I am a former company driver @ Schnieder, I came off the road in 2005. I loved all the Personel at the OC's and cafeteria,and mechanics..Even on the road the company got me back on the road as soon as possible.. I reccomend Schnieder to all Drivers..
How does a truck driver drive for many years and does not crash in the winter time driving through icy mountains?
@@aacc2216 Drivers listen to weather reports so that hopefully they don't attempt to drive on ice until the roads are adequately cleared. Did anyone warn drivers before the huge pile up on I-35 near Fort Worth in February 2021? Was there an advance warning to the drivers?

These live feeds are definitely beneficial, although, the consistent low volume issue are frustrating, especially with softer, lower voices.

I'm considering coming to Schneider. Was looking at the website and noticed you guys have a walmart dedicated in my area for new drivers ( Sturtevant, WI.) My question is 1. What would the average starting miles be for a new driver and 2. After you get your cdl and start hitting the road with a trainer, are you assigned a trainer for the account you requested? Hi Tony. There are a couple Dedicated positions in that area so it depends but the position we think you're referring to averages around 1,600 miles per week. I'm interested in driving for Schneider I currently have my class A with air brake restrictions removed but I havnt drove a tractor trailer in almost 9yrs. Do you guys offer refresher training and training on top of that?

It depends on the driving job. Schneider can help you get your CDL with our up to $7,000 in tuition reimbursement to trucking school. That means you would go to a trucking school, get your CDL, and once hired on with Schneider, we'd help repay your school loan.

How long is training for tanker
Our tanker orientation/company training is 3 weeks for experienced drivers and 5 weeks for inexperienced drivers.

Why have to wait 60 or 90 days at all ?? Good companies all provide benefits as of Day 1 when hired in. No waiting. that is BS.
ON THAT JET SET PROGRAM WHEN SCHNEIDER FLYS THE DRIVER BACK HOME THEN TO WHEREVER THEY NEED A DRIVER WHO PAYS THE EXTRA CHARGE THE AIRLINE IS GOING TO CHARGE FOR EXTRA BAGS INCLUDING A HEAVY TOOL BOX? AIRLINES ALSO CHARGE FOR OVER SIZE BAGES ? WHO PAYS ?

I have a question. Is anyone in GreenBay required to work for 6 hours for free, like Schneider requires its owner operators to do?
Does schneider pay the cpm on air mile ? If the driver drives back to o.c. to get to their car to get home they get paid for driving the truck & hook into a trailer. I know schneider will not pay the driver for bobtailing back to the o.c. or drop yard to get there car to go home for home time. So I really don't think schneider will pay extra for your personal belongings ? So where does a driver store there property at so it doesn't get rip off ? Does schneider really care ?

Schneider is unable to hire drivers who do not currently have Work Authorization from the CIS (Citizenship and Immigration Services). We also require our drivers to have a residence in the United States and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (which requires proof of U.S. residency).
If you need assistance in obtaining Work Authorization from the CIS, you should contact the U.S. Consulate closest to your residence. You can also find information on the internet site www.state.gov.
