With Klay Thompson out of the door Golden State found themselves in a precarious situation and had to act quickly. And quickly they did. With in a week of losing Klay they have already signed De’Anthony Melton and traded for Buddy Hield as the Warriors appear to have a plan in place to get back to being title contenders post Klay Thompson and there are 4 key reason as to why Golden State haven’t closed their championship window just yet.

Spot on. All I really hope Kuminga can do is stay focused on D and rebounding as much as anything. With his athleticism he can be a lockdown defender and get a lot of offensive boards and putbacks. Can’t wait to see him shine!

It’s possible the warriors have had a good off season they really need to make the move for Lauri Markenan and find a way to keep kuminga and they will be easily on top.
Then you’re not a warriors fan plain and simple we don’t claim you I don’t care if we gotta start Danny Devito we’re always title contenders we don’t need the Monstars to be hopeful to win the championship what kind of person you are you’re so dull and stiff please never call yourself a warriors fan ever again .
Keep in mind the dubs were only a handful wins off of being the 5/6 seed while draymond was suspended for a good portion of the season

As long as they have Curry for offense and Dray for defense they just need guys that get along, hit their shots, play defense, and fit the system to win a title. Klay honestly wasn’t all that important to the last title run. Poole was a more than sufficient replacement then and he was only that good because he was playing next to Curry and hadn’t gotten punched in the face yet. Buddy and Melton are both better defenders and more efficient shooters than the Klay and Poole. And they’re more unselfish. Wiggins is still a wild card, but with Klay and Poole gone, there should be plenty more shots for him and Kuminga to score 20+pg each. GP3 is there. They’re literally just a Looney away from being the championship Warriors again

@@basketballreach1. Curry’s gravity doesn’t mean anything. He is aging up and needs a second star. If the scorers around him aren’t elite second options (they’re not), that’s too much pressure on Steph.
2. Melton is a good addition, but isnt really a game changer. He is injury prone and affects the game not as much as Klay.
3. Hield is not defensively versatile at all. There’s a reason the Pacers traded him and the 76ers didn’t resign him.
4. Kuminga is not making a leap to be a second star to Curry all of a sudden. That just doesn’t happen. He’ll be a bonafide third option-type player but he cant perform on the level of guys like Murray and Brown and 2022 Wiggins and Middleton in 2021.
5. The Warriors don’t even have a single tall center. That’s a major weakness and TJD isnt ready to play that role yet.
6. CP3 and Klay to Anderson, Hield, and Melton isn’t really an upgrade. Warriors could magically lose the 3 guys they got and get CP3 and Klay back and u would go on a whole lecture about how they’re a title contender.
7. The Warriors will have good shooting, but that doesnt guarantee a good offense like OKC or Boston. They dont have enough star talent.
8. Therefore the Warriors will be a 13-seed in February and Curry will be traded to Lakers and they will win the championship. 🥰🥰
Unless there is a miraculous return of 2021-22 Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors will not be contenders.
Trade Andrew Wiggins for a center like Deandre Ayton, I would accept that trade and a win win trade for both teams

No get Lauri. We need someone who will average 20+ ppg for us. Buddy will probably average 15ppg and I can a see Kuminga averaging close to 20. However Lauri is a guaranteed 20-25ppg when healthy. Ayton would not do that for us. Trade Wiggins, Moody, Looney, and 2-3 first rounders for Lauri. I think that would get him. Don’t give up Kuminga lol

if they can get laurri markannen for someone like andrew wiggins then I think they would be serious contenders because Curry's offensive abilities won't decline so much and even if it does it will only be the off ball movement not the three point shooting or handles. Then with Laurri Markanennen and JK they would be well set for the future

Reasons the Warriors won't be title contenders. 1. They lack rim protection 2. The Denver Nuggets are still better 3. The Mavs are even better with Klay 4. The Kings are better with DeRozan 5. OKC will be better with Caruso and Isaiah Hartenstein. 6. Timberwolves are still a problem.
7) Healthy Pelicans with Murray. 8) Clippers 9) Lakers
The Warriors will finish at 23-62 next year.

I honestly feel like the Warriors are contenders right now. Kuminga,Trace, Podz…those three are special! Melton,Anderson,Heild are all great in there own way as role players. Heild is one of the best shooters in the nba, Melton has some of the best defense, very physical and can shoot the 3, and Anderson is a great floor general! With great size use to play PG basically at Ucla. Still got Wiggins yeah he had a off yr but he has great upside and will get more mins with klay gone. I feel Wiggins will be back to norm n Kuminga will be even better! Green has a point to prove too. We will be fine

I feel the 4 teams with the best chance of victory next year will be the warriors, mavs, knicks, and Celtics. The Celtics showed the blueprint for victory last year. Good three point shooting, good defense, good chemistry, and good depth. All of these teams will be bringing this to the field. The 76ers, kings, nuggets, and others will all be good. But I don’t see them winning it all.

The Dynasty is dead. Steph is older. He can't sustain great plays every night. Buddy Hield is small. Adequate defender. Adequate does not cut it. Kuminga is good but he ain't All NBA. He cannot carry a franchise. My two cents
Dude Steph is a shooter and plays off ball. Lmao shooters can play til late ages. I bet you said the same about Ray Allen. Curry is the GOAT shooter and fastest release. He also runs the most miles in the NBA and relocates constantly. He hasn’t had any major “career ending” injuries since his ankles early in his career. Dude can possibly play until he’s 42-43, he’s 36. I’d say he has at least 4 more years of MVP caliber play trying to win one more chip until he slows down and wants to just relax and take on a bench role just before he retires. Steph and Lebron are superhuman tbh they can be the Tom Brady of the NBA.

Not even close. They are too small and will get pounded in the paint. They also lack wing defenders and rim protectors. In the past they had a good all around defense and they had Bogut, West, Iguodala and Green. What ever they lacked was made up for by being 3 point snipers. Then they added KD and were unstoppable. The historic 3 point shooting dual of Curry and Klay is no longer present and Green is almost washed up. The West is so much better now.
