The same here... There is one about an hour from where I live, my room mates and I enjoy going every so often. The prices are well more than a dollar per plate, but still pretty reasonable and it's nice to try a variety of dishes. I wish we had a lot of these options. They do the gatchapon prizes differently too. Instead of a chance every five plates they will show a short animation themed around whatever characters were being offered as prizes and the sushi chef character. After a few of them shown you would automatically get a prize.
$3.50 here in Orlando, and you get a prize every 15 plates. The prizes are really only worth a dollar though lol. Also there’s no tap at the table and no holes in the table for utensils…when you order drinks they come on a little robot :)

@@JanetLeeLY Learn which varies are cooked. Like shrimp is always cooked. There are lots of non-raw sushi (unless you also don't eat raw vegetables.) If you are in doubt, get vegetarian sushi.
I went to a large Asian marketplace today and because of this channel, I recognized a great number of items! I was able to pick out yummy noodles and snacks! That was super exciting and fun for me 😊😊😊😊
I must be one of the few people who's thinking "phone... entertainment... when you're at a restaurant???" Personally, I believe going to a restaurant is one of those times you DON'T use your phone. Assuming you're not going alone, Is the other person / people you're going with not entertainment enough? Maybe I'm too opinionated but if someone whipped their phone out mid-conversation or something, I'd consider that rude. We're too attached to technology.

We have Kura in the USA where i live. The plate game and characters are the same as the one you are visiting. No green tea or hidden compartments at the tables though. They have a wait staff come by and bring you drinks. It's more Americanized in that respect. Everything is conveyor belt system just like the one you are visiting too. It's a wonderful experience.
When I get a chance to travel to Japan, I will definitely be using your videos to guide my cuisine experience! This place looks like a lot of fun and super delicious
Here in the united states, you're guaranteed a prize every 15 plates because you follow a hero that needs "5 plates" to power up twice to defeat the villain. I wish there was more variety in the sushi here tho! The ones in japan look so good.
I wish Kura Sushi would open a store here in Monterey. Something like this would be great for the tourist trade and the sushi would be extremely fresh because the town is right on the water.

@J F Because over here people don't know how to act. Japanese people are much more in tune with this type of stuff. Did you see the bowing person cartoon when you order food. It's great, they're so patient and nice in Japan because they're a collective society rather than individualistic so less people to act up and ruin stuff like their vending machines that serve hot food, etc.

Hey miss bacon. I ate at one of those sushi belts that had a pack man game. 15 plates to get a pack man ball with prize. Pretty fun to see what you get. Sushi not bad either. Even ordered some tempura to finish the meal. Even the mocha balls with bean paste was tasty. Keep up the vids. Happy new year from the USA.
The Kura here in the US is like $3 a plate these days. Well at least one one here in Ga. I can only imagine how much the special orders like ramen tempura are. The concept is almost the same amd the seections are very similar as well.

They're a chain here in the US. You have to eat 15 plates to win a prize, though some locations do offer you the chance to buy the prize if you want one but not spend $80 USD to get 15 plates. But it's still one of the cheaper places for Sushi. Plus some locations will have a server robot that brings you your drinks. I've even seen a few with a bar to order drinks while you eat.
My friends and actually went to KURA in Orlando, Florida yesterday!! I was thinking maybe it's the same one, and it definitely is the same company! I had so much fun because I always wanted to go to a sushi conveyor belt restaurant like that after seeing them in your videos.
With there being Kura even in the USA now, it's great that the culture finally spreads further beyond Japan and Asian Culture! Only negative is the prices in america are much more pricy, but it's SO worth it for a birthday visit!

Kura is a great experience if you'd like to expand your sushi palette but omg it was a hassle being a worker there. You constantly had to worry about the conveyer belt being full while customers would order 4 items at a time even though you were already backed up trying to fill the empty conveyer belt. If you go to one of these places PLEASE finish your plates first instead of ordering a barrage of plates to the point where you can't even put them on the table. We've had customers do this to the point where other customers couldn't get their orders because the delivery conveyer belt would be backed up with food that people ordered but haven't taken off yet because they ordered so much that nothing else fits on their table so then it ends up backing up the entire kitchen because of 1 table.
Was literally at a Kura last night here in Arizona, party of 5. Every single one of us got the Maki roll prize. Also our bill was $392 BUT we had fun and the food was very good! It was busy so the main belt was empty most of the time, so having the option to order was nice
Roughly $78 per person? I guess the only thing you’re paying for is the novelty of the revolving sushi. Doesn’t seem worth it to me when you can go to a sushi restaurant, get more sushi, and pay less.

I don’t like seafood very much (I’m picky with fish but I really wish my tastebuds liked it more) so I don’t tend to eat sushi (inari is the exception, fish free and delicious), but seeing that they add other meats like beef and pork and the best pork part, bacon, makes me really want to try that place out. Had my mouth watering 😂. Not to mention I would be super hooked on trying to win a gacha prize as well lol
In the US Kura has been opening more and more places and I really enjoy going, but I feel like they should have kept the Japanese way of things a bit more. All of ours lack the hot water and green tea at the table, and the entire restaurant is a lot smaller. Though I will say they have actually started putting the wasabi at the table now in that little jar, it use to be you had to ask for it to be brought out and they brought it on a plate to you. So I hold out hope that they will get the green tea at the table.
i've tried this type of restaurant before in Las Vegas in the US, definitely wasn't as cheap but definitely worth the experience! but once i finally visit Japan i will try this one place for sure!

I always thought its pretty common for sushi conveyor belt to exist in Asia, since where i leave theres a a few sushi conveyer belt sushi restaurants. But we dont gave those gatcha toy games tho, idk maybe there is one where i live but i just didnt do research
We have one of these restaurants here in Dallas (Plano, to be precise) and I need to get out there more often, because it's really good. Cheap and tasty and they make pretty good ramen while they're at it. After 5 or 6 plates, a bowl of ramen, and dessert, on average? I'm usually good to go and I get out for relatively cheap. Next time I go to Japan, whenever that is, I'm seeking this out because it's even cheaper than it is here in the US!

I live in CA in the USA there is a Kura Sushi near where I live and it was a delight going there. The sushi wasn't under a dollar but was still very affordable (at least in comparison to other places) and was very yummy. The other food they sold there was great to! They even had a tetris collab recently that was pretty cute.
There's one of these places near where I live and they have a desert that is a deep-fried taiyaki with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream and it's the best.

Ohh!!! I went there. They have Kura in Texas. I love their Sushi 🍣 and their Ramen. They are the best! To me, I give that restaurant a 9 1/2 out of 10 guys.
I didn't know sushi could come with beef and pork instead of fish! That's good to know for allergies and stuff. If I ever visit Japan again I'll have to stay on the lookout for sushi places that do non-fish options!

$32!? I know this was a year ago, but you can get one mediocre meal for $32 in the States. Getting 2 meals of sushi for that price is amazing!

We have a Kura near us, too, and it is $3.50 per plate now, minimum. It feels so expensive. Special order plates can be as high as $12!

It will cost double or triple in the US. There are non-Kura rotating sushi bars in some places, they are better than the Kura US location I went to.

I live in CA in the USA there is a Kura Sushi near where I live and it was a delight going there. The sushi wasn't under a dollar but was still very affordable (at least in comparison to other places) and was very yummy. The other food they sold there was great to! They even had a tetris collab recently that was pretty cute.

We have these in California, USA! I've been to one near San Francisco and one in Los Angeles! The sushi is decent and it is always fun!

I like that there non fish items like the beef and onion rings as well as sushi. That it was $32 US is pretty cool as well. Like the concept.

There's one of these places near where I live and they have a desert that is a deep-fried taiyaki with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream and it's the best.

I highly recommend putting a thick sweet sauce, which is a bottle with a blue lid, to the beef sushi too.

Ohh!!! I went there. They have Kura in Texas. I love their Sushi 🍣 and their Ramen. They are the best! To me, I give that restaurant a 9 1/2 out of 10 guys.

I love Kura Sushi. Its in my opinion the best conveyor belt sushi chain in Japan.
I didn't know sushi could come with beef and pork instead of fish! That's good to know for allergies and stuff. If I ever visit Japan again I'll have to stay on the lookout for sushi places that do non-fish options!
