid growing up, I was obsessed with them. I dressed as Dracula, Frankenstein and the Werewolf every Halloween as I grew up. I used to peruse TV Guide trying to find if and when the movies were being played, making sure I didn't miss them. Every now and then our local movie theater would have a "Monster Movie Marathon" and my friends and I would hunker down for 4 hours of Monster Movie fun. Throughout the years I've collected all of the movies on VHS, then DVD, and now we have all of the movies on Blu-ray. Finally, as I reach my 60th birthday, my dreams have been realized!
i am autistic and my special interest is the universal monsters, this video made me so excited i could barely control it. i’ve been wanting more monster stuff from universal and this absolutely satisfies that. i am so very excited!!
I honestly find it odd Universal Creative have yet to invite you to the team, because the way you explain these projects are so well-detailed. Also, them choosing the Château Miranda is a great choice. That place has been abandoned since 1991, and people say they hear children’s chilling screams and see their ghosts. It’s fitting to go with that for a spooky theme
This land sounds so cool! Super smart of them to capitalize on this due to the success of horror nights every year. There is definitely a market for this.
Your videos are not only some of the highest quality and extremely informative videos I’ve watched but also I just love everything about it. Thank you sooo much for your effort I’m sure many people like me really appreciate and look forward to your updates! :)
Man, just considering how actually scary Forbidden Journey can be (I mean come on, you’re lying if you say those dementors swooping at you doesn’t make you clench up), I can’t wait to see what the Monsters version of this will do. I’m really hoping they do go in the direction of having it be a more classic, physical figure dark ride with less screen sections because those non-screen scenes in FJ absolutely make the ride so great. They’ve had a decade now to perfect that idea and ride system, so I am extremely excited for that one.
@@everydaynoob1 It’s probably the most “scared” I’ve been on a ride (in my adulthood, at least lol. Any sort of Haunted Mansion ride at Disney or elsewhere used to scare me so bad when I was a kid lol). For me it’s one of those things where I actually want to get scared by them for whatever reason lol. They just get sooooo close to you. Like, I can’t think of any other ride that has animatronics coming so close to you that you can literally almost reach out and touch them. While my sister refuses to open her eyes during that part, I’m just sitting there looking intently into the darkness waiting on one to swoop down at me and give me a little startle lol. For whatever reason it always makes me laugh when they get me to jump or make a noise or something like that, too lmao. If the new Monsters ride features a truly perfected Kuka Arm ride system with less peripheral vision blockage (you can really only see what’s right in front of you on Forbidden Journey) and at least 75% physical sets and monster animatronics instead of long projection screen portions like the quidditch scene in FJ, I will be happy. Luckily, if they are going to the trouble of making the ride mostly physical sets and animatronics, they’ll have an incentive to make sure that you actually do have more of your peripheral vision throughout the ride so that you can take it all in better. With FJ, they kinda had to block your peripheral vision or else you would see the ride’s inner workings and other immersion-breaking things you’re not really supposed to see. However, now nearly 15 years since FJ came out, I do think they will have perfected this ride system so that it is a 100% immersive experience where you can look anywhere you want and they won’t have to block part of your vision so that you don’t see the vehicle next to you or the ride track or whatever else like FJ. So yeah, a wider field of view during the ride and more physical sets and animatronic monsters than FJ has will make this ride an instant classic and world class ride. The good news is, Universal has been trending up in terms of quality over the past ten years, so I truly do think this new park is going to be incredibly good. Better than some Disney parks. If you can’t tell, I am beyond excited for this thing lol.
It’s wild to me that these updates characterize the lands and excitement built into theme parks better than any theme park advertisement I’ve ever come across.
So excited for this Land! Especially that it isn't using screens very much and instead using real sets and rides! Fantastic concept for this area! Love the classic monsters!!!
I wouldn't be shocked if out of all the lands announced for Epic Universe this part of the park will be the most attended and for good reason. I mean seriously the idea of an area themed around Universal's iconic monsters is something I'm shocked hasn't been done in the past so to see it finally happen will no doubt be quite an amazing sight to see. :) Especially if they add more to it in coming years.
I am more excited for this land than I am anything else in theme park history. Just being honest as someone totally obsessed with the Monsters since I was a little kid watching them on AMC and Turner Classic. As an adult, I’ve got tons of merch and artwork. I also have too many articles of clothing and naturally love the HHN house every time they create a Monsters house. I can’t wait for this…and I will live here. LOL
@@claudenicenovais845 Thanks I don’t plan on it. We plan on going to Epic & being two kids in their 60’s. We love Island’s & Studio now & go there. We stay at Portofino Bay so we get express pass & never even have to rent a car, we get picked up from the airport. By the end of the week we have done/seen/eaten & enjoyed everything in both parks, City Walk & the resort. When we get home our bums are dragging & our tongues are hanging out a bit but it is worth every second of it! Keeps us young! Have a great week!
Forbidden Journey is one of my favorite universal rides. It’s amazing to see that one of my most anticipated EU attractions will basically be an improved version of that ride!
I know we are all super excited about the initial park opening, but I’m also pumped to see what phase two looks like and how long it takes to start building it
This is like my wildest dreams come true! I love all the Monsters. I am so excited about this land. I already told my husband and 4 sons that our 2025 vacation will be here and mostly spent in this land! 🖤🖤
Easily the land I'm most excited for! I'm a huge Universal Monsters fan and everything about this land I've heard so far sounds incredible! One thing I do hope for is that they stick with the original designs of the Monsters for this land. I love the HHN designs, but for HHN, not a theme park land. I think the original designs are so iconic and can be spooky without being terrifying which is what this land should be: spooky not scary. The original films are more atmospheric and eerie than scary and the land should reflect this. I got nervous when you said Dracula would "possibly" appear in the main attraction as he is my favorite Universal Monster and I hope he has a big presence in this land along with Frankenstein and Wolf Man (they are probably the three most popular Monsters).
I sincerely hope that the expansion does end up being based around Creature. He’s my favorite Monster and it’d be a dream come true. Hopefully we hear more about this after opening.
I’m really loving these detailed series of videos on each section of Epic Universe! Thanks for sharing! I can’t wait for the Classic Monsters section!!
I can imagine them making this land scary for the Fall season. If Horror Nights does not happen in this park, they can transform the land into an interactive "scare zone" in October, much like they did this year in Hogsmeade at Universal Studios Hollywood. Just picture the land full of fog and a more sinister sountrack at night; some of the villagers are out, weapons at the ready; some villagers are roaming around scared and all of the monsters (along with their minions and other evil-doers) are free to haunt the streets.
Thank you for this wonderfully detailed breakdown. I get more and more excited by the day. I find it interesting that they originally had a park area set for where the spinning coaster will now be. It seems like it will have a huge footprint and make the land more crowded, UNLESS there is a plan to build a small park inside the coaster area. Cobra’s Curse at Busch Gardens Tampa is also a Mack Rides spinner. There are walkaways and seating within the ride area. The Wolf Man ride could have a similar design with a lawn for seating, benches for eating, and perhaps a small kiddie play area.
I have a VAST variety of things I have interest in, among Nintendo this was also my childhood as my dad introduced me to “old Hollywood” and man am I glad he did! I think I’ll cry walking into this land..my dad died a few years ago and he would’ve been blown away to see this concept, can’t wait!
Already excited about Epic Universe but these videos are getting me even more stoked! Especially that expansion, with how much land it has there are so many cool possibilities!

It will be so incredible when Epic Universe opens, and I can wait to see how the lands will be used when they eventually have HHN hosted in these areas.
This is so awesome, I am very excited! I love universal monsters and I think a dark ride would be perfect for the land. The roller coaster sounds cool too
The environmental design of this area will be phenomenal! The show building for the main dark ride looks like it will be insanely cool! I can't wait to see this place!
what if it isnt Monsters? nah its gotta be. your past predictions on rides have been 98 percent spot on! for real! relistened to the old podcasts and its crazy how accurate they are!
In hindsight the series really started in 1925 with Lon Chaney's version of Phantom Of The Opera. Made Universal realise how popular gothic horror (and romance in that case) could be. I hope they put some homage to the "retroactively considered part of the series" film in there somewhere.
So far if they keep what they are planning for the land I would be extremely happy. But I feel like there should be a theater show later on. It would be cool if they brought back Beetlejuice and the graveyard band, but a show on the phantom of the opera, Van Helsing, or Abbott and costello meet the monsters would be amazing.
Great voice over work Alicia, excellent detail about the Classic Monsters attraction. With that Great voice, you should be part of the Universal Creative team, or Disney Imagineering.
I'm so excited about this land, but I really hope the arm-based ride vehicle has more flexibility for accommodating bigger bodies. I love the Forbidden Journey, but it's a real boob squasher, which makes it a little less fun.
I’m more excited for this land in EU than any other!!!😆🧛🏻♂️🧟♂️I’ve grown fond of the universal monsters because of the HHN houses, I went to HHN for my first time last year & loved the bride of Frankenstein house & screamed my brains out in the monsters collide house this year😂 I’m excited to have a year round spooky area in universal even if it doesn’t have jump scares. My dad grew up watching the universal monsters movies so Im excited for us to experience this land together. Thanks for giving us all the Epic Universe updates!❤🌎
I think they are aiming at something like in the Monster-based board game, Horrified. The board in that game is exactly like you are describing and includes all classic Universal Monsters and their ''homes'' which is awesome in my opinion! Great video like always!
I hope all of this is true. I know at one point the rumor was that "Monster Land" was going to be a tourist trap of sorts and it sounded very tacky and disrespectful to the IP. Give me that dreary European town! I'm also glad you compared the Black Lagoon ride to POTC (even though things can change obviously). When I first heard about that ride I was picturing something closer to Jungle Cruise and was disappointed. Thank you for making these videos!
I thought it was going to be an updated Jaws ride using the new Mack boat ride technology. Makes sense to do an indoor ride so two rides in the land won’t be shut down due to rain.
This is so exciting. We havn't been to DISNEY or UNIVERSAL since the 80s. I must find a way to take my mom who is about to turn 70! She follows all the park TH-camrs like Peter and Kitra and Theme park Stop. You really paint an exciting picture.
As excited as I am for this Universal Monsters area, it is a shame they got rid of the stage show. I'm sure the coaster will be fun, but there's still a long legacy of stage shows based around the Universal Monsters -- including Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue -- that'll soon be lost. The Universal Parks already suffer from a severe lack of sit-down attractions nowadays, so something more laid back would've been a welcome addition.
I'm so excited to see what this land will look like. I'm a sucker for anything classic Universal Monster related! I hope it's successful when it opens and is expanded further in the future.
I hope they open this land in 2025, the 100th anniversary of the release of Universal's original iconic Lon Chaney masterpiece Phantom of the Opera. A movie many fans consider retroactively to be part of the series, since it's massive success convinced Universal to adapt other classic gothic horror novels. And the Universal Monsters classic theme "Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake" was used as it's opening credits theme in many public domain copies of it. It would be a shame if this land didn't include a homage to Lon Chaney Sr, Universal's first iconic horror star. His phantom should be the one represented at the park.
While I am more interested in the intellectual property of How to Train Your Dragon, the Classic Monsters area has the potential to be the most creative and immersive.
I think this is universal's smartest use of an IP. Monsters are so classic they're now timeless. This land won't suffer from the rise and fall of franchise interest. These creatures continue to exist in our stories in one form or another. I think this will be their most successful property!
My guess is that they're designing the land like the board game Horrified. IF you look at the board for that game, it gives an idea of what the land should look like.
Cool I have the board game horrified and I didn’t think of that , that game also uses Universal’s own monsters, so it make since to have the land resemble the town in that game.
technically speaking, bruce the shark from Jaws is a universal monster..... this may be a big curveball, but i wonder if they are secretly bringing back jaws by fan opinion.
Oh I've been hoping this would happen. A land entirely themed around the classic monsters of old. After they closed down the Universal Monster Resturant I've been praying for something like this.
They can't be building building a family spinner and if they do they are stupid. This land is supposed to be scariest land. It is called epic universe and they scrap the theatre idea for a mack spinner about 2 weeks after Mack open one of the most epic coasters in the world with ride to happiness, surely that can't be a coincidence. A family spinner is not epic, I been on both cobra curse and Stormer chaser and there just ok rides nothing epic about them even if universal do the best theming ever it can't raise the experience to epic, where even if they just cloned ride to happiness with zero theming they would still have an epic ride that probably top veliocoaster and gwazi as best coaster in Florida. Epic universe looks good but not epic. starting from scratch they could do anything with all the space without constraints, I know it is mainly trying to bring in families and be direct competition with magic Kingdom but they should look at what let's magic Kingdom down. namely for families with older teens there is nothing extreme and the the older teens don't pressure parents to return and would rather go elsewhere after certain age. Universal should focus most of the park on families and kids but should have at least 3 big/extreme coasters for that older teen/young adult demographic. To open without one of the signature coasters of the moment (RMC/extreme spinner) is a big mistake and I guarantee that within a couple of years of opening they will realize this add top coaster to the hub.
There are several sections of the park allocated for expansion space, but this one in Monsters land is the only one listed as "Phase 2," which tells me there are no concrete plans yet for the others.
This is the main thing I’m looking forward to with epic, hopefully they do the monsters justice. I do wonder and hope the bride is featured heavily. Can’t wait to see the sets and hopefully animatronics in the main ride.
This is all so exciting. It's so cool to see an amusement park pushing the boundaries and going all in on immersion and new tech and just building really cool stuff. This must've been what it felt like in the early days of Disney Land.
In order for a ride vehicle to ride around again on the load platform there would have to be a gap between vehicles at the exact moment it is needed. Having worked Forbidden Journey for 3 years I can tell you that open gaps between vehicles isn’t common at all. In order for a gap to be made the vehicle would need to wait for the next gap and stop in place. Forbidden Journey has a separate load platform for guests that need longer boarding times and the vehicle will sit on that platform until a gap in the vehicle chain rolls around that it can be inserted into. If this happened for the main load station with a circular platform then then entire rest of the chain of vehicles would have to pause in order to make a gap when it is needed at a precise moment. Vehicles are only 6 seconds apart in the FJ station but that’s still long enough to be a jolt for the rest of the riders along the entire ride path.
I was just reading from the new load area patent, which seems to think it has a solution, somehow... But yes, this attraction will still have the stationary loading like FJ as well. It does seem that the ride vehicles may be spaced apart slightly more for this attraction than FJ. Not sure if that has something to do with the ride layout style being much different or not though.
Subscribe to never miss an update, because Epic Universe will be here before we know it!

I'm so excited about this land, but I really hope the arm-based ride vehicle has more flexibility for accommodating bigger bodies. I love the Forbidden Journey, but it's a real boob squasher, which makes it a little less fun.
This is the land that I absolutely can't wait for!!
This is THE land I'm most excited for here!!! 💯👏💫
This is the land I’m the second most excited for- the first is the hub!
This sounds like a Monster Kid's dream/nightmare come true! I will be there opening day!
Am I crazy for wishing the theater was kept instead of a spinning coaster? I'm not a fan of those unless they're more of a controlled spin.
I agree! I wish they would rethink the theater and do it instead of a spinning ride.
This is so exciting. We havn't been to DISNEY or UNIVERSAL since the 80s. I must find a way to take my mom who is about to turn 70! She follows all the park TH-camrs like Peter and Kitra and Theme park Stop. You really paint an exciting picture.
i’m a Nintendo fan but i know all of these lands will blow me away and will be so immersive i am super excited for this park to open
I’ve always wanted a themed area dedicated to the classic Universal Monsters.
I'm very excited for this specific land! I think overall it's gonna be visually amazing!
I'm loving this series, keep the updates coming! This and Super Nintendo World are the things I'm most excited about.
This is going to be fantastic! Great work putting this video together TPS
Amazing video! I am definitely most excited for this land and it’s dark ride. It will be amazing
I’m hyped for this!
Wasn’t the current rumor of the spinning coaster that it was going to be an Xtreme Spinner?
12:00 are there any other locations with an expansion zone allocated already?
There are several sections of the park allocated for expansion space, but this one in Monsters land is the only one listed as "Phase 2," which tells me there are no concrete plans yet for the others.
We need some phantom of the opera and wolf man representation
I’m ready to go there now lol.
It would be cool if after we enter into the land everything would be black and white
Hope they show some love for The Phantom of the Opera!!
