Turning a Threaded Pill box - Capsule

Woodturning is a fascinating art that requires skill, patience, and creativity. In this project, a threaded pill box or capsule was created from Sycamore wood using carbide turning tools from Easy Wood Tools. The use of carbide tools ensures precision and accuracy, allowing for smooth cuts and clean finishes. Once the turning was complete, the pill box was finished with red spirit stain to enhance the natural beauty of the wood. The next step was to apply Yorkshire grit, a fine abrasive paste, to bring out the shine and polish the surface. Finally, a coat of microcrystalline wax was applied to protect and preserve the finished product. The combination of these techniques and materials resulted in a beautiful and functional piece of art.
