Aespa really outdone themselves this time! That first image of a cross in the ground with bodies inside is believed to be a reference to a scene in Neon Genesis Evangelion, quite fitting considering the themes of aliens and grandiose battles.
No cuz when Supernova came out I knew it was a pre-release but I have to say... I was more than sceptical of them actually topping it. Supernova is a 15/10 and would have been Aespa's best title track. Like I don't know how to explain it but I just genuinely didn't think they'd pull through with Armageddon. I'll say the same thing about Aespa I said about XG. Now that they've done this song, we need a project with this unique blend of Hip-Hop/Dark R&B as the focus. I noted that XG must do a complete rap project since they did "Woke Up." It just makes sense to capitalize on your biggest song and fill in that sound with an entire body of work to complement it. While Aespa's album was terrific throughout, no other song had the same impact as this and Supernova. They need at least 6-8 tracks of just straight hard, hitting numbers like this, and it will go down as one of the best projects in K-Pop history.
my theory is that Armaggaedon is the merging of dimensions causing all these creatures, alien-ish stuff to come out. They’re talking about an imminent event in Supernova. IMO in the Supernova MV at the end everything that’s in the city is destroyed because Giselle was so pissed off since Ningning ruined her birthday that she turned the time back causing chaos. Armaggaedon is what happens after this chaos, it’s on earth but everything is distorted even humans. *ACTUALLY I THINK Supernova might happen after Armaggaedon basically Arma MV explains how the girls got their superbeing powers in Nova MV from. They look too confident in Supernova it seems like they learned to use their powers on earth in contrary to Arma MV where they are hostile to the idea of accepting their alter egos (at the end of the MV they finally morph in alien superbeings who are able to transform into anything)* Aespa is either running away/hiding or trying to fight from their alter egos/nature. (Winter has doppelgängers, Ningning is chased by the weird tentacle creature etc) Finally as we see BEFORE and during the “Throw it back” breakdance, They are finally all transforming into their alien-like giant alter ego : Winter’s star mark on her neck is shining a lot, the camera focuses on it and we see wings appearing on her back. (Plus we see a scene where she stares at a huge eye and they seem to be exchanging some sort of liquid DNA which connects them) Karina gets caught by a gigantic hand with water drop nails (it’s her alter ego alien giant hands) and morphs into water. Giselle’s face gets distorted and also turned into pixels in the MV. (Giselle doesn’t have as much scenes as the other girls sadly but camera is focused a lot on her face meaning this is where she will be transforming) Ningning’s eye turn red with her super being butterfly icon on it then her eye is hidden by a huge rocky patch (when shes formed into an giant alien) They are finally accepting their new forms and the MV ends in the same pool/jacuzzi room they were in at the beginning but it’s destroyed now. I FORGOT something, the new lore of Aespa is testing their powers on Earth and bringing strange phenomenon (Supernova and Spicy MV) while also being able to duplicate themselves but also having indesirable clones (Drama, Armaggaedon), in the MV there’s a filter that tells if one of the girls is 100% human or not. They get stalked by cameras, they are chased to find out which ones are real. It’s the whole plot now. “Who are they, where do they come from” No Black Mamba or Kwangya anymore I guess
@@sana.4.a they defeated black mamba in girls, black mamba was a virus. kwangya is still around. see references to naevis, Winter got the mark in the beginning of the MV, her first solo she sings while being bit by the bats, they turn into light while biting her in that spot on her neck.

They look too confident in Supernova it seems like they learned to use their powers on earth in contrary to Arma MV where they are hostile to the idea of accepting their alter egos (at the end of the MV they finally morph in alien superbeings who are able to transform into anything)*
Aespa is either running away/hiding or trying to fight from their alter egos/nature. (Winter has doppelgängers, Ningning is chased by the weird tentacle creature etc)
Finally as we see BEFORE and during the “Throw it back” breakdance, They are finally all transforming into their alien-like giant alter ego :
Winter’s star mark on her neck is shining a lot, the camera focuses on it and we see wings appearing on her back. (Plus we see a scene where she stares at a huge eye and they seem to be exchanging some sort of liquid DNA which connects them)
Karina gets caught by a gigantic hand with water drop nails (it’s her alter ego alien giant hands) and morphs into water.
Giselle’s face gets distorted and also turned into pixels in the MV. (Giselle doesn’t have as much scenes as the other girls sadly but camera is focused a lot on her face meaning this is where she will be transforming)
Ningning’s eye turn red with her super being butterfly icon on it then her eye is hidden by a huge rocky patch (when shes formed into an giant alien)
They are finally accepting their new forms and the MV ends in the same pool/jacuzzi room they were in at the beginning but it’s destroyed now.
SCREAMS "BLADE" !! This MV just set a whooooole new bar...its insane...this and secong place ENHYPEN - BTHB
someone said the upside down cross and the place where they dance with the supreme being at the back is a reference to neon genesis evangelion. something like terminal dogma and the supremebeing is a reference to lilith
I’ve been waiting ur reaction sooooooo long!!!!!
You are the best reactor in the market so far to me!
And yea. Both songs of Aespa this time are so jaw breaking!!!
Bravo 😘
I have been waiting for you to review this mv and you did not disappoint!
Im glad im not the only one who, though the beginning, reminds them of a quiet place😭
been waiting for your reaction pd
armageddon is really good song and mv at the same time
i think it's tied to kwangya & multiverse infused to their concept. their short MV for all album track reference as universe each. Supernova is luminous explosion of star. it's aespa in every universe become one triggered by Supernova so Armageddon happen.
I think it's uncanny how you talked about parallel lines representation in the MV and their next tour concert is going to be called parallel line!!! WOW
This is definitely my favorite this and mine which is one of their best b-sides. Also it’s been two months Supernova is now at 97 million views that’s insane
THEYRE INSANE also! Dreamcatcher ootd please! I’d love to see a reaction!
Every reaction video I watch of this video, I learn something new about the video. This MV is extreme high level/.
Aespa is the new Revolution there's no argument about it❤
their album is so cohesive too... really great release from SM
its very addictive. And I am already high for this song.
this is why min hee jin is fvcking scared of them kjjj
i was holding my breath the whole time watching you react 🥲
Aespa ascended for sure
you should combine this Armageddon album experience with Liu Cixin's Three Body Problem trilogy. it gives you goosebumps at somepoint.
Juz luv the music. Since my mind is blown away by the mv. I think it gonna take a while to piece it all together. Such a deep story..
