This really is a brilliant business model. Thinly sliced wagyu beef, you figure several meal's worth out of one big piece. Rice and veggies are relatively inexpensive. A few slices costs 25+ dollars which might be the cost of maybe half the portion that it is being sliced from. AND you cook it yourself which reduces the cost of labor for staff to cook it for you. Finally, you cook it the way you want it. Genius. Steak houses in general are pretty good business models.
@@Timedelayedfuse very true initially, I think it can take about 2 years for a restaurant that isn't a chain to be profitable. I was just saying I think it's a good idea given it's thin cuts of top quality beef which probably covers the entire cost of the cut after maybe 20 guests? They are reducing the cost of labor by having the customer cook their own meal, and thus reduces the amount of necessary staff. I think I'm just intrigued by the simplicity is all, not suggesting they are mega wealthy now
Wow, that looks yummy as well as fun to do. Great that they also cater to the solo patron. I hate it when you go into restaurants and when you say just 1 they get all frowny.. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I love the individual food places in Japan like this grill/bbq place, ramen, sushi, etc. I really like the idea of being able to enjoy the food myself and eating alone. Maybe cuz of my social anxiety, but man I'm vibing with Japan
They have these, I have more than one near my house it's not just for solo you still get a nice table and stuff but it's all you can eat. They do have places with sets or meat selections tho and as you can guess it's more prevalent in asian markets or shopping centers. Don't get me wrong everyone and their mother loves bbq meats like this but only super big chain places are in like shopping malls. Also most people don't take their kids, or they do and they're usually like. . .6-10 or an infant so they're locked into a baby seat.
Bruh they exist in the US. You could say the same for hibachi grills. Tired of these “this could never work in the US.” Like it’s shit here, but not THAT shit.
I'm 29 and absolutely HATE menus acessed by QR Code. Can u imagine for older people? or someone with some disability? or just someone with low battery or without their phones for some reason? Life shouldn't be dependant of electronic devices :'(
@Dominic Monterosso I went to a Outback this year here in Brazil, and I swear to you, they only have the QRCode option, I even asked what they did with their menus, and the staff keep saying that even tho they still have it they can't allow any client to use it. Seriously, I was lucky someone in the staff have a phone charger, or I would leave without eating they were pretty clear about it.
I'm disabled and rarely leave my home. I have a landline phone here and a cheap TracPhone to use for emergency in the car. I have no need for a Smartphone. More and more places now expect you to have a Smartphone for discounts, club membership bonuses, coupons and ordering. I really hate to spend extra money to buy a Smartphone and plan when I really don't need it for a phone. A GPS directions would be nice and it would save me a little on purchases.....
Wow.....got here late for the party! As always, your videos are greatly appreciated. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful experiences. All the best to you from Charlotte NC USA 🇺🇸 ❤🌵🌾🌿🌻🌿🌾❤ Have a happy day! 💛
I was trying to explain those hot pot restaurants you always show, and how you get the soup and get to cook everything in it, which I think is cool because the food is as fresh as possible and cooked just how YOU like it. My mom's response: "....you have to cook it yourself? At a restaurant?" She doesn't get the point lol it's called full customization. We have salad bars and build-your-own-taco places, it's not THAT confusing XD
Thank you for distracting me from my pain while you made me starving! I really appreciate your style and quality of videos! BTW been missing Ms Dimples!
OMG that truffle oil looked sooooo good. The egg yolks in there were beautiful. Usually I give a hard pass on the majority of things you enjoy eating (hot & spicy things😹) but I would eat ALL of that 👍. DeLish 😋
US definitely needs more places like these. Just when you think you have it all, someone QR codes some amazing Wagyu to their plate in less than 5 minutes lol
I think the BBQ needs to be a little hotter. Meat should never be grey when done cooking. I had the Korean BBQ place I went turn up the grill a little to get the char on the meat. The dipping sauces look amazing.

Restaurants in general have a very low profit margin and very high turnover rate.

It’s actually way cheaper than that. He ordered the egg and salad as extras. The meal itself can be $8 to $15. His was “pricey” because it was wagyu
“The soup seems to be lightly salted water” 😂 idk but this got me
love it 🤣
I been to cheap noodle places where the soup is a boubillon or flavor pack dissolved in a bowl of hot water. So, been there, done that.

A5 Wagyu for $25? That honestly sounds too good to be true. A5 wagyu here in Canada normally costs at least $100+
@설탕 every Dancingbacon videos i think
yeah kokomi
Wagyu usually imported from Aussie, which is not far from Singapore tho
true-
That's because it's a small portion
This is a place I'd like to go. EVERYTHING looked so yummy, and I think it's fun to cook your own meat, the way you want. Thank you for sharing!!😋😸
no anything but my meat! i prefer cow meat please not my meat

I love your Korean/Japanese BBQ videos as well as all of your hot pot videos. I wish we had more restaurants like that in my area! 😊

lucky!

Nah, they definitely exist in the US. Went to a Korean grill once with my family in Texas. They're just not as common.

Looks delicious! Never saw that tamago sukiyaki truffle sauce before, would love to try it :)
Wagyu beef......never had that but one day I will try it

This is perfect for me! I love eating out but going alone seems to get me all sorts of sad and confused looks. This is made for me!!!
Love this type of video♥️

as someone who eats rice in a very small portion, i was scared the meat was gonna ran out first before finishing the rice haha

Hey same city!!!
Dancing Bacons always show the best place to eat! I want to go out and eat like you too...
Just an educational heads up: A5 Wagyu has 12 possible BMS rankings (beef marbling score).
The best meat possible would be an A5 BMS 12 cut of beef.
So this is A5 but a lower BMS ranking?
@@will16320 At that kind of place and price yes.
you know he like this place because he did 3 episodes of this restaurant
This place seems really cool, I like the fact that you cook your own food and everything is through the app... and the food look delicious
Something so satisfying watching that thinner sliced Wagyu curl up like a piece of bacon.
BUT IT LOOKS REALLY good
really nice, no noise in the background. What a great video!!
