    • @notan23
      @notan23 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Isn't there time for something new, tho? An evolution? As awesome as it is/was, I feel it's getting a bit old and watered down. Go more proggy!

    • @felipegiraldo8100
      @felipegiraldo8100 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@notan23 I dont think the answer is always going more proggy tbh, i mean they can start to do it but not getting completely into it, they are a Deathgrind band with black metal and slamming features, so it would be harsh to completely change the fórmula unless is just as i said, using prog formula just sometimes inna newer album.

    • @notan23
      @notan23 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@felipegiraldo8100 Yeah, just a bit more experimental a la Harvest Floor, because it's getting just a bit predictable. But that's just taste, I guess

    I'm 27 now, and was one of those kids at 16-19 who had a metal band and had no idea what I was doing but just knew everyone said I had brutal screams. I had too much tension and was also "inhale" screaming. Lots of stress and lots of vocal fatigue later I thought maybe I had really destroyed my vocal chords and would never be able to actually scream(or sing, as I've wanted to since I was maybe 12 but never asked for lessons and instead just learned guitar like every teenage boy).
    Your videos have helped me reclaim my screaming vocals in a healthy and comfortable way, which lets me play around with a lot of hobbyist Voice over and metal karaoke, so thank you. I eat up all your theory and analysis more than the reactions.

    So LONG AGO, since I heard them....!! Wow! I love this!!!....., it's such a journey to listen to black/dark metal. (Eventho I think, I called them "death metal"?; when I was younger....? Is black metal the same as death metal , you would say...?? ) I LOOOOOVE the melody and the composition of these guys! That's the difference between "just dark metal".....and AWESOME AND ALWAYS... CONSISTANCY IN TALENT!! Thank you for this lesson !!

    Man Travis’ goblin singing is one of the best things in music. So fucking cool and interesting and as weird as it sound, he somehow finds a way to make it work where pretty much no one else can.

    The lyrics are "and I count the days, till we expire our ways ×2" in the clean part before the song itself. It's a separate track that leads to it.

    Laure le Prunenec from Igorrr and Rïcinn is singing at the end, and Gautier Serre (the main guy behind igorr) also worked with them, he helped doing the sound design of the album ^^

    His "goblin singing" sounds like it has some sort of belt to it. A super forward placement, nasally falsetto that's got this music theater/broadway sort of tone going on. The first time hearing it when they released "One Day Closer..." made me lose my shit I got so excited hahaha. I would kill to watch/hear the studio recording session and watch the master at work.
