Teppenyaki is the art of food magicians mesmerising hungry patrons with their culinary tricks and then serving them miniscule portions of average food for humongous prices over the top prices!!! Can you hear the owner laughing out the back counting his huge profits!
A time sensitive meal, due to the Hotel clients and Hotel serving speed , but he did a damn fine job on the steak,,searing and seasoning each end. Tasty. I would go back to that one.
@@rogerwidmer5688 I laughed at how at first he took like a third of wasabi and put it on a single piece of meat and right after for the next piece he barely touched I think pepper.
I mean you can eat as much Wasabi as you want but If you pay like 400Dollar or what ever, you better have a sense for the taste of that meat, don't you?
I like how every little piece gets its own detailed attention instead of just a big ol pan full of stuff tossed and stirred together or just couple steaks just tossed once on each side
@@diobrando5549 a friend recently treated me to a $300 meal including a steak that cost over $200 - yeah it was tender and buttery but I won't go back for that when I would prefer an $8 piece of home-cooked fillet steak that will be more satisfying - and without all the hoo-ha - I'm thinking this kind of tomfoolery is likely more associated with the fact that beef in Japan typically cost about 10x what it did in Oz or the US so was seen as a luxury food deserving special treatment.

$250 for a meal… not cheap, but then again that was quite a big piece of Wagyu and in a fancy establishment. These are the best “fall asleep” videos I know about.
These videos are great, and the food always looks amazing, but I really wish he would give a rating or review or some sort. Feedback on taste, preparation, cooking method and technique, or just overall experience would be interesting.
I think that would probably detract from the style of the video if it was included...however, maybe some separate videos that go over "ratings" for the main videos would be interesting to watch. Though it might also be rude to do that. Especially when they allow filming of the experience.
does anyone else use these videos to fall asleep?
Yep
Nope, just flirt my hunger
They’re great right 😂
Dat sizzling sound b like a noise machine for sleepy timez

Just the nicest way to wind down watching these cooks at these beautiful restaurants.
Mr. Onai of Palace Hotel Tokyo is my favorite chef. He is originally a French chef, but when he cooks it, it becomes very delicious.
Steak looked amazing. I love watching these people perform their craft.
They love emptying your Wallet.

What impression does the bill total amount make on you, taking into consideration the portion size?
