Hi Mercedes, I loved this video, very well explained. Did want to say I had a awful experience with a HR Director. While it hurts what I went through, I have since forgiven her. I've come to enjoy your content and I love your personality ☺️
Hi Damien! Thank you so much! I too have had an awful experience with an HR director! I hope videos like these can help more of the RIGHT people launch successful HR careers, so we can all navigate the world with a little less hurt. I am wishing you the very best in your HR Career! 💕
@@MercedesSwan I meant to add that she was a TH-camr who I thought was a kind person, I don't mean a HR Director at a job I worked at. I hope this helps clear it up!
@@MercedesSwan It was crazy because it was all over a misunderstanding that could have been easily discussed with me. Instead, the person turned into a mean girl and threw a hissy fit. Very not HR like, especially for a director if you ask me. Directors usually have to be patient, even given it was a small mistake.
Hi Takisha! This is a great question! Yes for the most part head hunter describe a recruiter who works for 3rd parties or search firms. However, candidates would call me a head hunter because I would reach out to candidates and encourage them to apply (sourcing) like a 3rd party head hunter even though I was in-house. I think head hunter is a less common word for in-house or 3rd party sources or recruiters but is still used informally.
I would love to chat with you if you want me to be your coach or mentor during your Recruitment Career PIVOT! Here's my booking link: calendly.com/mercedesswan/info

What would be the role of a head hunter and does that fall in 3rd party category?
