if it makes you feel any better, I'm Thai and all my thoughts and prayers are with all the lives in the Middle East. you can't go around commenting that the world doesn't care about you, in the midst of a crisis in my country thats just unfair. what we need is more positivity and unity in the world ! bless up
You guys please, don't blame the coach! He takes care of the children so well. He told the children to conserve the energy by laying down because he knows that human can live without food for about 70 days. It's like a hibernation of the animals. He sacrifices so much by gave them all of the foods and water for ten days. Don't blame him. He also didn't know there would be the flood into the cave. He did so well! please encourage him.

Don't they know that during this time period it might rain profusely? I assume it was dry when they went in? Are all the boys and the coach complete idiots? No one in this group have any sense? The liberal press never asks those kinds of questions! Why not? Give us context as to why they are miles into a cave? For what purpose? Am I supposed to weep for them?
Robert J. Davidson They all have been in that cave before, so many times. So this time they wanted to break the record. At that time in the cave was still dry and the warning period is about middle of july onwards. So they didn't know that was going to be flood on the cave.
Please refrain from speaking if you haven't been following the story as all those question have been answered. First, they had snacks, fizzy drinks, water and flashlights before they went into the cave. Second, they went into the cave as it was the birthday of one of the boys and he wanted to celebrate it exploring the cave. Third, they didn't walk miles into the cave as your comment seems to imply they walked 1 mile from the mouth of the cave. Fourth, they aren't idiots, for they had planned for their exploration in the cave and that is why they could last so long despite the flash floods No one had expected it would rain so soon, it was just an unfortunate incident. Lastly, the fact that they are all alive and doing well means you wont have to waste your oh so precious i don't give an f tears for they certainly aren't needed.
I don't think the Thai authorities will be hard on the coach, what we think is logical doesn't apply here, they are not like us, easily apportioning the blame, if they get them all out alive, I think the coach will be forgiven. But I think waiting until the end of rainy season is very risky. I have every faith in our guys who are leading the recovery, it will add a sense of logic to this complex situation.
As a citizen of Thailand, We all here appreciate the concern the world is showing. I have confidence in the personnel handling the situation and know that the boys will be delivered to their families safely.
Cristian Seitz i dont know how exactly the cave looks like, but can they put maybe a very long tube/pipe/duct and take them out? They will be save inside it, and can reach the exit..
We, who live here in Hawaii, close to where over 600 families lost their homes recently to lava, and see every day, the lava spreading near more homes.. we can understand and appreciate how the concern of strangers, really does help. So very pleased they all seem to be in good spirits and health.
I have to 💕THANKS the international community in assisting us. This would not have been possible if we didn’t help each other. Everybody did their part.❣
Team effort. Everybody's job is important -- Thai SEALS, Thai military, US Special Forces Pacific, UK cave divers... even the people doing the cooking and laundry there.
THANK YOU ALL 💕 SEALs💕 Military teams💕 and Thanks 💕 The experienced rescue teams from FOREIGN 💕Hundreds of rescue workers 💕and the FARMERs 💕 Thank you for Rescue 13 Life Trapped In Flooded Cave MISSION❣
The coach leads the children to a cave system which is a popular spot for adventure for a special celebration. The flash floods trap them inside the caves and the coach somehow manages to keep these children alive and safe till rescue comes. I see nothing wrong about that man. He is the one keeping them alive right now.
Dream Bigger, your American tax dollars? Mainly it was the Brits and European nations and private institutions who supported the rescue. Not your so called American Tax Dollars, there is a reason why people around the world think that America is filled with arrogant stupid heartless beings.
Chris Green I hope that in 2018 , these multinational professional rescuers find a way to damn and continue to divert that water out of the area where they can continue to be safe from rising waters.
Chris Green Put the boys under general anesthesia. Hook them up to the proper oxygen supply, etc... Strap them to an experienced diver. Divers swim out with the boys on their backs.
reversecourse it’s going to take them 7+ hours to get out of the cave most likely swimming and diving, if the boys are unconscious and if there are any complications with the oxygen supply the boys would need to be able to react and let the rescuer know. There’s also probably tight tunnels they have to manuever which will require both the rescuer and boys to swim and work together. Also they’re 12 years old 12 year olds are not babies and can be pretty damn heavy and big to just strap on your back and swim around with, especially in a dark tight cave..
Those English divers are phenomenal heroes. So wonderful as well to see the Thai Seals and caving experts from around the world work together to free these young men. God is watching out for these young men, and everyone pray for their quick recovery. Respect to the wonderful people of Thailand.
Wish you'd leave god out of this. It takes credit away from those who deserve it. And praying is a total waste of time. Virtually anything you could chose to do, and I do mean _anything_ would be more constructive than praying.
The best of the best assessed the danger themselves going in there to rescue them. If they believe the boys can't make it, stay on higher ground. The cave is known to drain itself ie was dry when they went in. Wait it out. Save the boys with patience. God help all of you. He says we can move mountains with our faith. Keep speaking the impossible. Maybe He will Stop the rains for a season. God bless you all. Love from us and all around the world🇺🇸
zach, yes i was wishing them GL on behalf of my country. As i can think of nothing that would bring a bit of joy to a world of unending troubles to see these boys returned home safe.
Btw, kudos to the Japanese. It was they who provided the equipment and expertise to pump water out of the cave. They are considered number one in the world with the expertise in this area. Just loving it that world'wide expertise is at work here. Not to take anything away from the THAI NAVY SEALS who have done a remarkable job. And, of course, the British divers. (The US? Well, i think Trump sent his "thoughts and prayers".
Im from the US, and yes, Trump isnt much help. However, Elon Musk (Owner and CEO of Tesla) is creating a mini submarine , and planning out ways too get them out. So at least some one is helping.
Well, the diving community is tight knit and cooperatives so many individuals from various countries (including the US) came to help as volunteers. While discovering the boys was a great feat, all the divers contributed. The Thai volunteers and workers are an amazing community! One image that stood out to me was a Thai Seal sleeping on a simple bamboo platforms- it really shows the resilience and strength of the Thai people. And I loved the Thais offering traditional massage to the rescuers and family. I've spent over a year in Thailand and they are a community based society and help each other.
Maybe it will go better than the reporter's concern. A congregation of volunteers from around the world with a common goal. The best of humanity. Bless them all.
Agreed .. this kind of news makes you smile when human beings comes together and try to do a difficult task. Compared to other news on TV that we have seen past few years This one is up our spirit
Invesigator .. At the time the Kursk had a major problem while submerged the US offered its help. Russia refused assistance. The search for the still missing Malaysian plane has involved multiple countries. The Chilean miners rescue involved experts from multiple countries. I understand and acknowledge your point but there are also people who help because they can, not for the promotion. No one can trust America for help at this time. Trump refused aid to an island of Americans hit by a Category 5 hurricane.
So happy to hear that all of the team and coach are alive and are in good spirits.. This was the outcome we were all hopping for...good news is rare to find but always welcome....
how about taking a long rope or tieing small ropes together and connecting to the distination...children with diving suits and oxygen tanks can follow ropes to exit. they may be just ropes but childrwn feel mentally strong and confident they can easily swim with support of ropes. this idea can be improved by experts and can execute successfully. may be divers cant swim longer distances with heavy weight ropes underwater so...many divers carry small length ropes and tieing them one after another and returning back this way reaching to children. dont know this idea can workout or not but hoping this might help tried alot to convey my opinion...dont blame my english posting under all videos comments hoping this to reach experts and may help to get them out
Dave Robertson i read somewhere that they are doing just that, but that its limestone so it would also take months as well as risks of parts of the cave collapsing in on them😔
Drill a rescue hole had taken to much time and dangerous circumstances. Ik glad its done. For now im praying to let them alive these days. We don't know if they are going good.
Draining the water from cave I'd like emptying the ocean. Why Can't they find away blocking rainwater from entering the cave. Surely, the water can be diverted or arrested temporarily on dams across the river . Hope smth can be done to extra are the boys and their coach.
Let's all wish nothing but the best for these boys, their coach and the Heroes putting their own lives on the line trying to rescue them all. I personally wouldn't be caught cave exploring for exactly this reason, but knowledge and understanding of the world we live in is often gained by curiosity and bravery. I too would like to pass judgment on this one but then I remind myself that in another part of the world, some are Bungie Jumping.
Kudos to the boys who were so brave in the dark and without food all that time! They are truly amazing! I SO hope they'll get out of there alive and well!

The euphoria is normal but may be premature. I assume a submersible craft is out because of narrow passages. Drilling a shaft is probably out as well due to the topography. Training the boys to become cave divers in such a short time and given their young age may not be an option either. It looks like the raised dry, shelf whimsically called "Pattaya Beach", is clear of the water now but the problem is, it may not remain so. If it is in fact high enough to remain dry no matter what amount of rain falls then a long waiting time may be the only safe option. It was possible for the boys and their coach to walk/wade there so hopefully they can eventually do the reverse. There's no easy solution and the Monsoon is a capricous entity. These kids are remarkably calm, united and practical. The Thai "Mai pen rai" philosophy is standing to them now. The divers who found them are true heroes
All the people are helping ours is the Hero! in our heart Not just one person. Thank you very much from Thai people. ทุกคนที่ช่วยเหลือพวกเรา เป็นฮีโร่ในดวงใจเราทุกคน ไม่ใช่เพียงคนเดียว ขอบคุณมากถึงมากที่สุดจากคนไทย
I have a young adult daughter who cannot swim and myself cannot swim....i can imagine the fear in having to learn how to swim at their ages....they say it may take the boys weeks to get prepared for this long journey out....it may take the boys 60 to 90 minutes too swim it....its going to be quite a distance over a mile long swim......they say one tank for a boy will not be enough..,they will have to stage tanks through out the cave...it's no visibility... It's dark and tight spots...going through...no where to turn around...no coming up from the water swimming through tight spots in the cave....if the boys panic it could be fatal...this is the most risky diving operation in the world people.
Old School: Check out your local area to find where you can get some swimming lessons. Take a few lessons with no intention of becoming some kind of great swimmer. As soon as you see how easy it is to stay afloat, you'd laugh at the fact that you ever feared water. If you learn nothing more, just learn to "dog paddle". I'm not even a good swimmer, , not to mind a great one. If not for yourself, do it for your daughter. You two can do it together. A handfull of lessons and you'll wonder what you were ever afraid of. Learning how to swim will be one of the simplest things you have ever tried. Once you do it and see how easy it is, you'll feel like a million bucks. It will be one less fear in life that you have to deal with. (And, btw, it feels pretty good, too. Do you know that you can, in deep water, just turn on your back. spread your arms wide, arch your neck, just breathe normally, and you can float?
OLD SCHOOL Yes, it is a dangerous mission, and from afar all's I know I can do is pray continuously, faithfully. I believe you are projecting what you fear, water and maybe drowning, onto this situation. I sense your fear. We all project our fears, that is until we address them head-on. I do believe what 2 others said that it is never too late to take swimming lessons. Then you will see the only thing to fear is fear itself! Good luck on these endeavors if you decide to pursue such. Let's continue to send our prayers onto the rescuers, kids & coach, families as they continue their rescue efforts and as they begin coming out of the cave today and no matter what our fears tell us, we all need to expect and believe for the best outcome. God bless!
+OLD SCHOOL I, too, need to advise you and your daughter to learn to swim. Even a very bad swimmer can save their own life and the lives of others thanks to their ability to swim. No one who tells you how easy it is to learn to swim is downplaying anything. Even in a world in which swimming would be neither fun nor exercise everybody would need to learn to swim for safety reasons. It's a precaution you can take that costs so litte (time as well as money, if you even have to pay for it) and brings you so much. It doesn't matter if you or your daughter are afraid of water or afraid of going underwater with your head or even just your mouth. You can still learn to swim sufficiently well to be able to save yourself and others depending on the situation.
I find it ironic how people who have no idea about the whole situation have the audacity to blame or wish something adverse to happen to the coach, while the Thais are the ones hoping for all their safety return and are grateful the coach was there to guide them during the ordeal
Let me educate you idiots. The group went in at June. Monsoon starts at August in Thailand. Weather decided it was a different story and started monsoon early.
Hi everyone This is a complex and difficult situation for all. The boys can't swim or dive. They are far into the cave. The dive is complex even for experienced cave dives. There are only a few divers in the world who could lead this effort on the original search and two of them were the two Brits. They managed to do what they came to do. Now they are half way through the delicate operation to get them out. Some people may wonder why not just keep doing it faster and get them all out in one go. The extraction plan would have been very complex and precise. It is not just the divers but also the logistical supply chain keeping it going. The replacement of all the swap gear along the way. They would be changing cylinders at certain stages. They have to get them ready for the next attempt, so while the divers are taking their break there would be a hive of activity still occurring underground getting everything reset. I'm an Aussie diver and in the diving world we have a saying "Plan your dive, and dive your plan". This way you wont get ahead of yourself and everyone knows the schedule and their part perfectly. At the time of writing this it is 8 out 5 to go at 0424hrs Zulu 10Jul 2018. With the current successes I believe they will get the remainder out without difficulty. The reason is "They are diving the plan".
I'm speechless at this horrible situation. Thank God rescuers and divers are able to bring food and oxygen to the boys and their coach to keep them healthy and alive. Prayers from Mexico.
Heard the coach gave all the foods to the kids, and he is the weakest physically. Apparently they went in the cave to celebrate a birthday for one of the team member. It’s unfortunate that this event happened when it doesn’t normally rain heavily until the month of July. I guess the heavy storms decided to come early. Mother Nature’s is so unpredictable!
I've read that a human can go without food for about three weeks but would typically only last three to four days without water. I also read that there was a trickle of fresh water entering the cave; that's how they survived. My heart goes out to all, including the brave men and women trying to rescue them. I pray they do!
It was late June when they went in. The rains may come weeks earlier or later than expected. The best thing is to check the day's weather forecast before you go caving. If there's going to be rain, it's best to avoid areas known to flood.
I got irritated when I read some comments blaming the coach for not checking the weather so I decided to check it by searching the place and the date and it said that the weather was supposed to be partly sunny/cloudy at times. No rain was expected and the rain season was not supposed to start until mid july (and in case it starts earlier the caves are off limits since 1st of july). They went there 23rd of june and expected to be back the same day. Weather is really unexpectable and we shouldn't blame anyone for the accident.
Most experienced cavers would plumb for the sit it out option. If the existing water level;s can be dropped, there may be some mileage in moving the boys toward the entrance where possible, but if a safe, high level passage can be located where a camp can be established, it's common sense to wait it out there. Food rations, sleeping bags and comforts can all be brought to them. Although it is an unpleasant and unpalatable solution, it is much safer to sit it out than subjecting non swimmers to scuba. The drill down option is likely to be a non starter because of the terrain above their location. Surface pumps can only draw down the main sinking streams but big systems like this have myriad inlets from all directions.
I'm curious about the lack of oxygen there? Or is that not a problem? Also, monsoon season just barely started and the pumps they were using seem to be very inefficient especially as the season goes on.
My heart & prayers are with them & their families. I cannot begin to imagine what these boys & coach have had to endure & in the Dark! The US holds it breath as we await their safe return to their families!
So far, 8/EIGHT youngsters have been rescued from that treacherous cave. This morning, after getting out of slumber, Ii immediately check the early morning news. My elation was after the similitude of a happy rocket launching into pace. Another youngster had been rescued. During my morning exercises...away from home, I kept pondering on the possibility of MORE being rescued. I got home and found out the wondrous number of 8 represented those whom had been rescued by those angelic divers. May later news/tomorrow's news provide assurance in a glorious way, "ALL the youngsters and the coach have been rescued!" May Heaven hasten the moment that spells out my faith!
Outstanding coverage describing the whole situation there in Northern Thailand. The TV news here in California gives about 10 seconds of news coverage each day.
I strongly believe that the cave rescue should be attempted using closed circuit rebreathers and full face masks. In addition, a flexible oxygen line/hose could be laid together with an electricity and communications line...similar to the umbilical used in commercial diving operations. The divers are going to attach and fix lines anyway for the rescue. I could only see in the single 12 litre tanks in all the footage and images aired. Commercial diving support companies have the umbilical lines in sections and they can be attached together to cover the distance. Underwater scooters would also expedite the extraction.
It's a start to gather experts to find a plan but this looks extremely dangerous. I'm not religious, don't even know if I believe, but I find myself praying. Let these kids go home safe to their parents.
Thanks for reporting. There are all options I see and some others already said. These should be running in parallel to ensure success if one of other options fail. 1. Drill from top or side of the mountain which can take days or weeks with some trails and errors. I love to see more modern equipment from international communities to help out with drilling. 2. Dive out which post some challenges as well as kids are beginners and some don't swim, narrow passage, current, darkness, failure to use mask properly, For diving in dark you will need all high tech compass and other navigation devices. A expert diver with double up with a kid. They will need a lot of mental and physical fitness as well I have heard it took 4 hours to come out. 3. Increase pumping water out with higher speed and volume with more equipment. Have to prepare of the worst case and maximize drainage due to more rain. 4. Wait out for a few months until rainy season ends. At the end, I believe we can surely do it. My 2 cents.
One of the best reports I’ve seen on the story, made me cry especially with the two British guys finding them, incredible. Hoping they make a speedy rescue and safetly.
A great report! satisfied my soul for Im craving for an excellent longer explanation and information regarding rescue and operation bringing 12 boys and coach trapped, i love it!😍😍😍
Time to send some scuba diving instructors there and give the kids a crash course on diving. Then make a couple short trips, then longer trips near the trapped air bubble, for the same duration that would be required for the swim out of the cave. Then with the help of a guide rope, help them swim out.
Vention1MGTOW they’ve already done and are doing that. But with no visibility, huge current, narrow passages that require removing your scuba gear, kids that don’t swim, malnutrition, and a 5-6 hour swim- it’s really not advisable. The chances of loss of life are higher than survival
*+Kristal Sieh* *>they’ve already done and are doing that. Vention1MGTOW Put the boys under general anesthesia. Hook them up to the proper oxygen supply, etc... Strap them to an experienced diver. Divers swim out with the boys on their backs.

Restoring my Faith to Humanity. People who is not after the limelight but is just there to help makes me choked up. I am just another stranger thanking all of those people who help the boys and their coach get back to safety. Thank you very much.
ทุกนาทีมีค่า yea true heroes don't do it for the fame and I applaud the whole team that's been involved in this but we have to publicly aknowledge their heroism as they deserve it to the full 😊
use ropes from one side to the other, set stations, attach rock climbing ropes to the waist of kids, have kids hold onto pulling ropes while men from other side of deep and fast water chambers pull. have medics, extra air tanks, food and water at every station. maybe need alot of volunteers, 3-4 men to wait at each station behind deep pools to do the pulling. Pray to God to help seize the rain, to make the monsoons stop and skies to clear and water level to dry. God bless!
Xiong Guy’s Loft Put the boys under general anesthesia. Hook them up to the proper oxygen supply, etc... Strap them to an experienced diver. Divers swim out with the boys on their backs.
There are some tight passage that only one man can fit through plus the water current are so strong and murky zero visiblity relying only on divers instinct.
Proud of these well behaved children. Remain calm, polite and alert even they have gone without food for 9 days. They didnt tear one another and turn into cannibal.
Extraordinary story. Doesn't sound right though for them to stay down there for 4 months. Best to try and get them out somehow even if it means navigating the labyrinth of tunnels. Huge credit to the 2 Brits and everyone else involved in the rescue operation.
Gavla Tennis they will need to get them out soon because it is going to rain soon so they will need to wait until the rain season is over, which will take months. It isn't stable for them to get out because they never dove before in their lives. If it took the best of the best 8 days to dive there, there is no way the kids can get out in 2 days before the rain. There will only be a bigger risk of death if they try to get them out now
Gavla Tennis That’s why you’re not in charge. You’re not there, you’re not a world class diver. But ‘it doesn’t sound right ‘ to you. What an insult to the best of the best that are there, are world class divers, and it took them days. So teach the kids how to be world class divers and for their first dive the hardest dive in the world. Nit wit.
I assume that there is an element of danger each time the divers swim to the cave. I wonder if there is any chance of the cave flooding to the top? I can't imagine how terrifying it would be to be dragged on a stretcher for over 4 hours to get out with no possible control over your own fate. It's such a long distance. I imagine some of the boys will need to be sedated. And I don't suppose you can safely rig a pulley over such a distance. I just hope they get those poor lads out sooner rather than later.
I don't know. I 'm not a diver. I would imagine a 14 year old having a panic attack 2 hours along a flooded tunnel was more dangerous. Is it impossible to secure a mask to a sedated person? What if they were unconscious?
sedation means everything slows down ... respiration, heart beat, pulse, cognition ... your senses become dull .. responses painfully slow ... these boys will need to be HIGHLY alert and quick on the responce if they decide to dive using buddy system .. there are tight fits that will require divers to dump their gear, go through and then reel boys in, who'll be on their own for the entirety of this time .. means no sedation ...
I'd just like to point out that all of the boys WERE indeed sedated for EXACTLY the reasons I pointed out. To quote: "the boys were sedated, some were asleep because the divers were afraid of the boys panicking". They were encased in plastic stretchers completely unable to move. You were wrong on literally every argument you made against the process. So yeah, it seems that you aren't as smart as you thought. Next time, try a little humility. th-cam.com/video/770lsq5t5_A/w-d-xo.html
lol ... dude ... like come on .. we are not in the "i told you so" kindergarden " ... are we ?? but since you try to rub it in, i'll give you some crow to eat ..... re-read what i wrote ... sedation is out of the question if " they decide to dive using buddy system" , which original data stated they would try to do due to cave specifics, which needed the boys to be ALERT AND AWAKE .. of course, since they decided to shlep them in on stretchers like dead weight, and cave configuration actualy allowed them to do that, than sedation is the way to go ... like, duh ...
Canada is with you.......blessed are the divers, the heroes ..........on my mind since last week, won't breathe a full breath until the last soul is out......🙏🏻
Rather thorough, holistic picture of various aspects of this drama. I don't think I saw any of the super-helpful context-setting diagrams shown on some other programs.
a climbing rope with a diver at each end and the children in the middle in a line with diving gear on of course, maybe they can lead them through the caves that way.
The kids are indeed tough to survive all these days but I think it's foolish to assume these kids can survive underwater with zero visibilty for hours not to mention their current physical and mental state. Not recognising the hardship and dangers the divers have had to overcome is a total disrespect to them and their profession. What the kids need most now is food and doctors and companions to tell the whole world is waiting to see them again not just their families.. The kids can survive over 9 days all by themselves and without food and lights. Now with food, doctors, reliable companions and support and pray from many parts of the world, they can do it much longer, while options are being assessed.
The world is with Thailand!

I don't think the Thai authorities will be hard on the coach, what we think is logical doesn't apply here, they are not like us, easily apportioning the blame, if they get them all out alive, I think the coach will be forgiven. Cristian Seitz i dont know how exactly the cave looks like, but can they put maybe a very long tube/pipe/duct and take them out? They will be save inside it, and can reach the exit..
My thought exactly Bianca....caves appear to be so tight... a 2 foot diameter flexible tube, they can crawl through.
1.6 miles of pipe thru a cave that has places with barely enough room to squeeze through will not work.
Cristian Seitz blessings and prayers from Mexico!
We, who live here in Hawaii, close to where over 600 families lost their homes recently to lava, and see every day, the lava spreading near more homes.. we can understand and appreciate how the concern of strangers, really does help. So very pleased they all seem to be in good spirits and health.
It's a wonderful thing seeing all these different people come together to rescue these kids. I'm looking forward to seeing them get out of there.

These divers are our Heroes. Thank you so much for helping us and work as one team together. Big love from Thailand.
Well done guys for finding these lads. You are all amazing !
The coach leads the children to a cave system which is a popular spot for adventure for a special celebration. The flash floods trap them inside the caves and the coach somehow manages to keep these children alive and safe till rescue comes. I see nothing wrong about that man. He is the one keeping them alive right now.
The Thai's agree with you :) www.theguardian.com/news/2018/jul/10/brother-ekk-thai-coach-who-put-players-first-right-to-the-end
Dream Bigger, your American tax dollars? Mainly it was the Brits and European nations and private institutions who supported the rescue. Not your so called American Tax Dollars, there is a reason why people around the world think that America is filled with arrogant stupid heartless beings.
This is an insanely complex rescue. I only hope to god the rain stays away, and they can do it.
Chris Green I hope that in 2018 , these multinational professional rescuers find a way to damn and continue to divert that water out of the area where they can continue to be safe from rising waters.
The rain will not stay away. It comes in deluges every year.
Also they’re 12 years old 12 year olds are not babies and can be pretty damn heavy and big to just strap on your back and swim around with, especially in a dark tight cave..
reversecourse some parts of the cave are that narrow that you need to take the air tank off at least from what I heard on the news
These divers Rick and John volenton are just heroes
Just awesome . But how on earth do they teach these novices to dive like they do
5hadowfax Thank you. The best chance the boys and the adult have is the collective expertise of the many experts who are on scene.
good luck to all of you from Britain
Set 1942 Not only from Britain! All of them who was involved!!
Love from us and all around the world🇺🇸
Thanks. From Thailand.
JOHN DANA I think he is saying good luck , from the British people
zach, yes i was wishing them GL on behalf of my country.
Your summer Will come trump doesnt care about anyone but himself honestly
His international affairs are warped
Well, the diving community is tight knit and cooperatives so many individuals from various countries (including the US) came to help as volunteers. While discovering the boys was a great feat, all the divers contributed.
The Thai volunteers and workers are an amazing community! One image that stood out to me was a Thai Seal sleeping on a simple bamboo platforms- it really shows the resilience and strength of the Thai people. And I loved the Thais offering traditional massage to the rescuers and family. I've spent over a year in Thailand and they are a community based society and help each other.
Hello Dapp love Elon! I live near his Space X program
Good luck from North America.🤗😎
Danny Nicastro Good luck to North America.
Luck, just what they need..This aint Vegas
Gee thx...
Lord, God, help the experts find the right answer to save the children, their coach, and divers. Amen.
Maybe it will go better than the reporter's concern. A congregation of volunteers from around the world with a common goal. The best of humanity. Bless them all.
millieo yes, the best! 👍💕
Agreed .. this kind of news makes you smile when human beings comes together and try to do a difficult task.
Trump refused aid to an island of Americans hit by a Category 5 hurricane.
why would British divers be affected by which countries America dislikes? The rescue effort is multinational not just US
Faith in humanity restored, indeed!
So happy to hear that all of the team and coach are alive and are in good spirits.. This was the outcome we were all hopping for...good news is rare to find but always welcome....
I hope everyone makes it out safe 🙏
emdeethao Thank you
how about taking a long rope or tieing small ropes together and connecting to the distination...children with diving suits and oxygen tanks can follow ropes to exit. they may be just ropes but childrwn feel mentally strong and confident they can easily swim with support of ropes. this idea can be improved by experts and can execute successfully.
may be divers cant swim longer distances with heavy weight ropes underwater so...many divers carry small length ropes and tieing them one after another and returning back this way reaching to children.
dont know this idea can workout or not but hoping this might help
tried alot to convey my opinion...dont blame my english
posting under all videos comments hoping this to reach experts and may help to get them out
Four hours just on the way out, that is worryingly long dive for anyone especially the kids! May they all come out safe soon.
DreamingTata VeganMama one news source said 6 hours to dive out!
Dave Robertson yup.
Dave Robertson i read somewhere that they are doing just that, but that its limestone so it would also take months as well as risks of parts of the cave collapsing in on them😔
Only a fraction of the trip is under water.
Drill a rescue hole had taken to much time and dangerous circumstances. Ik glad its done. For now im praying to let them alive these days. We don't know if they are going good.
Hopefully all goes well. Search and Rescue people will be studying this case for years to come.
That's a really good point, Nolsp. I hadn't thought of that.
Draining the water from cave I'd like emptying the ocean. Why Can't they find away blocking rainwater from entering the cave. Surely, the water can be diverted or arrested temporarily on dams across the river . Hope smth can be done to extra are the boys and their coach.
Same.
And they'll wonder how 'rescuers' managed to pump a load of water BACK IN.
Or just not go out with 12 boys and no equipment or training , like sit on the grass and read a them a book ?? NO???? THIS IS NORMAL
Excellent report.
TheTrueDemocracy That’s not what news organisations do (at least not the good ones)
thank you for raising this point, sick of explaining what (most) news programs are there for
TheTrueDemocracy it brought more paranoia
just praying for everyone NYC
LOL please can I have a toke of your crack pipe?
Let's all wish nothing but the best for these boys, their coach and the Heroes putting their own lives on the line trying to rescue them all. I personally wouldn't be caught cave exploring for exactly this reason, but knowledge and understanding of the world we live in is often gained by curiosity and bravery. I too would like to pass judgment on this one but then I remind myself that in another part of the world, some are Bungie Jumping.
Prayers from the US.
Kudos to the boys who were so brave in the dark and without food all that time! They are truly amazing! I SO hope they'll get out of there alive and well!
Maloy7800 - Could someone tell me why a bunch of boys and a coach go inside a cave, that far, in the 1st place? Supposedly no water or food or even the ability to know how to swim? Don't they know that during this time period it might rain profusely? I assume it was dry when they went in? Are all the boys and the coach complete idiots? No one in this group have any sense? The liberal press never asks those kinds of questions! Why not? Give us context as to why they are miles into a cave? For what purpose? Am I supposed to weep for them?
How many times you had to post this to get a reaction? Here's the reaction. Get lost, troll!
Im a Christian so imma pray god to keep them.Keep them safe.Keep them covered!🙌🙏
Jeannine Lewis Amen! 🙌🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙌
Jeannine Lewis jesus christ its christain bourne
prayers don't do anything for the kids directly though it may make you calmer i guess. unless theres quantum effects we don't know of yet.
If people relied on faith and didnt do anything to help hoping their God would help them. What would happen to the kids ?
Boi Boi2 this isnt bible study save it for someone else
This is incredible
I can't even fantom the complexity and risk of this rescue. Best of luck to all involved.
Inspirational really
Prayers from Italy.
Paschal Anthony Thank you
Soreofhing you saying that doesn't help.
Paschal Anthony Golliwogs from Mars 😀😀😀😀👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👾👾👾👾🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅
Keep praying GOD HEARS YOU! Don't FEED or mind the enemy...... Keep on praying.....its so rewarding. The heart is what matters. GOD has the power!
Soreofhing are you helping? Don't say you are by paying taxes cuz that doesn't help either
I would think the boys would need sedated then taken out. A kid would panic to much.
So nice to see nice and supportive comments here in this thread! Gives me hope in this world. Thanks all!!
Hope these boys and their coach make it through safely. God bless everyone involved in their rescue.
I find it ironic how people who have no idea about the whole situation have the audacity to blame or wish something adverse to happen to the coach, while the Thais are the ones hoping for all their safety return and are grateful the coach was there to guide them during the ordeal
no to
Those rescuers are phenomenally brave. My guess is they will widen the narrow passage ways
This bring tears in my eyes.
Thank you for your kindness
Brilliant work for the rescue team.
Thank you so much.
can't believe all these people in the comments calling them idiots as if they know better than them.
Harambe Was here I mean, I've never got stuck in a cave 🤷♀️
Nor have I ever IGNORED FLOOD WARNING SIGNS
Flash floods don't give warning thats why it is called a flash flood.
Let me educate you idiots.
The group went in at June.
Monsoon starts at August in Thailand.
Weather decided it was a different story and started monsoon early.
Hi everyone
This is a complex and difficult situation for all.
Excellent report. Thanks for sharing.
I'm speechless at this horrible situation. Thank God rescuers and divers are able to bring food and oxygen to the boys and their coach to keep them healthy and alive. Prayers from Mexico.
Prayers from Illinois, USA 🇺🇸
Me too
Praying daily for their rescue..love from Dubai
Well said Daniel..
It was late June when they went in. The rains may come weeks earlier or later than expected.
The best thing is to check the day's weather forecast before you go caving. If there's going to be rain, it's best to avoid areas known to flood.
Jonathan Tan -For that part of the world, and I have been there, it is very unpredictable. No forecast can ever predict Mother Nature accurately!
If everything goes well, you know Hollywood's gonna make a movie about this, and Marky Mark's gonna play one of the divers
tymmhumn
John Smithee Marky Marks happens to be one of the best Actors in these type movies..,.,
Gutchie Spencer yeah he was pretty fucking good in Patriots Day ngl
They need a uk actor probably Pierce Brosnan
A faith based studio from the US is aiming to make a movie....... I will just leave it at that
The scariest situation ever
Nick Blake not really
being stranded in open ocean is worse
What a marvelous job done by those divers, brilliant. They sure are heroes. Sending my prayers from Eastern Africa waryaa.
Agreed. The issue is whether the part they are in floods to the roof in the monsoon or if the air pocket will remain.
Edward Gross
They do in fact have the best people working on it.
Robert CROSS
That long in the near 100% humidity sounds like pneumonia is next.
Edward Gross
And you’re right.
The best of the best.
I'm curious about the lack of oxygen there? Or is that not a problem? Also, monsoon season just barely started and the pumps they were using seem to be very inefficient especially as the season goes on.
So happy the whole world is watching, praying, following this rescue. We are human!
Thailand, we are with you. Mainly the West I would think. That's because we believe in you and your families lives. Love to all.
Prayers from UK. May you all get out safe and sound!
My heart & prayers are with them & their families. I cannot begin to imagine what these boys & coach have had to endure & in the Dark! The US holds it breath as we await their safe return to their families!
Soreofhing Faithless heathen, step aside.
Oh....so your one of those atheists who stands tall & firm on "nothing". Hmm...interesting, but bleak.
Well, dissuading others from doing what DOES help, by saying "prayers won't help", is not helping your fellow man, or yourself.
E Grove Thank you
So far, 8/EIGHT youngsters have been rescued from that treacherous cave.
Godspeed everyone. This is heart wrenching. Poor guys. They look strong. They'll be just fine.
They are fine !! They little Freemasons participating in a HOAX for TV ratings , just like Chilean miners saga !!!
Outstanding coverage describing the whole situation there in Northern Thailand. The TV news here in California gives about 10 seconds of news coverage each day.
Good luck from Canada.
Im happy lots of people are helping to get this boys out..God bless you all..Praying here from Philippines
This breaks my heart. I hope they come out safe. I’m praying for them❤️ love from Boston
It's a start to gather experts to find a plan but this looks extremely dangerous. I'm not religious, don't even know if I believe, but I find myself praying. Let these kids go home safe to their parents.
have you said, Thai people have been glued to the news.. 😇😍 Love yours.., thanks heaps
My prayers are with the kids
A great report! satisfied my soul for Im craving for an excellent longer explanation and information regarding rescue and operation bringing 12 boys and coach trapped, i love it!😍😍😍
I'm not the praying type but I certainly am praying now for their safe rescue
superb report! well done channel 4 . from thailand.
The highest order of hero's their are! Kudo's to Channel 4 News for such a great report.
From someone who was born in Thailand but grew up in the USA, I wish them luck and hope they all are able to came out safe from all this.
Prayers from Singapore
I am Thai woman.I really many thanks for your kindness for helping childrens and their coach safe ....Lucky for them ...You are Super heroes.
*+Kristal Sieh*

Woa, in that case those kids might want to make themselves comfortable since they may be in there for another 4 months. Thanks for the update.
Vention1MGTOW Put the boys under general anesthesia. Hook them up to the proper oxygen supply, etc...
Strap them to an experienced diver.
Divers swim out with the boys on their backs.

Lol, no doubt! That trip was bad enough as it was.
Whizper2me
I expect that you are right.
They’ll get you all out. You have the best rescuers in the world. Stay strong, boys! Prayers from the Philippines.
How they got down there is not an issue at the moment, but how to get them out...my heart goes out to them.
Prayers from Kenya. These divers are simply out of this world. God bless the whole process and everyone involed
speedy recovery boyz! I'm sure all the boyz and the coach will great people from now on!
KUDOS to everyone in the Rescue Team!

They are still in the cave. With monsoon season beginning.
Invesigator errrrrrr.... I Nv ask u to believe what I believe in. I don’t think I’m preaching here .. but key boards is yours :)
Feel free to type whatever u want

Rainbow Panda says well at least something positive to start with. ... so let’s hope they are positive about getting through it :)
Restoring my Faith to Humanity. People who is not after the limelight but is just there to help makes me choked up. I am just another stranger thanking all of those people who help the boys and their coach get back to safety. Thank you very much.
This is what we call the best of Britain true heroes and will come back to this country with full honours and will be loved by everyone....
British divers went straight back home after his mission finished so I think he does not want to be in the news or being famous.
ทุกนาทีมีค่า yea true heroes don't do it for the fame and I applaud the whole team that's been involved in this but we have to publicly aknowledge their heroism as they deserve it to the full 😊
Prayers from Australia ❤️❤️
I can't wait for the movie to come out.
Brexit Monger movie sounds better
It is a freaking movie ! Phoney fake show , just like Chilean miners ! All for TV ratings !
sergei sukhoruchenkov yep,all smiles,no shirts,no mars bars to chew on,fresh water, just hanging out, good diversion story
Yup..'based on true story'
jmannii actually, this is a live action of a certain manga.
Really appreciate the in depth reporting and explanation. It's difficult to grasp why this is so difficult, but this helps explain.
the 2 divers should be knighted by the Queen. They are the best
My prayers were answered for these young men God is great still praying from America
use ropes from one side to the other, set stations, attach rock climbing ropes to the waist of kids, have kids hold onto pulling ropes while men from other side of deep and fast water chambers pull. have medics, extra air tanks, food and water at every station. maybe need alot of volunteers, 3-4 men to wait at each station behind deep pools to do the pulling.
+reversecourse The cave system is too narrow for two people, they can’t even have their tanks on their back, they have to be dragged behind them
There are some tight passage that only one man can fit through plus the water current are so strong and murky zero visiblity relying only on divers instinct.
Xiong Guy’s Loft 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
reversecourse 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Many prayers for these boys and their rescuers from Tennessee.
Proud of these well behaved children. Remain calm, polite and alert even they have gone without food for 9 days. They didnt tear one another and turn into cannibal.
That is because , it is all fake , just for TV ratings !!!
sergei sukhoruchenkov what are you a Russian bot?
Good luck and my sincere blessing from Singapore
One JESUS can do a miracle. I pray the rain will be stopped and all will be safe back to their homes.
Excellent, extremely informative report. Ty.
There will only be a bigger risk of death if they try to get them out now
Gavla Tennis
That’s why you’re not in charge.
You’re not there, you’re not a world class diver. But ‘it doesn’t sound right ‘ to you.
What an insult to the best of the best that are there, are world class divers, and it took them days.
So teach the kids how to be world class divers and for their first dive the hardest dive in the world.
Nit wit.
Great Report by Channel 4. Thanks.
to the mom of the British divers - the world is watching and hoping thanks to your sons - peace and happiness
Thank you to all who participated in rescue operations. job well done!
I just hope they get those poor lads out sooner rather than later.
u kidding? sedated while using oxygen from a tank?
Next time, try a little humility.

lol ... dude ... like come on .. we are not in the "i told you so" kindergarden " ... are we ?? but since you try to rub it in, i'll give you some crow to eat ..... re-read what i wrote ... sedation is out of the question if " they decide to dive using buddy system" , which original data stated they would try to do due to cave specifics, which needed the boys to be ALERT AND AWAKE .. of course, since they decided to shlep them in on stretchers like dead weight, and cave configuration actualy allowed them to do that, than sedation is the way to go ... like, duh ...
Following the news every minute, do your best guys, you rock! Love and hope from Bangladesh

May all the young boys stay safe and even the rescuers be safe.
6:40 maybe they can go half way back, looks like high ground in the middle. Or put 100 rescuers 50 ft apart and escort each kid like a relay hand off.
sean craig Swriously, fully fit and highly trained divers struggled to reach the kids.. let alone these mentally and physically exhausted kids.
sean craig There are spots that were too narrow for one person that they have to remove their breathing gear and zero visibility .
The kids are small and tough, maybe make a rope of christmas lights, have them grab on and pull them through one by one with a diver behind each.
It will rain again so that part will flood again
The kids are indeed tough to survive all these days but I think it's foolish to assume these kids can survive underwater with zero visibilty for hours not to mention their current physical and mental state. Not recognising the hardship and dangers the divers have had to overcome is a total disrespect to them and their profession. What the kids need most now is food and doctors and companions to tell the whole world is waiting to see them again not just their families.. The kids can survive over 9 days all by themselves and without food and lights. Now with food, doctors, reliable companions and support and pray from many parts of the world, they can do it much longer, while options are being assessed.
Excellent report. Thanks.
God bless them all the divers are a real heroes am wondering how come the kids survived for 9 days without food source
They collect water from leakage wall, hibernate themselves by not moving and meditation
It's possible to survive that long without food as long as there is drinkable water. They were starving though, it would have been painful.
They had food with them. Go read. They prepared some for the trip
Shadowisp it''s enough for 1-2 days only.
