It was waymo remotely driving their taxi. Cruise isn't, that's why cruise ran into all kinds of problems and accidents and finally got suspended due a critical event. So waymo is more superior due to them having drivers for their taxi
Please accept that Chinese are way ahead of America.
@user-km1bs4my1y nah they are still a 3rd world country, average civilian there still making less than $100 a month and living in cardbox
@@SupaChinido it may be so but USA is behind in technology now. The only thing that is US controls is world finance. Once China stops buying US treasury debt, USA IS DOOMED
28,000 for a Chauffeur driven car? No wonder they are chasing autonomous cars.
Why would it have to make a U-Turn?
she probbaly board car on a spot U turn is a necessary,
@@xinyiquan666 That's not what it looks like.
What exactly is wrong for having a u turn?
the guy is trying to crap on Baidu so bad
China does offer more services in a cheaper price range. 28k 😮😮
If it takes you 4 hours to get a taxi with 500 taxi means it doesn't work
TV man is Tesla fan boy and seems a little skeptical
I sense the host didn’t even want to do this interview, his tone of voice lacked enthusiasm or interest 😅 didn’t even bother to strike a good question or conversation. 😂
Phoenix, Arizona has robotaxis on demand. It's the largest autonomous vehicle zone in the world. 🌵
Chaotic drivers in China? You should go to South East Asia countries where 2 lanes road got 4 lanes of cars. 😮😮😮😮
This video is misleading.
These *ARE* actually REAL robotaxis.
As far as I know, the only reason many of them still have a person sitting in the driver seat is because of government safety regulations.
The local government gave permission for driverless operations only in certain restricted areas.
That was the reason why there was a person sitting at the driver seat.
The old man host is paid by Raymando to sound demotivated by this story.
where is TESLA ?
Tesla is inevitable.
@@danielhill3261 😂😂😂😂😂
So the fact that you don’t know the answer to that question is very revealing about your ignorance, to ask such a ridiculous question, suggest that you have not been paying attention.
So stay tuned, and you might learn something when Elon makes his announcement about the launch of their Robo taxis/app in August. Cheers 🥂

It's looks like we have a long way to catch up with mainland China and Japan.
The host is upset. He wants to hear bad news.
Hell, no. You just lost all respect.
I think it will not work in the US considering the amount of crimes and haters towards robot. I've seen Uber eats robot get harass by people.
China is way ahead of us in bullet trains, hypersonic missiles, and robotaxis. It’s not even close. 😂
highways, bridges, airports, automated container ports, 5.5G, robotic factories etc.....
I think China would be wise not to allow Tesla's robo due to security issue. Remember, they banned government workers from using Tesla? Well, if they allow Tesla's robotaxi, that's just defeat the purpose of the ban because the Robotaxi can just drive all over country.
Funny. I just watched a video from a white guy who lives in China (I believe his name is Jason, and his channel is Living in China) . He showed how easy to use robotaxi in china. Then TH-cam recommended me this. I feel like there are two China.
They are doing it in the city. Tesls goal is everywhere.
It is the same as Waymo, which is operating in most of the most profitable markets already. Do you think a Tesla robotaxi is going to be profitable sitting in a trailer park. The profit is in dense areas where you get short, expensive fares back to back. Not idling in some small town waiting hours between rides.
and yet nowhere right now
Everybody's goal is everywhere, the question is, do they have the capability to do it
EVERYWHERE !!!!!!
@@nolisto1 I don't think that is true. I think Waymo is starting in the most profitable areas and then will gradually spread, which they are doing, but I don't think they ever want to operate outside of profitable areas. It is no different than walmart closing stores in poor redneck counties.
Game over for Tesla!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂GO Short TSLA Bruno
Yes, China with a population of 1.2 bil can deploy enough remote human drivers to operate their fake robotaxis. Tesla is screwed.
To be fair they partnered Tesla up with Baidu
Meaning the Chinese Government just helped Tesla to catch up to autonomous driving level 4 which is where Baidu is at
Host : we don’t need this in US. My cousin would lose his Uber job.
The more I see these videos by mainstream media the more I know Tesla is in the lead with no one anywhere close. TESLA🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀.
A few problems I noticed….
Wuhan has just removed a night time ban on there being no driver behind that steering wheel of the robotaxi
And most importantly Baidu reported 4.1 million paid robo taxi rides up to Q3 of 2023
Each one of those robotaxis would have to do about 22 trips per day
So the wait is understandable until they get more cars on the road
That’s where Tesla comes as these two were partnered up by the Chinese Government giving Tesla a gift
Tesla is level 2 Autonomous
Baidu is level 4 Autonomous
He is trying ao hard to find something negative about this to complete his mission. 😂
Baidu has been experimenting Robotaxi for years. Tesla is still has some work to do IMO. Frankly, enthusiasm about success n eventually ability to monetize Robotaxi is ahead of time.
then YOU have not Ridden Tesla FSD V12.4.
@@markplott4820 Not to put down Tesla, not so easy to get regulatory approval and eventually monetize it. Would Americans want to give up their car and use Robotaxi?
@@kennySg101 - its Cheaper to offer $1 - $2 rides per mile , than paying MONTHLY car payments, LEASE, Insurance , Maintenance .
most Robotaxi will Subsidize MOST rides w/ Paratransit, Medicare , and WORK allowance.

From what I understand Tesla Has had Chinese FSD data in China for years why do they need to partner up with Baidu they can go it alone
Tesla is at level 2
Baidu is at level 4
Would never work in the US. The tires, battery etc would be stolen and car smashed up in one day.
The use of driverless buses is already in full use.
So far ahead isn't even funny
Tesla's "driver assist" is a joke. I want to see a comparision between 🇨🇳 and 🇺🇲 - Google's Waymo robo taxi and which two are better.
China new energy car can look for parking and stop in the lot automatically, without human being.
China will surpass US in both economy and technology in this decade.
I am pretty optimistic about it.
Change the destination to a hospital? What if I went unconscious?
That be as likely as an American taxi driver would probably rob you or worse. And you would probably give him a big tip to boot after waking up
Wah! They are doing this already with 500 or so in Wuhan, which is a 2nd tier city in China.
Shenzhen as well...
