There’s something about Korra’s theme song that sounds so melancholic at the start and then it gradually builds up into something that sounds hopeful.. if that makes sense
I was about 9 years old when the first episode of The Last Airbender premiered. I followed that show untill its finale. Legend of Korra came out awhile after and for some reason I just didn't watch it then. I'm 22 now and just finished all 4 seasons. All i can say is that its a damn good show, just like last airbender. It was different, obviously, but still good in its own right. Both teach actual ideas, morals and deep concepts, unlike most kids stuff today. They both create this universe that you cant help but fall in love with and want to be in. One of all time favorites
Same here. I'm 22 when I started watching Legend of Korra and I love them both equally. Both has different but important messages, they're special in their own way be it soundtracks, ideologies, character development, fighting styles and many more. But honestly I felt sorry for Korra for going through so much pain and heavily traumatised by the 4th season
this is the most unpopular opinion among the fanbase but here it goes: I love both series equally, and would not mind watching either of them over and over again. Shocking, I know.
i love how this song builds, it starts so low and then slowly builds. it is perfect for a hero who has been laid low and is about to rise to their strongest point.
its actually pretty chinese in pattern...... old chinese music had to do alot with the elements.... fire for fiercesness, fluid or crashes on the watery seashore, calmness of the earth and swirling of the air....
+Frost Prime I have binged ATLA 3 times, Season 1 and 2 (like up to ep. 4 LoK 4 times, and Season 3 and 4 3 times. I stopped in season 2 because I realized that ATLA came first.. lol
Funny how the first season was about a strong person learning it’s okay to be weak, to not be some perfect avatar. The final season is about a weak person learning to find their strength again. Kinda poetic.
I would love to see another avatar series with an earthbender, but sadly they said that they were done with the avatar tv series. EDIT as of May 2020: By the looks of the recent comments and some Emergency Awesome videos, all is not lost! Hoping that the new Avatar content will be just as awesome as the original! EDIT as of March 2021: I don’t know what to believe anymore
Can you explain what Korra is? I tried watching it some, but I don't understand what time period it is. I remember seeing characters from the last airbender old which was kind of depressing.
I JUST finished watching the last episode of the last seasons of korra. And I honestly have to say that That moment "we are bonded forever" is STILL probably one of my favorite moments, not only in legend of korra, but through the entire avatar series, rivaled by when Aang fused with the ocean spirit to beat the fire nation invasion. (apparently I like fusing with spirits xD) Just a question: (and also Btw.. Warning.. *HEAVY SPOILERS* if you haven't watched all of it yet. Be warned.) Have there ever been a more powerful moment in all of avatar history than when Aang, being the Avatar, who's already forever bonded with the great light spirit, Also temporarily merged with the great ocean spirit? The power of two supremely powerful spirits combined in the vessel of the Avatar, the only one who can master all four elements? and having access to ALL of his past lives strength and wisdom? I mean.. now that korra re-set the avatar reincarnation cycle, losing her connection with her past lives, so even if a future avatar merges with two supreme spirits again, that avatar won't draw strength from as many past lives as Aang did.
You can tell Aang's story is more for kids and pre teens and Korra's story is more for teens, Korra is honestly underrated and it doesn't get enough love, it's different and amazing! Idc if it's different, Korra is badass and I love her
The writing for Korra was awful unfortunately. Korra had flaws and the worst part about it is that she didn't have to overcome very many of them to be the Avatar. Aang had to overcome so much to become who he was in book 3. Korra was just kinda gifted from the get go. She wasn't very different in the end. Also....the show devolving into mechs was really bad.
@@Gongolongo I just rewatched the show recently and I can definitely agree on the fact that some parts of the show are terribly written, like the entirety of Season 2, pure trash that brings the whole show. However, only taking Seasons 1, 3, 4, there is definitely a good amount of character development for Korra. I'm also gonna have to disagree with you, Aang's obstacles weren't as deadly or dangerous as Korra's enemies, and by the end of the show he was pretty much the same kid just slightly more mature, eitherway he stuck by his pacifist ideals and did the right thing, of course he had to save the world from war. While the world during Korra was relatively at peace, thats just the natural order of things

+gokunumberone Not really. In terms of plot ATLA is way ahead. The story was way more thought out, had very good characters and character development (a lot of Korra characters lacked this completely). And had greater themes. The Legend of Korra is a great show and possibly my favorite of the 10's in terms of cartoons. But I feel like it wasn't on the same level as ATLA
+Hugo Roy And Mako and Bolin are really bland side kicks. Ozai was never meant to be an overly deep character, yet his motive's are very clear unlike certain Korra villains(First two seasons, mainly season. Ozai was born in the shadow of the great Iroh, yet he wanted to be a fire lord like his father. He even went that far to wife the granddaughter of Roku, and treat Zuko like he wasnt even his son (read the comics). He even poisoned his own father to take the throne. He was a classic power seeking king like how we know them from the Romans. I mean you could simplify him by saying he was just a power seeking villain, but that goes for all the villains in Korra except for Zaheer(one of the best villains imo, almost on the same level as Azula)
I will be honest. I enjoy both series very much. Their concepts are both so amazing and interesting. Aang: His Story was having to help save a world that thought him dead or missing twice. Having to grow and adapt while still trying to cope with a world that he left behind, and growth from a goofy kid into his own man. Korra: Hers was a story of trying to come to terms with the very nature of being Avatar. But not just that it's the very world evolving in front of her, and desperately trying to keep up.
Damn took me 7 years to finally watch legend of korra. So glad i finally got to it. Feels like it hits harder now that I'm an adult and actually go through some of the conflicts and struggles they talk about in the show.
"Do not give in to ten thousand years of darkness. YOU are the Avatar!" "I am locking you away for another ten thousand years, Vaatu!" FUCKING EPIC. Fight me on that, it's fucking epic.
Just finished Korra about 30 minutes ago as of writing this comment and man it was awesome, especially the finale. At the start I wasn’t too keen on Korra as I was so used to the motion of how atla worked, but man after going through each season I actually enjoyed it and regret every bad thing I said about it at the start. In a few years I’ll rewatch this cool series as well as atla.
I'm glad that you watched the whole series and enjoyed it as a lot of people hate on Korra and call her nasty things but then say that thye haven't even watched it . They are going forward with what other people think rather than actually watching the show .
It's time for a rewatch, what doy you think? Even though i have watched it four times this year already, I can't get enough of it, i love so much Korra!
Love legend of Korea and I loved airbender but for some of the part I cried cause it was really emotional. I swear the guys that created this are genius. Love it
Choco Wat i wished at season 4, korra had just went into the avatar state And FUCKED THIS MEGA GAINT MECH AWAY. yea, full moon would have been pretty too
+TheMytenmetz Well I think her Avatar State was seriously weakened after season 2. I mean, look how long it took her to beat Zahir, even with the mercury poisoning.
Thats because Zaheer was running away to let the poison do its work, plus the avatar state was only activated to keep her alive since her organs were slowly shutting down she was only fighting because she fought Zaheer killed her father
Also, yes, the Avatar State was severely weakened after Season 2. The Avatar State is when you use the combined powers of all the previous Avatars, but Korra lost her connection to the previous Avatars, so after Season 2 going into the Avatar State just meant fighting at the same skill level but with glowing eyes.
I was 3 years old when Avatar came out and 12 when LoK came on. I love the storyline of Avatar and the fighting and characters in LoK, so I love both shows equally! Love both soundtracks as well. :)
"When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change" This is such a beautiful quote, this is why the avatar shows are so good, that sort of quote tells you what being human is all about, even when we struggle we still push forward and do great things, amazing.
Man like, I was never invested in the Avatar world until quarantine times and up to now, but every time i rewatch both shows, I just can’t help but recognize how the entire Avatar world/series/universe is built. It’s so interesting.
i broke all my records while working out by deep breathing and focusing energy during the prelude and dramatically opening my eyes when the main part hits. then you just destroy the exercise. try it youll be surprised
One of my favorite songs in the series, which I am impressed with every time I listen to it, is a piece that makes me feel all emotions and sadness more than ever. And I want to leave you with this fascinating song with a beautiful quote. "You have light and peace inside of you. If you let it out, you can change the world around you."
I remember when I was younger I thought avatar was a stupid cartoon(I was into horror movies and stuff back then) Then I got the full ATLA series for Christmas as a gift and decided to watch it. Best decision of my life. That show alone probably changed my life. That's how much it impacted me. When I got the whole LOK series it all started over again. I loved both series so much, and just listening to the songs makes me nostalgic
That steady build into the swelling, triumphant, powerful rendition of that iconic theme will never fail to give me the greatest of chills. It just sounds so epic here.
Just finished watching both series. Never watched them as a kid so I don't have any nostalgia bias. Both are equally amazing and I hate to see people shit on LOK.
After listening to this i went back and watched all the episodes of 'avatar: the last airbender' again and it was like I had never seen it before. By far the best show nickelodeon ever had
This theme is uncannily perfect for the avatar state. Notice how the climax part is so short, something akin to how the avatar state just appears and disappears. Not to mention, the majority of the song is hopeful, citing that the avatar state isn’t solely about its power, but rather the hope it invokes on those it protects.

When we hit our lowest point we’re open to the greatest change
I love korra because she so pretty, brave, strong, beautiful and determined. Her tenacity and strife will not be forgotten.
I LOVE LEGEND OF KORRA AND AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER, THEY'RE BOTH RLY GOOD AND NOBODY CAN CHANGE MY MIND!
0:35 my whole body just flared up in goosebumps. It kinda hurts.
I will make a new avatar cartoon,
Wavorn Snowber
+Wizard Cretio anime*
The Lafon same thing.
"Do not give in to ten thousand years of darkness. YOU are the Avatar!"
"I am locking you away for another ten thousand years, Vaatu!"
FUCKING EPIC.

0:30 Admit it...when you were a kid you played this on loud speakers in your room
and pretended to go into the avatar state...
I still do. And I'm 17. :)
Lol
@CD Spirt 2020 Still doing it. 25
18..still going at it
20
korra my favorite character in the entire avatar universe my favorite incarnation of the avatar she’s the best
Love legend of Korea and I loved airbender but for some of the part I cried cause it was really emotional. I swear the guys that created this are genius. Love it
this music makes my heart runs so fast
Still wish there'd have been an episode with a full moon, just imagine op Korra... xD
Full moon + Sozin's Comet
Also, yes, the Avatar State was severely weakened after Season 2. The Avatar State is when you use the combined powers of all the previous Avatars, but Korra lost her connection to the previous Avatars, so after Season 2 going into the Avatar State just meant fighting at the same skill level but with glowing eyes.
I was 3 years old when Avatar came out and 12 when LoK came on. I love the storyline of Avatar and the fighting and characters in LoK, so I love both shows equally! Love both soundtracks as well. :)
The goosebump never ends
"When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change"
This is such a beautiful quote, this is why the avatar shows are so good, that sort of quote tells you what being human is all about, even when we struggle we still push forward and do great things, amazing.
From 0:00 to 0:30 is my fav part it sounds so nostalgic to me but also peaceful and sad idk how to describe it
1:20 is the best
You are completely right
Man like, I was never invested in the Avatar world until quarantine times and up to now, but every time i rewatch both shows, I just can’t help but recognize how the entire Avatar world/series/universe is built. It’s so interesting.
I just love how this theme encapsulates the life and rebirth of the Avatar. A hundred different faces, all connected.
TLOK makes me want to start being inspirational and talk about recycling ~
2022 and 24 yrs and still close my eyes till the beat drop and suddenly open them like the avatar 😂
Just watched this series and now I’m sad there isn’t more. This songs gives me the chills
This anime cured my depression. But finishing it gave me depression.
It's not anime but I get ur point
lol
0:30 pretend to be Korra fighting all villian with controlingg all element
My mom:wtf are you doing?is she okay?!!
when you hit your lowess point, you're open for the biggest change
I have this soundtrack in heart..
"When we hit our lowest point,
We are open to the greatest change"
AVATAR AANG
I really love how power and emotion are expressed within this track. So beautiful!
One of the few cartoons that age like fine wine 😍😍❤
at least aang didn't mess up the entire avatar cycle forever
+Saheth Edupuganti shots fired.
+Saheth Edupuganti wasn't quiet her fault tho^^ Was almost impossible to know that Unalak is such a greedy guy
Aang never had to fight a dark avatar so...
Yea but Aang wasn't an idiot so it didnt have to come to that.
I'm done with all this "Aang better than Korra" nonsence. Aangs enemies were way easier to see. Korra got betrayed really badly.
I still remember that moment when korra was crying and avatar aang showed up
i broke all my records while working out by deep breathing and focusing energy during the prelude and dramatically opening my eyes when the main part hits. then you just destroy the exercise. try it youll be surprised
I love this show so much! It may not be as good as ATLA but it's still incredible. Korra is an amazing Avatar.
I remember when I was younger I thought avatar was a stupid cartoon(I was into horror movies and stuff back then)
Then I got the full ATLA series for Christmas as a gift and decided to watch it. Best decision of my life. That show alone probably changed my life. That's how much it impacted me.
When I got the whole LOK series it all started over again. I loved both series so much, and just listening to the songs makes me nostalgic
Me too omg
i just finished avatar legend of korra
im open to the greatest change
I love her theme so much. But, my absolute favorite part starts at 1:13 just the whole build up to it, is amazing
That steady build into the swelling, triumphant, powerful rendition of that iconic theme will never fail to give me the greatest of chills. It just sounds so epic here.
You‘ll never become too old for Avatar 😌🙌🏻

ah ein Deutscher 😁 bin also nicht der einzige hier...
Le_ Khar_ Tel yeyyy ein Deutscher :p
I love korra
Just finished watching both series. Never watched them as a kid so I don't have any nostalgia bias. Both are equally amazing and I hate to see people shit on LOK.
Everytime I listen the first 10 sec...... Goosebumps everywhere
Love this and the Legend of Korra! And season 3 was just as good as any season in Avatar! 💞
I remember the excitement and anticipations I felt when legend of Korra was announced. I miss that.
no matter what anyone says korra is amazing
After listening to this i went back and watched all the episodes of 'avatar: the last airbender' again and it was like I had never seen it before. By far the best show nickelodeon ever had
This theme is uncannily perfect for the avatar state. Notice how the climax part is so short, something akin to how the avatar state just appears and disappears. Not to mention, the majority of the song is hopeful, citing that the avatar state isn’t solely about its power, but rather the hope it invokes on those it protects.
Korra sitting on that cliff top at the end of book 1 is one of the saddest moments in either series.
