2009: A bunch of Indian students, bailed out of their final BE exams in pursuit of a passion. The passion of racing a bike at the Isle of Man. What they managed to achieve was nothing short of legendary, a podium finish. Team Tork went on to win more races at IOM TTXGP.
Tork today aspires to build a low cost electric motorcycle, and pursuit their passion in racing.

One of the best concepts coming from India. I am proud to be Indian!! I have seen some electrics models Japanese which go quickly from 0-60 but then there is no longer range or speeds after that! 3.5L as of now is a little in the Car territory, but soon I am hoping to see this in a grab able range...

This is amazing! This is what we need! However, they should still work on including a gearbox like Bramo e-bikes. Safety is important in any case!
But seriously, this is a beautiful first step. I hope to see the e-bike revolution real soon. I just hope we fix the electricity problem before that though.
Solar panels should power electric grids which will power vehicles. That, is proper use of energy.
Great to see these kind of things coming up in India .. I wish bigger companies take a note as they can mass produce and bring the cost down a lot .. And design a frame so that it can fit the bike and ride conditions much better
This is heartening.
Electric propulsion still has a long way to go yet with the battery cost, weight, size and range. And i reckon an exhaust note synthesizer is definitely called for ;)
its great to see a start up like this from india regarding electric bikes from some motivated youngsters..... guys take it to the next level range wise... 40kms is good for race ...need to improve on that aspect. it should be 200kms with the option extended range of 250,300 kms battery pack. and the fuel tank space is wasted here.better to have a battery pack inside than that square box which takes away all that appeal of fz.i hope u guys become the tesla or mission motors of the electric industry in india. all the very best.

Electric future. Great work by Kapil and team! Wish them all the best. In fact, such projects should be funded by the Government and there should be subsidies on vehicles or powertrains using alternate fuels/power.

Mind blowing..and this being developed indigenously is so pleasing to hear. Hopefully this tech is developed in a more usable way in the immediate near future and bring in the change the way we travel i.e. at the nature's expense.

Superb! now if you could make the batter compartment look a lil better and increase the range, remove the flashy sticker that reads electric cause tomoro everythin gonna be electric its gonna look silly... i would deffinitely want this kit...Perhaps for a GO KART!

Electric was always the future, it was just these huge oil corporations with deep pockets who left no stones unturned to either slow down or completely stop the innovation.
No way , charging time , power needs always keeps electric motors away
@Revisionism TV may be yes but , the power gasoline engine is giving won't be on battery, same for can u go to 100km single stretch within 5min charge , fuels fill within seconds , charging is main issue and will go on years to solve it ,

i was waiting for the full review. nicely done by PowerDrift. good job by the Team Tork on the idea, insane power but the price and the efficiency is going to be the concern . as mentioned in the video , may be the nxt 3-5 yrs can be the crucial .

Because then the Center of Gravity will change too much and handling the bike will become a tough task.
