  • The second coming of the overnight MotoCamping series takes us from Southern Ohio across West Virginia to the Monongahela National Forest. Discovering many "new to me" backcountry routes along the way. Searching for the perfect campsite, cooking some chicken and veggies, and living in nature. Even if it is only for a couple days. It is always worth the pursuit.
    Thanks for watching and

    I’ve watched waaaay to many hours of adv videos since I got hooked about six months ago, and I gotta tell you, that was superb! Surprisingly so. Thanks!

      That means so much. I really enjoy creating the videos. And I'm trying to make the ones I would like to watch. This compliment is the one I enjoy the most.

      That is very nice to read. I really enjoy learning the ins and outs of the process. More than I thought I would for sure. It may be getting unhealthy at this point. Lol

    man, another good one, you have a good knack for looking for roads when your planning......amazing scenery, and i bet you were ready to hit that diner at 33 degrees lol sláinte

      A big part of the fun for me is finding the roads. I had a little help on the trip out with a box file from a local. But spent hours planning the trip home. Something about imagining what you might see, and then going to actually see it, is thrilling to me. And one of my favorite things is the diners for breakfast. I am always happy to see them. Thanks again ed

    Great job! As you can tell, just because the map shows it, it’s not always a road in WV. 🤣. I’m glad you found the Elk River road from Webster Springs. One of my favorites

    • @localrouteadv
      @localrouteadv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah and the opposite is also true. Just because it's not on a map didn't mean it doesn't exist. Several roads I found that way. The elk river road was a highlight for sure.

    You are like Ohio’s Sterling Noren when it comes to riding, camp setup, and cooking. Great job man! I have 4 day weekend coming up and was going to do Daniel Boone, but this vid may have twisted my arm to head back to Wild Wonderful West Virginia!

    • @localrouteadv
      @localrouteadv  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll be printing this out and framing it. Sterling is the man. Best compliment yet. Thanks so much. That's a tough call. Daniel Boone is a magical place. But I need to explore more of the Monongahela nf. I've spent much more time in Kentucky exploring. May even make it down there this weekend.

    Another awesome adventure! Really enjoy the short films! I had to look up the pronunciation, apparently it's pronounced "Muh-Nahn-guh-heela" which is different than every variation I had tried 😂 Superb filmmaking as always

    • @localrouteadv
      @localrouteadv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, that is not how I ever thought it would have been pronounced. But now it makes perfect sense. Appreciate the positive feedback. Because, well, 39 hours of editing on this one. Down from 48 on the first camping movie. I'm getting faster and hopefully better, but I don't see shaving much more time than I did in this one. Episodes like the soal series only take like 3 hours. Those were fun from beginning to end. The movie format can feel like work if I'm not careful. But I still love the creative aspect of it at the moment.

    Excellent! I love old train bridges. Ya need to get some good 50/50 tires on that beast😁. I have had good luck with the Trailmax Mission. They hook up a lot better than one might think they would by just looking at them. I really enjoy your content man, keep it up.

    • @localrouteadv
      @localrouteadv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for following along Dave. Really appreciated. Already have the trailmax on deck, I'm just trying to wear these stock tires out first. Had them on my 1290 super adventure and loved them.

    • @BigDaveTALKS
      @BigDaveTALKS ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@localrouteadv haha, so you already know about the Mission, good stuff right there. I will put those on my 1290 SA-R when I get back from Utah. I'm pretty sure that the Motoz Adv will be fairly wore out after about 4K miles.

      @@BigDaveTALKS they are hard to beat for all around longevity and traction. The motoz are a nice compromise for more traction and still good life. Nothing like new rubbers.

      @@localrouteadv exactly. I have put the Mission to the test for sure, well the rear anyway because I like a knobby up front, but I'm going with a full set next time.

      Thanks. And kind of. It's a mix of a few different routes followed loosely. There were many turn arounds and detours.
